Tuscany at Des Moines Creek

I took my Mom to brunch this morning and everything about our experience with Tuscany was excellent. I had a Belgian waffle and Mom had a Denver omelette, we also purchased cinnamon rolls and a cookie to go. Everything was fresh and served with a smile, & the restaurant was spacious and clean. I want to make a point of each of those things because previous reviews allude to a small dining room and not the best conditions. The dining room is quite large, comfortable, and quaint and clean, & everything was delicious!!

Tuscany is a real treat! A classic venue that is full of mid-century charm. The food is all solid, tasty Americana diner fare but with a lot of homemade baked goods. We came the day before St. Patrick's and they had fresh (still warm!) soda bread. Their regular assortment of breads includes grab-and-go loaves of walnut banana bread baked to perfection.

All-star service, good food, and baked goods to go? A real classic!

We dined here for Thanksgiving.
After some other plans fell through, and we had visiting family members who we'd just picked up from the airport, we were desperately short on options.
I called this restaurant in a Hail Mary move to see if they happened to be open and could accommodate us without reservations and to my shock and appreciation, they found the space! All the food was really good, it had a nicely homemade quality to it. The staff and service were pleasant and considerate, and I thought the options available to us relative to the price were very fair.
We'll definitely be coming back to try the regular menu some other time:)

This tuna melt was great and the fries are just downright awesome! Great hidden spot in Des Moines Marina area. Definitely recommend!

First of all the best pie that I have ever had. Homemade pie, everything is Homemade. We got the French Dips and fries. The fries were delicious. They did forget the dip but we made some when we got home. The owners are so nice. We will be back.

Stopped in for a sunday afternoon late lunch and it was just as wonderful and tasty as when I first discovered this place 20+ years ago. Delicious Fish n Chips!!

Every now and then I stop in. Consistency in food and friendliness is the key to their success. Thanks for making me feel like 'home' when I'm there.

A friend and I split a waffle and had coffee. It was a great place to sit and talk while taking our time.

Really great portions

I'd been driving by this place for many years but today I finally checked it out. Very nice! I ordered the coconut prawns and really enjoyed them. Also, the French fries were excellent for "diner fries," probably the best I've had in quite some time. Very fast service.

The charm of a small town diner is waiting here! Get the lentil soup, delicious!

This place was recommended to me because of their pies. Bought a chocolate and coconut cream. They did not disappoint! Of all the pie places I've been too, they are definitely in the top 3 of all time. I'm more of a cake person, but will regularly getting these pies for special events.

A gem in Des Moines Washington! This wonderful breakfast/lunch restaurant has a spacious dining room, beautiful decor, friendly service, and (most importantly) extremely delicious food! On this, our first, but not last visit, I had the Belgian waffle, my mom had an omelette, and we bought some baked goods to go. Their baked goods are made fresh and are wonderful! I highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner here.
Their Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo was amazing.

I left thinking about their pie selection.
So I went back inside and bought one of the Chocolate pies and I am so glad I did!

The double crust was a delicious surprise!
It is sweet, but not over the top.

This was hands down the best pie I have had.

We've been coming to this place for years!
Its just a down home, no frills place to eat, you dont have to dress up at all.
They were short staffed as it is with every business these days, but the wait staff managed to be as friendly as ever!
The only reason I didnt give them a 5 for food.......hash browns were bad, tastless, and mushy.

The food here is amazing. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome the second we walked through the door. Generous portions and the flavors were all amazing. They make the soup from scratch. I had the bean and ham. The flavors were on point. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. We bought a pie and a loaf of blueberry streusel bread to bring home. All of their pies looked amazing.
