ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic - Richlands

I don't agree with some of the reviews painting ECU Richlands in a bad light. This is why . . I called - they picked up. I requested an appointment- I got one the next day. My PA's assistant greeted me in a friendly manner, immediately took my Vitals and in a few minutes my PA entered the exam room as though he was genuinely happy to see me. He was extremely concerned about my overall welfare, asked all the right questions, and provided me with a comprehensive plan that included blood work, medications, and future self care. Including the blood panel, the conversation and check up with my Primary Care PA, I was in and out in exactly 60 minutes. Can't speak for the other disgruntled reviewers but it seems that everyone in my story had good attitudes. Kinda makes you wonder . . .

I have had 2 appointments one of which was last minute super urgent, they got me in even though it was super busy. I even filled out the new patient paperwork ahead of time. I'm not sure why there's negative feedback here. But I love this practice more than other Healthcare providers I have seen.

Staff is great and Amanda is a fantastic NP. Communications can be a bit lacking. Overall much better than many places to include NRMC Lejeune.

Great Family Doctor. All staff are very pleasant.

I've called and left 3 voicemails asking for an appointment over the course of 6 months and have yet to receive a call back. They've never answered the phone either. Not sure what kind of organization in the year 2024 is so behind on the times that even a phone call is too much to ask for. But if there ever was such a place, it's no surprise that it lies within Richlands, North Carolina. I wish I could speak on the professionalism of the nurses and doctors, however I cannot even get ahold of a receptionist. I think I'd rather drive to Jacksonville or even Wilmington before trying here again. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get help when it's urgently needed if it's this impossible to schedule a routine appointment. If you value your time and health, you may need to consider a much farther drive from Richlands.

I drove all the way from Jacksonville over to this location in Richlands for a nurse visit. When I get here at 3:15 pm, they’re closed. I understand if there is training, etc but in the middle of the afternoon is unacceptable if your hours posted are from 8-5pm. I’ve waisted gas and my time today, only for them to tell me to go to an urgent care.

I would leave 0 stars if I could... Showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment, filled out paperwork and turned it back in, then continued to sit in the waiting room for ONE HOUR. Asked staff if they had any idea how much longer I would be waiting past my appointment time and they said "I dont know. Do you have somewhere to be or something?". I told them yes, back to work. They said they would ask a nurse and get back to me. I waited another 20 minutes and still no response. Went back up and cancelled my appointment and left. There was ZERO communication from them, ZERO apologies, nothing.

Filled out paperwork as a new patient. I was informed that once I returned with the paperwork, I would be contacted by the patient appointment Pogue. After four business days, 12 phone calls that were never answered and three messages left, no call was returned. When I went into the office to attempt a face to face setting to obtain an appointment, I was ostracized and confronted by the staff, as they inferred it was somehow my fault. I have no idea if the physicians are competent because I couldn't get past the folks in the fron. An unfortunate case of employment narcissism.

Terrible place . The provider Amanda Marshburn Been trying to get appointments to rheumatologist and pain management for over 5 months now . Kept telling me having problems with my insurance. They have no feelings and don’t care about their patients. Very rude always lying. Went to another Doctor and in 2 days already got appointments set up for me .. For almost 5 months in severe pain begging for help just to be told they having problems with my insurance and for got about my hand being numb for 5 months . Plus last time I call ask if they made appointments and said that I was aggravating. Plus on the medical records she wrote down she lie about several things . I wouldn’t even rate this place a one .

They yall at you the guy today yall at me and made me cry I was so mad the are rude and the are disgusting the don't even wash there hands they wanted me to pee in a cup but I couldn't they said they was going to force to make me pee and I was so scared guy I recommend to not send your kids here the doctors will yall at you if you don't agree with them plz post this on tiktok and ignore an snap face book to plz share this to the world

Told to be there by 7;15 which I was. 1st employee showed up @ 7:24. At 7:30, front door still locked. I will be looking for another Dr. / health provider

The provider Amanda Marshburn was rude, she talked to me like I was a child and argued with me about what I should do with my body. If I could.give her zero stars I would. I think she shouldn't be a physician if she doesn't care for the patients need and input about their own health.

Called office 5 times before got someone to answer phone. Said that they would call back with in a hour still waiting would not recommend this place. They do not care
