Christian New Creation Isaiah House

Christian New Creation is a great place. The people running this place here are great people. The things that happen here are real things. People actually helping people here, and that is a beautiful thing. These people care and they are really helping us transition back into society. Many blessings here, and I am thankful for the Isaiah House. God is good!

I have worked with the men at this organization for about 5 years. This is a great place for men coming out of TDJC prisons to recover from their prison experience, get on their feet for dealing with society, reunification with family and the many services provided here.

CNC is a faith-based, private, non-profit organization that is not associated with TDJC in governance or contract financial support. There is a great cross-section of support in the community from volunteers to benefactors. CNC has deep Roman Catholic roots, at the same time it serves a broad ecumenical clientele.

To qualify for residency, men must be Christian as this is a Christian community.

I highly recommend men coming out of the TDJC prisons to consider living at the CNC houses - Isiaha House and Providence House.

CNC has a 20-year history of providing services and is known in Texas and nationally for having very good success with one of the lowest recidivism rates anywhere.

New Creation and the people that work and provide the structure there are straight to the point about giving precious time/resources to teaching and insuring a New Life. You have to be honest with yourself and completely in tune with choosing that path. Both houses are great places to start off and the management will treat you like family from day one and far down the road after you've moved out and on.

It is a long and difficult road for these men to re-establish themselves in society. CNC is there to make their personal resurrection a reality. God is there.

Gave me a chane to re-build my life. This a faith based program designed to help men become productive citizens and succeed in life.

It was a place that did everything they could to help you get on your feet. All around good people. The amount of help they gave me goes beyond words

Let me start with the serious bed bug infestation. I have bites and sores all over my body and when I addressed Tony about it I was met with cussing and being told there are no bed bugs even though I was holding one in my hand showing the proof. Second, I took another job that was paying more than 7.25 an hour and because I left that job and immediately went to work at the other place they are kicking me out of the house. I am completely shocked at the way they "help" people here. Especially since I was paying 740 a month They tell you its 110 a week but in reality its 110 for rent 50 for groceries and 25 for transportation. and they even charge 20 dollars for a line fee for the donated sheets and pillow they said they gave me but actually sold me. They deacons that oversee this place from new life catholic also impose their own rules on th AA meetings held here which is against AA regulations. Overall it's been a rough experience Its doable but beware of bed bugs hidden feels and control issues by the people in charge. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Definitely not the way Jesus would have things ran if He were in charge although he should be in charge. Ease don't let people like this turn you away from God or sobriety.

I hate the fact that whenever my son visits from this place, I must have him leave his belongings outside and I'm nervous about him sitting on my furniture.
