I highly recommend using First Step to get your CNA license. By the end of the 2 weeks Cindy has really prepared you to pass your state test, as long as you do your part by paying attention and doing your homework. Thank you Cindy!!

I can’t say enough good things about First Step Healthcare Training! Cindy is an incredibly knowledgeable teacher. She creates a calm and supportive learning environment to her students. I never felt so comfortable in a school setting! I loved coming to class everyday and being greeted by her sweet puppies. Beyond preparing you for the CNA test, Cindy teaches compassion and empathy for residents/patients. She will teach certain things from a resident’s perspective and that they all deserve respect and dignity. I learned so much from this class that I know will carry on into my career and future in the nursing field! If you’re on the fence about which CNA course to choose, you won’t go wrong with Cindy at First Step!

Cindy Armstrong is one of the most caring people I have met. During her class I felt like I wasn’t getting the hang of things and she took the time to help me understand. She showed all of us how much she cares not only for our safety but the safety of the residents with how passionate she is when it comes to being a cna. I personally learned so many new things that I will carry with me into the field and on my new journey. 10/10 definitely recommend coming here to take classes and learning! She’s amazing!

Cindy is an awesome teacher, and I'm so glad that I got to be in class. She made learning fun. I especially enjoyed the presence a few four legged family members, and a twerk or two.

This class was the BEST! Cindy is a great teacher. She does a fantastic job of preparing her students for the state exam and real life. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone interested in the healthcare field!

I enrolled in First Step Healthcare Training to obtain my CNA/HHA certifications. Having had no prior medical training, I was nervous about being able to retain all of the information, but the instructor, Cindy Armstrong, is great. She is extremely caring and patient, and breaks everything down step-by-step, allowing ample time to practice the skills being taught. That being said, it is an intensive course. There are lectures and homework so be prepared to study. However Cindy makes the course fun, and there is a lot of hands-on interaction. I loved the small class size (Max number of students is 12). I thoroughly enjoyed the course and feel it well-prepared me for my state exams. If you are looking to become CNA certified, I highly recommend First Step.

First Step Healthcare was the best. I took night classes because I work full time and had the best experience. Cindy was such a good and caring instructor… She helped with anything I had questions on and even brought her sweet fur babies for us to love on while learning.. My classmates were all so much fun to be around & it felt like home! I didn’t feel out of place whatsoever. (Which is also a really comforting feeling)

Mrs. Cindy is knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. She answered any questions that the class had and supported us throughout the course. I was a part of the 10 day CNA class with Cindy Armstrong and it was an amazing experience. It was very hands-on and the classroom was welcoming and uplifting. The environment made it easy to learn and absorb the information. We had opportunities to explore, ask questions and experience a facility through clinicals. The other students were inspiring and it was obvious that everyone wanted to succeed and see others succeed as well. Cindy set up for companies to come talk to us about other job opportunities and to tell us a bit more about the profession we have decided to enter. We were provided with texts book and workbooks that we went through together, coffee, water, hot chocolate and a safe place to learn. Cindy made it a point to give us as much knowledge and experience she could without it being overwhelming. At the end of the class we left prepared to take the state test, armed with first hand experience in a facility working with residents, business cards from those who wanted to work with us, and connections within the health care industry through our fellow peers and through Cindy Armstrong. I am forever thankful for the opportunities that were opened to me though this class and if you get the chance to learn from Mrs. Cindy take it.

**Mrs Cindy is literally the BEST, she is clear and direct but so fun and laid back , she creates a comfortable environment that allows you to answer all questions, she’s patient and takes the intentional time to really teach her students so that we fully understand and come out feeling confident! One of the best instructors I’ve had by far!!!!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Cindy. I took her ten-day class. It was very fast-paced, but simultaneously not overwhelming. She has an awesome way of making long days go by quickly. Cindy really knows her stuff. She cares about her students and makes sure they have the skills needed to pass the state exam, plus other valuable skills she has gained through her own experience. I looked around for a few weeks trying to decide where to take my CNA course and am so pleased God sent me to FirstStep Healthcare.
