Skin Care Center of Southern IL - Mt Vernon

I've been in several times over the last year for skin cancer treatments. The whole staff is amazing! I always feel comfortable and like I'm getting the best treatment possible. I never have to wait long and everyone is very friendly. So glad I chose this facility!

I'm generally very happy with the experience. Dr Gowan, Abby, Kylie, Lauren, are very good and pleasant to work with. So no problem with your personnel.

I do however find it very difficult to communicate via phone. The exception would be Dr gowan's staff they're very good about returning calls however billing issues and so forth not so much.

I loved Natalie, and I’ve been very pleased with Amy since Natalie went to the Centralia office. Unlike most, I understand medicine is a practice, not an exact science. What works for some or even most doesn’t work for everyone because every human body is different. I am thankful for providers who know this too. I don’t feel like a test subject or a number at this office.

The staff was friendly, organized and very efficient. Amy Stevens has a great bedside manner. She is thorough, professional and reassuring. I highly recommend Skin Care Center for any dermatologic needs.

I walked in as a new patient was met by the super friendly staff. They answered all my questions and were able to get me an appointment the same day. It’s one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve had in years. Fast, efficient, and goal accomplished.

Amy Stevens is very thorough and listens to your problems and concerns. Her nurse is very friendly and thorough as well. Would highly recommend Amy Stevens and staff.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The kiosk was easy to use. I got right in quickly and the nurse and doctor addressed my issue right away and helped me with the stronger prescription steroid cream for my skin condition. They even wish me a merry Christmas. excellent experience

Our son was seen by Dr. Amy and she was amazing. What a kind person! Not to mention, we didn’t have to wait forever. We were in and out in 20 minutes tops. Everyone was so polite from the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor. It was a great experience.

We have never had a bad visit with Dr. Gowen. He and his team are caring and efficient. We had Braden assisting Dr. Gowen today. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We were seen before our schedule appointment time.

Wonderful experience ! Nurse and Dr. Gowen were great with my son. My son is awesome - but they explained the wart removal procedure and executed it spot on. Dr Gowen numbed my son’s finger , removed the wart , and cauterized the area without a single tear from my son! Highly recommend the skilled and compassionate staff. They took time with my son - never felt rushed - talked with him and answered his questions.

Kylee was wonderful getting me prepped for my procedure and explaining things afterward. Dr Gowen was so kind and explained everything well. My husband (a former arm) was impressed by his skill.

Amy was awesome !! She answered my questions fixed my problem and explained what I needed to do in the future . The nurse was professional and kind sorry I don't remember her name . I would highly recommend Amy Steven.

Presently surprised after my first encounter and exam. It was easy to register and make an appointment online. The Office is nice and welcoming and the ladies upfront were really friendly. I was quickly roomed and seen. Great first experience!

Everyone is so nice and respectful . The dr never makes me feel rushed or that my concerns are nothing. He always takes time to explain things until I can understand them, plus the notes that are taken about my care are another added thing. There is never any questions about what is being addressed or watched. Therefore I would highly recommend them of you are looking for a skin care center .

It was so easy to get an appointment which is rare these days. Dr. Cowen and his staff was great and took excellent care of me. They explained the procedure and was thorough and painless. I will be a patient from now on.

My annual follow up appt went smoothly, staff were courteous and thorough in completing the examination.

You always wonder how things are going to go when you walk into an office for the first time. From the receptionist at the front desk I was greeted with with a smile and a few nice words. 😊. I was taken back by my doctors surgery nurse who took her time and explained the procedure that would be used. When the doctor greeted me he had a way of making you feel at ease. He also explained what they were going to do. I think these two make a great team. I am going to be in good hands.

Always love my visits with dr Nahauss. He’s a wonderful dr and the staff is amazing .

I was seen promptly on time and initially met by a friendly caring assistant. The doctor, Dr. Gowen, was thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. It was an 11 out of 10. Highly recommend !
