This business has one of the best family-oriented bosses I've encountered! He is so sweet and caring towards his trail guides and volunteers and the horses are in such great health and treated so well! The guides are trained thoroughly and each of them are so friendly especially towards new or unexperienced riders! They're all great with kids and even if the horses decide to be a little slow the guides handle it very well. They even do rides for autistic individuals!! The beach ride is EPIC and so worth what little they charge for it!! They do birthday events and you can rent a horse for Halloween rides at $40 an hour!! How cool! Definitely make sure you experience this!! You can walk, trot, canter, or even gallop if you want to!! And no age requirements or limits!

We enjoyed the horseback riding so much that we went Friday and then again Sunday before returning home. It was such a pleasure to take my niece. Will plan to return next time we’re in town.

I have sadly forgotten our trail guides name, I’m so sorry, but she had a no face tattoo and did taxidermy. She was amazing, so incredibly sweet and informative. She made our trail ride special. I recommend this to anyone.

I’ve came here a handful of times and every time I’ve come it’s always been a positive experience. This place is truly a gem and you won’t find another place like it. The trail guides are always so welcoming and knowledgeable. I love that you can go as fast or as slow as you’d like and the guides base the ride off of your experience rather than micromanaging you through every step. The horses are also clearly taken care of and well loved, which I love to see! Every time I come back to NC I have to book a ride or 2 with them

This was the most incredible service of trail rides and horse care I've ever experienced! Took my daughter for her 16th Bday and Jeszi was our trail guide. She is amazing and thoughtful and omg the scenery of our hour trail was epic just what me and my daughter wanted. A the care the owner and Jeszi takes of the horses how they are tamed and amazing to work with yet free to be a horse I have no words! We will be seeing them frequently now this will be the trail and horse people we chose to use!!! So happy with everything!!! Thank you so much

I went for the first time during the Pandemic and quarantine was very much sucking the life out of me!! I enjoyed the trail guides and the horses! My horse that day was named Jake “from state farm “ lol but seriously it was the best outdoor experience I had had in awhile!!!

Had the BEST time with our instructor Jeszi! Her and her horses and 11/10 amazing, sweet and great for beginners, if you haven’t ridin before! If you ever are in the area and wanna have some fun, again… 11/10 would recommend Jeszi n DM Outdoors. Best experience and ride! Trail was great and towards the end we let the horses drink and eat a lil bit of the grass and galloped our way back to drop the horses off. This was the HIGHLIGHT of our vacation! Thank you Jeszi for making out trip even more amazing!
P.S… Jake From Statefarm(last pic) loves brushing his head on you to itch his face, it is the most adorable thing!!💜

Going on a ride with DM outdoors is exactly what I needed. I never rode a horse before and I was going through a tough time in my life and they were so amazing with showing me how to ride. It was just me and a guide for 90 minutes. It was such an amazing experience. We rode through the water which was so cool.

Absolutely 💯 the best experience. 1st time riding and I couldn't stop smiling. Excellent teachers, fully instructed on riding. Great trail and perfect vibe. Perfect for family. Definitely a must do. 🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏

Loved it! You guys did a great job of accommodating first timers and a seasoned rider. Beautiful scenery, well behaved horses and great guide (thanks Derrick!) You can tell they are well versed with their horses and really care about them. I really enjoyed taking them out to splash around in the water too. Would love to try to squeeze in another trip, time permitting. I’d highly recommend DM Outdoors!

It was the BEST time I ever had riding!!! The guides tell you about each horse, their individual temperament, fit your comfort level to the horse then you’re off.
We were down from Michigan visiting our daughter and I wanted to go trail riding. Our daughter found this place and pointed out that you can go at your own pace…. Meaning walk, trot or canter. It was AMAZING!!! I have never been to a place that did that. Also, the horses are all rescues… they don’t have bits in their mouths or shoes on their hooves. They are treated like family. I nearly cried. Again, never been riding without a bit, how does a horse respond without one…? They do. They like their snacks on the trail, but a gentle pull and they continue. It was Heaven.
Please remember to tip your guides, they do amazing work both for you and the wonderful horses they work with!

Riding the trails was an amazing experience. As a new rider I learned quite a lot during the ride. The guide was very helpful and experienced. It was much more fun than We had expected.

It was my friends first time riding a horse. We were both very excited and had an amazing time! The trail was beautiful and the horses just followed one another. We also got to run on some parts of the trail and go through water. Will be back again!

My friend and I had an absolutely amazing time! Derrick, Rachel, and Joey were so friendly and fun, and the horses are beautiful and well behaved. This isn’t a boring nose to tail trail ride like you get at other places! The trails are beautiful and it was just so much fun. We will definitely be coming back to ride again!

Great place. Great tour Guides Great horses the staff was really helpful and they have all kinds of horses. The horses are all friendly and not violent at all. They are so beautiful and the trail is so beautiful. The horses already know the trail and they know what they’re doing, it’s perfect even for people that have never even seen a horse in person.

Best experience I’ve had horseback riding. Ron was an amazing trail guide and the horses were all very well trained. Definitely will be coming back again :)

This place deserves more than five stars! My family and I had such a blast when we came here to ride horses! Our rider instructors were super friendly. Riding the horses was so much fun, and it was absolutely beautiful. The price is amazing and totally worth it. The ride is a decent length of time. The horses are gorgeous and so friendly. Love it love it! We want to try the beach ride one day when we get more experience riding. If you love riding horses, you should totally check this place out. It's a wonderful experience. We love it and so do our kids!

Dm outdoors is by far the best trail ride I have ever been on! Jessi our guide was perfect, knowledgeable and patient. The horses are well loved and cared for, and my family loves the idea that the horses are all rescues. We can't wait for our next ride.
