Avis Car Rental

I have always rented from Avis. Never had a bad experience and always recieved a great car. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Avis at OAJ is an affordable place to rent a vehicle. I was pleased with the customer service team and their ability to answer my questions. The first car we received had bugs (roaches 😬) in it however when I called Avis back to voice my concerns they were able to switch me into a similar vehicle and the switch was super easy. Overall, my experience with Avis of OAJ was pleasant and I would definitely rent from them again.

Pickup in Jacksonville was fast and easy. Drop off in Myrtle Beach was super. Vehicle was clean and type we reserved

Avis had the best rental prices. It was extremely easy to rent a vehicle as well as modify the rental, if needed. They upgraded my rental for free. The only thing that could be improved upon, and this is nit-picking, is the in-person staff contact. While the employee at the pickup location was professional and courteous, they lacked a friendly demeanor.

Working with Avis was Simple. From start to finish everything was accurate!!!

I rent from this location regularly. I never have trouble picking up a car and the staff is always friendly. The only change I would recommend is to always have a face behind the counter during work hours. Sometimes I have to wait at the counter for a while before somebody shows up. Other than that I have not had a single issue. I recommend AVIS (I would say this location, however this is the only AVIS/Budget in Jacksonville) to anyone travelling. Make sure you read your contract and know what you're renting. Cars from airports often come with fees and taxes that push the price significantly higher than the quoted price.

I want to reiterate... Read the contract. Know what you're signing.

The car I reserved was not available so they upgraded me at no extra charge. The car was immaculate, fun to drive, got great gas mileage and the experience was excellent.

Here at Avis in Jacksonville NC and Josh is a wonderful customer service rep. His energy definitely helped to change my mood after a rocky flight. He was was extremely detailed and made me feel seen and heard after asking him tons of questions. Thank you brother for your excellent customer service.

Nathan was an extreme help. He did absolutely everything he could to get me into a car rental with the help of my dad. He exhausted all possible options and ended up getting me exactly what I needed. He was extremely calm and patient with the entire situation that took a whole lot of time. Definitely if I have to rent a car I’ll try to rent from him.

Though I think car rentals are ridiculously overpriced (especially at the airport), I had an uneventful expereince renting from Avis at this location. Chip was very friendly and helpful. I was in a bind - no reservation, difficulties getting on my return standby flight, needed to drive back home vs fly, etc. He was willing to accommodate me with renting prior to the opening time of 8am, which got me on the road back home early and with ease.Thanks Chip!

My experience at OAJ was excellent, the agent was friendly and knowledgeable. The car was dirty but that didn't bother me.

Oh My Gosh, if you are ever given the opportunity to rent a Prius, take it! 57 mpg! Avis did me GREAT!
