Absolutely awesome park that my 6 year old loved! There's a playground for younger / smaller kids, and a larger + higher playground for 2 up.

Really fun and well thought out. Climbing wall, swings, tons of picnic benches, open field and awesome play structures. The bathrooms were heated to boot! 10/10!

A lot to discover in this state park. There are two trails to reach the beach by the lake. One is steep but shorter, the other is more comfortable to walk down.
Parking lots are just nearby the kids playground if you need to navigate on map. Discovery pass needed for parking.

St Edward State Park is fantastic! Inside are a total of 14 trails to explore that vary in length, so you can choose the adventure that best suits your needs. Signage is also very clear, and a key on multiple maps around the park indicated if a trail is east, more difficult, or most difficult. We decided to take the Seminary Trail down to the beach on a cold fall day, and it was beautiful out on lake Washington! Because the weather was cold we also didn’t see many people, which is a plus for me!
NOTE:
- Parking at the state park requires a Discover Pass

Great park! Not many people early on a Sunday. Watch out for trail conditions in the shade since its still slippery in some places.

I came here as a kid and didn't remember it until we brought our kids. This place is one of a kind. The most elaborate wood play structure in Washington with some of the most beautiful short-trip hiking trails right there. This place is a gem of the greater Seattle area.

This hotel is blanketed in fine touches, with every element working to convey comfort, luxury, and a coherent vision of respect for the history while still providing a high end experience.

The renovation work inside, such as quiet hallways, beautifully restored doors, and comfortable furnishings are appropriate to the venue and excellently chosen.

Love this park. It has multiple picnic spots and a huge kids playground.
There are multiple beach access trails as well which takes you to water.
The beach access trails have restroom at the end as well but only honey bucket style ! So be prepared if you don't wanna use that.

Can get a bit busy on sunny days. Free parking if you have discover pass. If you don't have one you can get a day pass for $10 or annual pass for $30. The annual pass is easily worth the money which gives access to not only this park but few others in pnw.

The beautiful old building in the state park is the lodge of Saint Edward, it was a seminary which was built in 1930. The long hallway has many painting, sculptures and artwork, it is a good area to watch sunset too. It is a great quiet place to take some fancy family photos. We will come back to try the happy hour drinks and access the lake in walking distance. You need to buy $10 one time or $30 annual pass to access the state parks.

Beautiful and tranquil park located in Kenmore with excellent hiking trails and views of Lake Washington. There is a historical seminary converted into a hotel named “The Lodge” that has a restaurant, bar, and quality art pieces displayed like a museum gallery. So much grassy areas and plenty of picnic tables all over the property. Just a wonderful park to visit with friends and family. Discover pass is required for parking otherwise you will have to pay $10 for a one day use pass. There are some free days throughout the year(see photo).

This hike can be a bit of a beginners trap, so be warned. It's a hike down about 350+ ft of elevation through beautiful old woods to Washington Lake.

Best time to do it is in the morning after a good rain as there will be tons of mushrooms all over the place!

This review focuses on trail experience, which was a pure delight. When driving into the park, stay right and park near trail head. Discover Pass or paid parking. Follow the trail that winds down and around towards the lake. Charming winding trail is narrow in places above a ravine. Twisty trees, tree root stair cases. Trail leads to a few little spots to access the water. With several trails in the park there are multiple directions one can choose. Trails are dog (on leash) friendly, not wheel friendly. If you follow trails towards water, most likely you’ll be hiking back up the hill to the lodge/parking lot. Beautiful scenery. Near the lodge is a large playground that keeps kids busy for a while. Lots of castle themed climbing. If you’ve ever been to Woodlands Park (aka Castle Park) in Kirkland, you’ll see that this playground is similar and is a bigger version of the Castle Park.

The kids had a great time! All ages playground, for sure! So fun for hide and seek for the older ones as it’s a “castle type structure”. Smaller area (but not small) for the younger ones that my kiddos enjoyed. We didn’t even explore any other part of the park. Clean bathrooms.

This park has so many different areas. It has a children's play area, beach access, and tons of trails through the trees. Some are more challenging than others. Beautiful historic Grotto hidden in the trees perfect for a wedding. Large fields for group picnic or event. Very busy parking, best to come early on a sunny day.

Lovely park tucked away in Kirkland. Met a friend here for a visit on a Friday evening and it was not too busy or crowded. Trails are well maintained and there's lots of ways to take a very short or longer walk. The Beach Trail is currently closed, as well as access to the water due to Salmon Restoration and Construction.

We often go hiking to this park. It offers a great outdoor experience. My kiddo enjoyed going on short hikes with his friend to this park. It is also great picnic spot for families or group of friends during the summer.
This park offers tranquil hiking trails. If you want to walk up to the park then there is a short trail that starts from Arrowhead Elementary which will lead you to the park.
It also has huge play structure where children can play and have fun. The trails leads to the lake where you can hangout and deep your feet. There are restrooms near the children's playground. It requires a discover pass for parking. It also offers The Lodge hotel and restaurant for visitors for extended stay or a bite to eat.

Best park for kiddos. With clean restrooms and lots of picnic tables.
Parking is just a little issue but overall it’s good.

This is one of my favorite parks around Kirkland/Kenmore area. The trailhead is next to the lodge with plenty of parking(bring your discovery pass). The north trail loop is my general go to trail that is good for quick run or relaxing walk with only small and gradual gradient on the way back from the St.Edward beach point.

Fantastic place for hiking with kiddos... We did go on 2+ mile trail... It was kind of circular pattern. One way down to beach was bit elevation and stressed with younger kids. Back to parking from beach via stroller was easy with kids. Kids enjoyed sitting on logs, climbing trees and playing in water. There is a huge ground for soccer or playing cricket. Kids will enjoy playing in park near by car parking. You may sit and enjoy your lunch on table. Discover card is required if not pay by cash 10$. There is a beautiful lodge. Check out my pics.

The playground for kids is epic, towers and bridges for days. Tire swings, tunnels, aka "Castle park". Don't go for the beach though, that's massively underwhelming. Bring your Discover pass for parking. Worth the investment if you live nearby.

Nicely maintained trails. Dog friendly with plenty of trash cans. Some trails are closed to mountain bikers & have swimming access. Bathrooms by the lake and at the parking area. Benches throughout the trails. Some of the trails are pretty steep elevation gain & some are slippery with mud + bridges
