My husband and I were referred to Rene De La Cruz after a few issues with a previous realtor. Rene brought us in and has taken us in as one of his own. He is kind, very knowledgeable, available and never pushy and always willing to listen and respect our needs/wants in a home. He has led us in the right direction thus far- always wiling to take that extra step and keep us informed. We've been to the main office a few times and the staff is always accommodating and welcoming. We highly recommend Rene, I feel lucky to be able to work with someone so passionate about what he does.

I'm not sure where to start. First, if you're looking for a rental, I highly recommend choosing another management company. Read on to find out why. Background: I rented a house for 18 months; paid on time, never late, not a problem tenant, etc. Move out comes - we give notice as required in the lease, clean the home thoroughly, follow all their procedures. We had the lawn done and carpets cleaned. Spent two entire days cleaning the home because I needed as much of my deposit back as I could get. We lost our jobs during Covid and literally used all the money we had making sure we fulfilled our lease and on cleaning supplies and mulch. Shockingly, we did not receive our deposit (or any response) within 30 days (despite them renting the home quickly) and had to send a demand letter. When they responded, I was surprised to see that we did not even receive half of our nearly 2k deposit. We were charged for outrageous things such as painting the outside garage door, repairing some kind of cover for an outside utility in the yard, landscaping (which we had done?), carpet cleaning, a $395 cleaning fee, trash removal, among many other things. Flat out, this company acted in bad faith and unfortunately, it appears as if the only remedy is through the court system. As I said, please look elsewhere. I've lived in many different states and have dealt with many different companies but never have I encountered anything so shady and deceitful.

The property management portion of this company is absolutely horrible! I have been with them for 2 years. The first year was fine, I didn't have any maintenance issues, I would like to mention that I have paid rent on time, everytime. The only bad thing in the beginning, when I was showed the house it was gross, kicked trash as I was walking through the house, and when I moved in, it looked like someone cooked spaghetti, it boiled and splashed sauce over the entire kitchen, the floor wasn't mopped, etc. I did not mention that at all, I just cleaned it and was happy to move in. Well year 2, I renewed my lease, they did a walk though and decided to upgrade the bath tub. A maintenance team called and set it up for when I would be out of town, when I returned, my lights were left on, the water was left running, and they tracked dirt throughout my entire house. When I used the shower, one of the knobs shot off at me and had a steady stream of water shooting all the way to end of tub. They did not re-cock the tub, and they left a portion opened between the tub wall and the infrastructure of the house. They came three separate times to fix it, because each time the person who "fixed it" literally just placed the knob back and it shot off again. My water bill nearly tripled and with providing the property management the paper work showing the increase, nothing was done. Another instance, right before Hurricane Harvey, someone egged my car, and my back window was broken, as if someone tried to break in, being called out for National Guard, I went to the property management company and was told that it was my problem. Well, while waiting for income tax to pay for the window, they sent a repair man over with no notice and charged me $250 that I needed to pay within 2 weeks at Christmas time. When they send any type of Maintenance to do work, I would either receive the call 1 hour before they wanted to come or not at all and they would just show up. Keep in mind it states in the lease that if you aren't there for them, the property management company charges you $50. Just recently I experienced another issue with the tub that they "upgraded", it leaked water along the entire floor where the tub met the floor, and created a soft spot. Now, I am about to move out, I put in writing that I wanted a notice before they showed the house to anyone.... They just called me to let me know that in a couple of hours they would be showing the house. THAT IS NOT A NOTICE. The realtor I had was very nice and professional from this company but the property management company is the absolute worst company I have seen.

P.S. both my neighbors have had maintenance request in such as their front porch light, She has lived there two years as well and it still isn't fixed. I also had the other neighbor with a broken toilet, it took them 3 months to fix it.
