The best place to eat in st Joseph! Sorry world, western Michigan is not the gastronomic capital of the world. I can start listing the ten reasons why, but that’s likely to cure a case of insomnia. For some respite to the cookie cutter restaurants and semi processed food breweries, the bistro has some fantastic food. Generous portions that are flavorful, they excel in seafood but you can’t go wrong. The tenderloin hash is world class and the staff are fantastic. The ambience is nostalgic for a time gone by.

Cozy restaurant in St Joseph. Highly recommended to dine here if you are in St Joe. We had Lamb lion and cod fish (special menu). Enjoy their wine selection to pair with my lamb lion.

Truly lovely restaurant with fantastic food! I can vouch for the halibut on the main menu for dinner, and several of the appetizers. Cocktails are pretty good, very wide selection. Really good atmosphere and good customer services ball. Great place to have a business dinner, date night, or simply an upscale meal when you're in the mood. I enjoyed it and highly recommend!

We had a WONDERFUL meal and overall experience here on 6/18/2023. Our server Courtney was super attentive, knowledgeable and just took great care of us. The appetizers we ordered were extremely generous portions and really delicious. Truly there was no need for an entrée, but we split the elk chops which were cooked to perfection and possibly the best elk I've had in ages. Sadly no room for dessert, but I bet it's great here. Highly recommend this place.

I was able to Enjoy the last nice weekend and sunset on St.Joseph in Michigan in The Boulevard Inn & Bistro. Hotels are priced through the weekend but you work hard to play harder 🤫😎 this review is about the restaurant on the main floor of this hotel! 10% discount for anyone how's stays for the night.
The patio is always a big plus for any restaurant or bar. Because the weather was fabulous we decided to stay outside and have dinner on the patio, drinks were ok my mojito was not that good but every place had a different receipt I got it, and as an appetizer we took scallops and the was delicious!! Bit too salty but very delicious, and as main try I try lamb burger - and that was my first time to try it and was ok / I think I prefer a regular beef burger 😅, menu is big and many things to try but this will happen next time!

The food here way exceeded my expectations. Good amount of vegetarian/vegan options too. Do yourself a favor and order the hot honey cauliflower! Good value for the price as well.

Valentines Day Delight! The atmosphere is just perfect, casual dress very upscale food and service. Cuyler our waiter was attentive but not over the top. He just seemed to appear when we had a question or needed something. Perfect service in my book. We had the hot honey cauliflower app, which is a meal by itself. Halibut and Elk chops cooked to perfection. If you're in town try the place you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Every dish was unique and delicious in its own right. The flank steak was probably the best I've ever had and I'm a steak freak. Then the scallop and shrimp pasta was to die for. The noodles, the sauce, and the perfectly seared scallops that literally melted in your mouth was on point. The flavor profiles were top knotch. And don't even get me started on the strawberry creme brule..... I will be returning. If you want to have a high end dining taste and feel for middle of the road pricing I highly suggest the Bistro. Also, maybe you'll get lucky to have Robert as your server. Super cool, laid back and was very professional.

We had a reservation for 7, but got done early and they were able to accommodate us. The service was outstanding, very quick on water service and for the server to greet us. We had the Hot Honey Cauliflower, it was a little on the sweet side, but still very well prepared. The butter with the bread basket was outstanding! Husband has sea bass. It was a little rich, but good. The veggie bowl was fresh and the steak frites our daughter loved. Would come again definitely.

I took my best friend to dinner here for his birthday last Saturday evening. I got the steak frites and my friend tried the veal. They knew it was a reservation for a birthday so they made him a dessert plate for free, they even had a card signed by all the staff. Our server Bob was a sweetheart. Food was great, service was even better. Thanks Bob and chef Cheryl you guys are awesome!

I had an amazing experience até the Bistro, excellent food, the place is beautiful, the staff was very kind.

Greg was a great bartender. Prompt, accurate, food was incredible, service was quick, I’ll stay and eat here again soon.

I’ve been here twice now and both times we had a flawless experience. There is a young guy who bartends & not only does he make delicious drinks but he is so personable, friendly, and enjoyable to interact with.

The food is incredible, especially the fog brûlée and the fritto misto plate. You can show up a bit before your reservation and enjoy a couple cocktails in the beautiful lobby or restaurant bar area before being seated for dinner. Overall a very enjoyable and fine-dining feeling experience for reasonable prices.

Great location near Lake Michigan (few min walk to the beach). Very good service. Ordered sea bass and sole and chocolate cake. They were very flavorful and tasty. I would highly recommend this place.

Good waiter service(kind,uplifting attitude,attentive to needs).Clean and pleasant surroundings. Food was very good and presentation was excellent. Will go again.

My favorite outdoor patio overlooking the beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets, in St Joseph! Stellar Food! Always done right. Reasonable drink prices. Appetizers, salads & sandwiches are generous shareable portions, making it a five-star economical choice! After years of feasting on the amazing chicken cobb salad , today I tried their new wedge salad. It was one of the most beautiful and delicious salads I have ever eaten! The house made Maple pork belly was to die for! Entrees are on the high end, but a perfect celebration or date place.

This is for us the best restaurant in town, with a refined cousine. The dishes are well presented, very tasty and made with good quality ingredients.
They also have a good selection of wines.

The Bistro is the best restaurant in Saint Joseph Period. If you are from out of town or a local it is a MUST stop. If you are a foodie like me, this is the place. To my knowledge, the breakfast staff is different from the dinner staff. My experience is based on the dining staff.

Chef Cheryl is a culinary wizard! She creates a new specials menu every month. Kyler is the in-house sommelier who can find the perfect pairing for any menu item. Anne is our favorite waitress who takes the time to make you feel special. I have had an extremely positive experience with all the staff from the front of the house to the back.

You can't go wrong with any fish dish, it will always be accompanied by an elegant sauce. There are typically 5 or so available from Monkfish to Sea Bass. Currently Antelope and Veal are on the specials menu and both are incredible. The Scallops, Frito meso, and fried cauliflower appetizers are a must! This is the place that deserves appetizer, entree, and dessert.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I guarantee one visit will lead to more.

Sat at bar for immediate seating. Bartenders were great. Personable and funny. The cocktails and beer were good. The bread appetizer was so good. Loved the tomato jam. Our burger and steak bites were some of the best we've ever had. Would definitely return if in the area to explore more of their menu. Beautiful view of the lake across the street. Easy parking.

Our appetizers, salad entrees, desserts and drinks were excellent. Unique flavors in every item. This bistro is now on our destination list.
