1933 House of Bourbon

After reading reviews, we decided to try this place out. We went early for dinner and were seated immediately and waited on quickly. The drinks were good. We ordered the calamari since the reviews were good. It was good and the sauce had a little kick to it. Would order it again! My husband ordered the filet and I ordered the Bourbon pork chops. The filet was cooked to perfection and the pork chop was so good even without using your choice of sauce. Our server was very good as well. We will be back for sure.

Visited friends in Edwardsville Illinois, suggested house of bourbon. Phenomenal experience, Terry the bartender took care of all our needs. Tried two different old fashions. A cutie old fashioned. Kinda sweet n smooth then a new fashioned more citrus flavor and potent. Tried the fried calamari. Great atmosphere, makes you feel like your just post prohibition lol. Next visit this will be my go to spot for sure. Great service and reasonable prices. You can go wrong there

As an Indian, I can attest that the Indian preps from the lunch menu are quite authentic. They have not Americanized the dishes, which is a relief as you can taste all the flavors and spices at the levels they should be.

Also the appetizers and wraps are great. The only thing I didn't appreciate much was my cocktail, the bartender had put in a bit too much alcohol. But other than that, everything was great.

Our server was very friendly and kept checking in on us and also made some recommendations which turned out to be great.

Will definitely visit again.

A wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. We booked a spot and when we checked in, we waited maybe 4 minutes and were seated. So fast! The decorations in the restaurant were gorgeous and elevated the experience. The food was decadent and delicious. The waiter kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled. We loved it and cannot wait to return.

Speed... Well, the food took a while, but when it came out, it was worth the wait.

Loved the lunch specials from the Spicy Affair menu. The lamb curry & garlic naan were terrific.

I wanted to take a minute to share my experience with House of Bourbon! I had such a great experience with this establishment. To start we were greeted at our table by probably one of the best waitresses I have ever had, and second the most mouth watering steak I have definitely ever had in my life. Beth was the name of our server and she went above and beyond to make our experience the best! If you ever decide to try House of Bourbon you will not regret it and please, please ask for Beth!

Delicious flavorful food with fresh ingredients.. wonderful ambiance with limited seating and great drinks. Roasted cauliflower, mussels, steak, filet mignon and shrimp pasta are one of the very best! Carrot and beets puree along with sprouts is such a refreshing twist to Salmon. A must try place for a solid family dinner or with a small group of friends. Owners of the restaurants are such good hosts who are willing to go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

The food was amazing! Our server, Colin, was impressive with his knowledge of the bourbon selection and made on point recommendations. We had a wonderful first experience and will definitely be back!!

A really nice restaurant, we went in for a early lighter meal, no steaks. This place did not disappoint apps very good coconut shrimp and the onion straws, a crab cake with apple slaw and the hob burger. All where very good, the apple slaw was fresh with crispy chunks of apple you could tell they put a lot of care into the slaw not just playing second fiddle to the crab cake, well done. So many times the sides are just fillers with little thought, not in this case. The drinks were very well executed, lemoncello, pear martini, margarita all tasty. The apple tart was one of the best desserts I've had this year or past couple years, it was 10 stars. Next time we go for dinner and get steaks, if there apps, drinks and desserts were done at this high level I expect the steaks will be very well executed. Bravo 1933 HOB well done.

I love everything about House of Bourbon. The owners know how to run a business and accommodate reservations easily and the wait staff is wonderful, especially Dane. The food is incredible and in a town with so many up-scale choices for food, they stand above the rest. Their filets are the best in town.

Best Caesar salad and steak in town. So nice to hear music instead of sports TV. Service was prompt and helpful. So glad we tried you! We'll be back. P.S. Chocolate lava cake was divine.

Stopped by for dinner without a reservation. Sat at the bar and was not disappointed! Great bartender served excellent drinks and great stories. The salmon was tender on the inside and crisp on the outside. It was the best salmon I've had in a long time! Also ordered the pork chop and it was presented beautifully on the plate. The homemade BBQ bourbon sauce that comes with it was the most delicious. We finished the evening with an espresso martini. 10 out of 10 would recommend 1933 House of Bourbon. It's Edwardsville's best kept secret.

Great service and the food was amazing! I had the fried calamari and the NY strip was cooked to perfection!

My wife and I had the strip/rack off lamb meal for 2-4 and loved it, even though we brought a lot of food home. Beautifully prepared and made to order. Great service as well - we will be back.

Very good all around. Only complaint is the food took a bit of time to be served, but we were in no hurry, and I expect they are short staffed like everyone else. Steaks were excellent, sides were excellent, drinks were excellent, and service was very good. Pricing is a bit steep, but the quality makes up for it. Parking is ample and accessible.

Excellent food from our wing appetizer, to our ribeye steak. The Mac N Cheese is to die for. The bourbon selection is amazing. The bourbon lockers is a really cool concept, I just wish I lived in town to purchase one.
