Dentistry of Las Colinas: Byron L Mitchell DDS

I have been going to Dr, Byron Mitchell since he started his practice over 30 years ago. Dr. Mitchell and his staff are always friendly and professional. Even though I no longer live in Irving, the drive from Dallas is worth it knowing that I will get the best dental care from Dr. Mitchell and his staff. Monica has been my Hygienist for 17 years and I always look forward to my semi-annual visits with her.

I have worked in the medical field for over seven years, and I am a stickler about patient care, cost, and professionalism. Well, Dr. Mitchell and his entire staff are professional, proficient, caring, kind and just overall an A+++ Denistry! Dr. Mitchell is so humble that he actually answered the phone when my sister called to make an appointment. He isn’t too good to help out answering calls!!❤ My sister made an appointment and went last week and was so please and raved that I called and they got me in the next week! I was looking for a new dentist because my previous dentist was over priced and I did not think I was getting the best care for the cost. Here with Dr. Mitchell we are beyond pleased and would recommend him to anyone. We were so excited we thought about taking some of his cards and passing them out on the picket lines.😂 If you’re looking for a GREAT Denistry YOU need to come and see Dr. Byron Mitchell!!

Very happy with my visit. Dr. Mitchell and his hygienist were so nice. I came in feeling very worried and nervous that my teeth were in bad shape. Not only were Dr. Mitchell and his hygienist reassuring. They were calm and helpful and very gentle. Dr. Mitchell came up with a game plan that isn’t going to break my bank. I also didn’t end up needing near as much as I was previously told at another practice. And it is going to be almost a quarter of the price of the competitor. Can’t thank you all enough. You have gained a new patient for life!

After several visits to dentists with no positive results, I made an appointment with Dr. Mitchell. I wasn't disappointed. He resurrected my memories of visits to a dentist who actually care about their patients, more so than his own agenda.

Finally, a dentist who is extremely good at his profession and caring/mindful of his patients.

Although I'm sure he doesn't need new patients, I highly, highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.

Dr. Byron and team are highly professional. During our first visit we were warmly welcomed by Laurisa. She already had all our information ready for us. My husband had Shelby as his dental hygienist and I had Doris. They were wonderful and great. Shelby was very gentle when conducting the dental cleaning to my husband and Doris was very caring during my cleaning. Dr. Byron was highly engaging when sharing the results to both of us. This is the first time that we have had this amazing experience in which every single staff in the office was outstanding. No regrets and don't hesitate to visit. Wonderful people.

My first visit here and it was a pleasant experience. Everyone in the office is friendly. Very calming feel. Shelby was very nice and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Mitchel reviewed my teeth after my cleaning and was nice too. I highly recommend this dentist office. Thank you for great service!

I have been coming here for many years and not once had a bad experience. Dr Mitchell and staff are 10/10 in what they do and at a price I can afford without insurance. Previous bad experiences with other dentist have always made me fearful of getting even a cleaning done, and now I go to Dr Mitchell with calm nerves knowing everything will go smooth.
Even when drills get involved it’s painless and I don’t freak out.

This is the first dentist office where everyone was Awesome!! I was actually 5 minutes late and zMs. Shelby still called me to be seen!! She did my cleaning and did not hurt me…lol. I hope I get her again in 6 months. Doctor Mitchell addressed my concerns and he was very professional. The receptionist was great as well. I literally walked out at 10:02 am….Never had a faster dental appointment in my life!!!

This is the best dentist I have ever visited. His staff was very professional and his dentistry skill and technique along with his willingness to explain what he is doing is fantastic. Thank you Dr Mitchell for all your hard work. My teeth feel and look great.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Mitchell. Recently my son was in an auto accident and chipped a front tooth. It was a trying process dealing with the insurance, but Dr. Mitchell and his staff are THE BEST! They were very supportive of my son and what he was going through. I do not live near this office, but it is absolutely worth the drive to have Dr. Mitchell and his staff care for me and my family's dental needs...highly recommend without reservation. :)

My first visit was today and I was SUPER impressed. Everyone is so kind, has gentle hands and seem to really care about their patients. The office is super clean and has a warm, friendly vibe. My nerves of finding a new dentist immediately vanished when the sweet lady in the waiting room told me she drove from AUSTIN to continue seeing Dr. Mitchell. He really is worth seeing!

Dr Byron Mitchell has been my dentist for the past 3 years, and he is superb. I had a number of old fillings that were breaking down, and he showed me at my first visit--both with X-rays and with a mirror that I held while he used a dental pick to locate-- where future trouble would occur. I could actually SEE the vertical fractures that had started in my molars from decades of nighttime jaw clenching. (My previous dentist in 30 years never pointed either the jaw-clenching or the hairline fractures out to me.) His front desk has always been courteous, and his dental assistants are professional, skilled, observant, gentle, and take time to answer questions.
I was shocked to read some of the reviews posted here. It's so clear that some of them have to refer to a different Dr Mitchell. Out of a concern for simple justice, I believe posters should verify which Dr Mitchell they are reviewing, and readers should read ALL the comments.
I've had dental insurance for over 40 years, with no limitations on whom I can see, and Dr Byron Mitchell is outstanding.
My adult daughter does not have dental insurance and went to a number of Dallas dentists who were horrible, with most of them telling her she needs to have $1000's of dollars of work done. We had her X-rays taken to a Dental School (university) professor, who said she'd been told a pack of lies and that she needed no treatment. Then she went to Dr Mitchell, who told her the same thing. My daughter exclaimed after her 1st visit, "He's sooo good...he knows what he's doing; he's gentle; I've finally found a great dentist."
By the way, Dr Mitchell's manner is always professional, affable, serene, informative, and understanding.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Mitchell and I'm so glad that I found him and his practice. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. It was easy to get an appointment. All of my interactions with the doctor and the staff were professional and I felt comfortable with Dr. Mitchell's suggestions and recommendations.

The best!! Dr. Mitchell and his staff are so kind— and they made what would’ve normally been a very not fun experience so sweet and wonderful. After I knocked a front tooth out playing flag football, Dr. Mitchell spent so much time and care making it look perfect and new again- down to every detail! Truly the best. And the mouthguard I got at this office was a game changer for sleep and headaches. 10 out of 10

The best dental experience I've ever had. Everyone in the staff makes you feel comfortable, and the doctor goes above and beyond in every interaction. He will take the time to explain everything, and makes sure you're comfortable every step of the way. Love this dentist office!

I have been a patient of Dr Byron Mitchell for 17 years. I recently had veneers put in and they are amazing. They look so natural, people who know me can’t figure out if I’ve had a facelift or if I’ve lost weight, I love them. Dr. Mitchell is a perfectionist and treats me and my teeth as if they were his own and wants what’s best for me! Go see him!

The Dr. Mitchel I know and have been a patient of for the past 10 years is not the Dr. Mitchell these negative reviews are referring to. Anybody who has been his patient or known him understand the described treatment would be completely out of character for him or any of his staff, whom he chooses based on his own high standards and values. If you need an excellent dentist, Dentistry of Las Colinas will not disappoint.

This is the best and great place to go for any dental work. I have been looking for so long, then finally found this place for life. I had a general cleaning today, Very well assisted by the receptionist (Veronica), I appreciate Kelly the hygienist for the great job well done and Dr. Byron for the final check up.
