La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham DFW Airport South / Irving

My stay at La Quinta South was overall a positive experience. Despite a rocky start with the hotel not answering our initial call at midnight, a subsequent attempt five minutes later connected us with a receptionist who provided clear instructions for the shuttle pickup. The shuttle arrived within 20 minutes, aligning with the expected wait time. The hotel services met my expectations, with clean rooms and amenities as advertised. Breakfast service began promptly at 6 am and was enjoyable, offering a good start to the day. The shuttle service back to the airport at 7 am was convenient and timely. Based on my experience, I would recommend La Quinta South for its reliable services and overall good experience.

You know when you book a last-minute thing and you're going to watch the granddaughter at a Cheer competition. I was sure that La Quinta was going to be a dog for the price. Well, I was wrong. This Hotel is nice and very clean. The rooms were big and very sanitary, the bathroom was extremely cared for. Your staff deserves a big round of applause 🙌.

Newer, very clean hotel next to Denny's, Shell gas station and across the street from Walmart. Room and hotel were exceptionally clean, but the bed was a little hard. They have a continental breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, cereal, bagels, muffins and make you own waffles which was basic, but very nice. The hotel is only 15 minutes from AT&T Stadium and Six Flags. The hotel is a great, not too expensive option with an outdoor pool, heated jacuzzi and mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Also located in a safe area.

I need to start this review by saying that I got stuck for 2 days in Dallas because my flight was cancelled due to bad weather. I was tired, since I'd only gotten 3 or 4 hours of sleep due bouncing around at the airport, cold and very frustrated.

The rooms are standard hotel fare, nothing special. They were clean, and for the price had good amenities. I was only here for one night, but it would be excellent for a longer stay, and the proximity to DFW made it easily accessible.

The service is outstanding, they sent their shuttle to pick me up at the airport, and there was a room ready when I arrived, so they kindly checked me in early. This allowed me to drop my stuff so I didn't have to haul it across the parking lot to the restaurant next door, and after lunch a quick shower and I was able to get some sleep. If I ever need a hotel here again, I know where I'm staying.

Airport hotels are high traffic/turnover. It's not easy to keep them looking good. But this place was great.
Staff members are courteous. In fact, they are even talkative and sincerely friendly.
The room was in great shape. The shower/tub is sort of old school. Probably due for a an update. But it was spotless, as was the room.
Only slight gripe is with breakfast. Cold Continental. I don't understand this. Covid is not currently a thing. It's about time to break out the bacon and eggs, don't ya think?
But that's a not a biggie. This is a great hotel and the price was very reasonable.

I enjoyed the accommodations. Clean room and comfortable bed. Limited healthy choices for comp breakfast, yet they did provide fresh fruit. Will stay again!

Good budget hotel near the airport . Decent rooms and a good continental breakfast . Light on pocket as well . Would recommend to everyone who is visiting Dallas for a day or two

Stayed here during a layover in Dallas and Al Gaston at the front desk took care of us. He was SUPER attentive, kind and always one step ahead. He has made us feel comfortable from the first minute and we feel so lucky to have been able to experience the stay with him.

Room was fantastic, breakfast was what you'd expect, and the staff was overworked and trying their best.

Plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance. The staff were very accommodating and have an exceptional level of local knowledge.

Excellent value for the cost. Perfect for an overnight stay between flights. Convenient shuttle service 8 minutes away from terminal. Basic breakfast which will get you going.
Large clean rooms as well as bathroom. Catonia the night manager was very courteous.

Shout out to Kandee who was able to get us in after the Dallas airport sent us to a hotel with no rooms left! Super quick and straight to the point, helped us with transportation options for the early morning, got us to bed fast. Couldn't have asked for her to do anything more. Top tier service! Hopefully next time I'm in the area it will be under better circumstances because I'd love to come back and enjoy more of their hospitality!! Thanks again Kandee!!

Clean and friendly staff just wish it had more items for breakfast but I would definitely recommend this place

We really enjoyed our stay. It was clean and quiet. Beds were comfy. I was thankful to see coffee available at 5:30a because I am an eary riser. Breakfast was at 8a - waffles, toast, bagels, boiled eggs, cereal and juice. The front desk person, Aaron, is really good at his job. Give him a raise.

We stopped in Dallas for two days on our way to Guatemala. June21-22 . We stopped on our return for one night on28 June. Good breakfast. Thanks to Al for arranging the airport shuttle and other services.We highly recommend this La Quinta. Will stay here next trip we take thru DFW with great airport shuttle service.

Very nice, newer, moderate size hotel. I enjoyed a pleasant five night stay here while on business, attending a week of work related training. At the time of my visit, the hotel was brand new. Compared to other La Quinta hotel locations I have visited, this location is superior! This hotel has an excellent location in Irving with lots of shopping and dining options available. There is a very good Denny's next door, which I frequented often during my stay. The hotel is also just minutes away from DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. The hotel's lobby, common areas and guestrooms were immaculate. My guestroom was average size, but very comfortable and quiet. My stay was at the very onset of Covid, and the complimentary breakfast was greatly reduced for obvious reasons. In addition, I'm not much of a breakfast person and rarely visit the breakfast dining area, so I unfortunately can't provide information about the hotel's breakfast. The hotel staff associates were wonderful! Extremely friendly and very patient, especially since there was a large group of my colleagues staying at the hotel.
