Our Mother passed away sudden and plans hadn't been made at that time. Benson funeral and creation funeral home, was so welcoming to our family and needs. They gave compassion and sympathy to our family and friends and gave guidance through our journey that it felt more comfortable with their support. Benny and Amy, I'm so glad I met you both, you both made it a little more comfortable for me in order to make arrangements. I had the Unpleasant misfortune of using Benson Funeral Services for the Third time on September 29th, 2023. My Mother passed away and Mr. Benson had done a wonderful job with my Aunt in 2011 and my Brother in 2017. This funeral home is a Godsend as they are so kindhearted and thoughtful. My mother was disabled for along time and when my brother passed she was not able to make the trip to the funeral home, I am not sure if this is a service Mr. Benson offers to everyone but he came to my Mothers home and let her sign for everything and took care of my brother for us. I can not say enough kind words about this man but I will tell you that God put him in the right business because he is so refined and so full of Grace and Empathy that he can make even the most devastating time in your life seem calm and relieve some of the pain. I would recommend this Funeral Service to any person that has the unfortunate Need for them. Thank you for taking such exceptional care of my Family. Benny granted me the honor of being a part of the Ronald Dean Self, of Belmont Baptist Church ` Veteran Memorial service. It was a pleasure to meet Benny, the Ron Self family, and to be present at such a beautiful Veteran Memorial Service. They took such good care of my dad and walked me through the process when I asked. They shipped him to Texas and we were able to bury him on time. Mr. Benson offered his services to a family I was with during the planning of a funeral when the elderly mom died suddenly. During an unexpected loss and without any pre-planning there was a lot of information to cover and decisions to make. He covered it all, answering many questions with great care and respect shown to the family. His price ( they chose cremation) was very fair He followed through on every detail. What an amazing service and staff. We lost our stepmother and held her memorial service at Benson. During every step of the process, the staff provided excellent customer support with kindness and grace.

The facilities are clean, bright, and comfortable. When we listed the obituary, the website was easy to use and provided different tabs for the service details, a tribute wall where friends could write messages, and an easy way to order flowers. The staff supported us in every detail of the memorial. There were several moments that we didn't make it easy for them - we had to alter the obituary several times, we decided to select our own songs after telling them we would leave it to their selection, and we even worked on the memorial video until the very last second before the service itself. Throughout it all, Ron and Amy made every change and waited on every alteration with kind words and reassurances.

Pastor Eric, associated with Benson, delivered a terrific and dynamic service. He sat down with us and inquired about our stepmother's personality. He respected that she was spiritual and non-denominational, and his speech conveyed hope and motivation while still giving us a chance to mourn.

Of course, anyone searching for this type of review is already going through difficult circumstances. No one can make those circumstances better, but Benson certainly made it easier to endure and get through. I would highly recommend them to anyone selecting a place to say their last goodbyes.

From the first phone call to the end of my sons memorial service I felt as they were part of family. I was allowed to talk about my son at length to the director during our first meeting. Ron was so compassionate and gave all answers to all of my many questions. They weren't rigid in any certain order at the service and things flowed so smoothly. We are all appointed a time to die. I highly and whole heartedly recommend Benson Funeral and cremation services in Mt holly. They offer a full range of services at a fair price. Since a funeral can be costly Benson is a quality professional service. I didnt feel at all like they were ever trying to sell me anything to make a dollar. Nothing at all about my experience felt like a business transaction. Which I cant say about a few other funeral homes I called in Gaston county. My sons death was not expected even though he was sick. It all just happened so fast. Ron and his colleagues at Benson made this very sad and difficult time in my life much less difficult as they could under circumstances. They went above and beyond for my mother's memorial service. They were so kind and caring. Ron and Benny and Amy were jist amazing at the hardest time in our lives.
