DuPage County Courthouse

As one parks in the free structure and needs to use the elevator there is just one out of three functional and not a notice to inform !
There is no entry in the building with an electronic device or any sharps. A safe box is available at the entry of the parking structure closest to entrance.
After you pass checkpoint court is straight on left and you need to sign in at the kiosk.Wait on wooden bench of too early.
I was shocked to read names of cited people roll on the screen up the wall - it feels like a violation ! Most names were of emigrants and I felt very moved by this experience…Court employees were exemplary in manners and overall experience was ok but pricy. A petty ticket was $197.There is an ATM to pay cash your lawyer.The clerk lady is your most resourceful person to contact before the day.Room under lady judge and lady prosecutor was run smoothly and fair.

I appeared at the DuPage county courthouse for traffic court. When I was arrested I was even asked if I had “gangbanger” tattoos. Racially profiling is a real thing so I was not surprised by the number of black and brown people in the courtroom waiting to see the judge. Police stop and arrest black and brown people twice as often for traffic violations. Specifically, poor black and brown people. The only reason I am sharing this information is because I was stopped again after my 3 month probation. It wasn’t for speeding but for an expired tag. I can’t catch a break out here. Other than my quick observation that day, I would also like to thank the judge. They were somewhat understanding and compassionate towards my situation so I am grateful and appreciative for that.

I've honestly been impressed by most of the judges I've ever had here but my latest judge Flemming.. is an amazing person.. and if you have a case before him then show some respect and respect will be given.. and if he's looking for advancement in the judge world then I highly recommend Michael Flemming..

A lot of knowledgeable people including the officers if you have some questions they'll be able to assist you and point out to where you have to go what room Etc

Minus my situation, I feel the "greeter" or "secretary" (I'm sorry, do not know her title) first face on the first floor admin processing offices, is an absolute gem. The few times I've visited the office, her demeanor/presence/aura is absolutely intoxicating. No matter how upset or stressed I've been, she always managed to turn my frown upside down. Clerks over the phone haven't been exactly polite or helpful, however, in person, the ones I've met, have been super sweet and polite. I've also utilized the Safe Heaven care, and the ladies there are excellent. My daughter looked really happy after I picked her up. The ladies even gave us a Christmas book to read together. Great people all around. Thanks.

As far as visits to a courthouse go, this was a fairly pleasant experience. The place is clean, the buildings are pretty easy to navigate (tere are people posted all over in case you DO need help) and the staff are helpful and courteous.

Maybe my favorite courthouse in Illinois. Wifi - yup! Private Conference rooms - yup! Resources room for private attorneys - yup! Everything necessary to get clients amazing results in one courthouse. I've handled everything from petty traffic cases to serious felonies, and this courthouse continues to return to the top of the list. The only downside is that clients cannot bring their phones inside.

I came here for traffic court in the early AM. Everyone, the judge, all of the officers I encountered, lawyers/public defenders, literally EVERYONE that I encountered was absolutely nice and helpful (I had to talk to a lot of people). Please keep in mind, however, that I was as polite and respectful as possible, and was treated with an equal amount of respect and kindness. Remember that we are all human, and each person deserves respect and love, regardless of individual and presumptuous opinions based upon a career-title. I can honestly say that this was the most smooth and relaxing experience I have ever had under the circumstances. I would like to thank everyone working at this courthouse for maintaining such a positive and upbeat attitude. It really was a breath of fresh air. 🤙

We had a pre-trial meeting with a Judge and the lawyers. We were impressed with the professionalism of the Judge. The Judge was courteous and polite.

The court house itself was well organized. There are plenty of signs stating what can not be brought into the building. There were even lockers for contraband like cell phones.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. My experience coming over to court overall the judges have been fair towards me.

As a DuPage County divorce lawyer, I think the circuit clerk staff is extremely helpful. They quickly answer questions and make moving a case forward as easy as possible.
