The strudel! Oh god, the strudel! Still not sure if I like the apple, cherry, or peach best. Awesome bakery. Friendly employees. A bit of a mess of a queue but well worth working your way to the counter.

This place is pretty great. Smells great, looks great, tastes great, and the service is borderline aggressive in wanting to get you in and get you fed.

Fresh baked everything and the shelves get clear. My pics are from around 10:30am so you can see that stuff sells fast.

Got the brat kolache, delicious.
Got the Bismarck - custard filled chocolate doughnuts for some of y'all. Delicious. Nice touch with the cinnamon.

Wife got a cupcake and a doughnut twist.

Also got a couple loads of bread. Expectations are high.

I would like to start by saying I'm pregnant and have been craving a cinnamon roll for a couple weeks now. I've gotten a few from different places but it wasn't quite satisfying that craving. But the large cinnamon roll I got from here this morning finally did. It was amazing. Exactly what I was wanting from a cinnamon roll. I ate the whole thing with my son. He also enjoyed it immensely.
Was too excited to get a picture of it, but I highly recommend. The savory kolaches were also very good

The choices were beyond belief! I wanted to purchase one of everything. I left with several varieties of cookies. Already planning on going back tomorrow for some donuts. I have to get the bacon covered maple donut.

I can't believe I waited 2 months to visit! We arrived late morning on a rainy weekday and missed the crowds. What wonderful smells. Tried the custard filled doughnuts and the cinnamon rolls both large and delicious. Employees were friendly and we will definitely be coming back.

We stopped here on last Saturday morning. They have a huge selection of pastries including pies, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, fresh baked breads, rolls, Kolaches and breakfast sandwiches. Excellent customer service despite them being really busy. Would certainly return again and would definitely recommend.

New Braunfels & San Antonio is home away from home. Naegelin’s has been a regular spot for my family since the 1950’s. I always get their Gingerbread Men! Go enjoy some pastries and Texas History! God bless 🍩🧁🥐

***MILITARY DISCOUNT*** From the outside it looks like your average bakery! Don't let looks deceive you! Go in, smell the smells, order tons because you will be disappointed in yourself if you don't. I visited mid-afternoon 3 days in a row and I missed out on several of their Specialties because they are that Popular with the locals and people visiting from out of town. The doughnut Breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. The oldest recipe was the bear claw. You will not be disappointed! They have a drive-thru if you just don't want to stand in line. I would recommend going in if it is your first time. Seating in the back alley and out front. Small table inside but people rolling in and out would make it not a very likable experience. Noticed that people placed orders ahead of time and came in through the back for a quick pick up! I will try that next time.

Nice bakery with the European pastry! I liked so much their selection, you can find here Turnover, Pretzel, Kolaches, Strudels and Eclairs. They have the homemade cookies as well. I recommend to try the Cherry Strudel, a lot of cherry filling with the whole cherries, it has the nice combination of the sourness and sweetness!

Amazingly friendly counter/customer service. I was taking snacks back home to my parents in Corpus Christi and it was very difficult to not eat all the cheese turnovers! Pies, kolaches, strudel and cinnamon roll were all excellent. Will definitely return.

The Kolaches here are the best I've ever had. I got almost to Buccees on I10 headed back to Houston when I realized I made a grave mistake. I should have bought several dozen to take with me. The Fudge brownies are next level, too. Those Kolaches, though. I'll make a point of stopping here anytime I'm close by.

A great German style bakery in the historic downtown area of New Braunfels. I went for the strudel but everything was great! The staff was helpful and friendly.

we always love to go to this bakery. From the moment you walk in and smell that delicious scent. All the fresh made donuts, cookies, and pastries and breads. We have never bought something there that was not delicious. And the staff are always very helpful and very pleasant.

As the oldest bakery in the state of Texas with the tastiest treats and amazing staff I feel my little 5☆ review is woefully inadequate. Everything is made fresh in house with love, that much is clear. The prices are very reasonable.
100% worth stopping in, I promise.

It's basically mandatory to stop at Naegelin's when we're in New Braunfels. Always fresh and delicious baked goods. The breads are awesome too. Get extra to share with friends, no one will be disappointed.

We’ve been coming here since the 70s. Everything we have tried has been tasty and we especially like the iced molasses bars and the gingerbread planks.

Very nice selection of delicious pastries and desserts. The pies were fresh and delicious. We tried a few items and were impressed with the presentation, freshness, and the delicious taste.

The waitstaff are friendly and helpful. They were able to talk about the offerings and give advice on matching to the occasion.

Overall great experience.
