Juanita Bay is fantastic! The doctors perform thorough exams and give detailed answers to our various questions. The technicians are always incredibly warm and friendly toward our puppy, putting her right at ease even during vaccinations. We always have an easy time scheduling appointments and addressing any concerns over phone. We recently brought in our foster puppy as well and they were very sensitive and caring toward him, which was soothing for his nerves. Highly recommend!

Wonderful vet practice. We've been coming here for years. I always trust that they will make sound recommendations for our pets. They're friendly, quick and prices are appropriate for this level of quality.

Experienced, thoughtful, and patient. Dr. Smith is amazing. I have two rescue Terriers with anxiety, appointments can be a challenge, but the staff and Dr are always kind and welcoming. We consistently leave our appointments feeling well informed and taken care of.

We take all four of our pets here—two cats and two dogs. All of the doctors are terrific—caring, knowledgeable and kind. The office and other staff members are wonderful as well—efficient and kind. Highly recommend Juanita Bay Veterinary! It’s a relief to know our pets are always safe there—wouldn’t think of taking them anywhere else.

Really great clinic! My dog can be nervous for vet visits, but Dr. Ellingsen is always very patient with him and all the other staff we encounter are always very friendly! I also appreciate their transparency and not pushing vaccines or services on us that may not be totally necessary or might cause my dog unnecessary stress. Thank you Juanita Bay!

Even when my elder cat was approaching end of life they were gentle and thoughtful. Not just with my cat, but also with me. That has always been appreciated.

I am also grateful for all the care and support they have given to my current chonky cat and special needs dog.

My only negative is the cost, but I do have a special needs dog so take that with a grain of salt.

I love Juanita Bay Vet Hospital for my 2 golden fur babies. I always feel that they give me everything they have for my pet's well-being. I can come in with 100 questions and they answer all of them--and then some, and leave me feeling safe that we exhausted every option for the betterment of my sweet fur baby. Having a puppy during pre-vaccine covid was not a low-stress situation...and they made it feel safe and still enjoy the puppy stage.

In 2018-19 My golden lab mix had 2 TPLO surgeries (7-mo apart) with the recommendations of Dr. Johnson. We took her to the Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center (Dr. Thoesen is also fantasticX10), and after lots of water therapy, was back to normal in no time!

Soo if you can get in, establish care here. Annnd if Dr. Johnson ever leaves...we will follow. lol

These folks are so nice and really made my kitty boy feel comfortable 💕 thank you for your kindness and taking the time to really dig into my cats case.

He really appreciated the churu treats and kept asking me for more throughout the day 😄

We had our end of life appointment for what I was told was one of the oldest dogs they had ever had in their hospital. They were all really friendly and so gentle and delicate with our pup. I love the care they took with our family member.

While it feels weird to review for a moment like this, I feel the need to convey how fantastic this place is and how great they are here.

Awesome experience yet again, the staff and doctors are super friendly, and it's a very nice and tidy clinic. My furrballs have no issue with visits, and are treated very well :D

We were previously with Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital when living in Kirkland but had moved to West Seattle a few years ago. We had changed vets to a vet that was close by. After these few years of OK service in West Seattle, we were clearly spoiled the the wonderful service that Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital had provided us and our recent experiences did not meet the high bar that was previously set by Juanita Bay. We decided to drive the extra 40 minutes to Juanita Bay for the great care they provided our pets rather than the veterinary service that’s only five minutes away.
Our first appointment back to Juanita Bay did not disappoint. The staff and Dr. Smith was great from the time we called to make our appointment through the actual appointment for one of our pups and follow up communication. Our pup is a handful to treat and the patience, calmness and care that the staff provided was highly appreciated. Dr. Smith asked a lot of questions to get to know our pup and explained everything that she was doing, it was grace under pressure with our difficult pup.
It’s very comforting to us to know that there is a place for our pets to go to that we can trust and supports our needs.

Our cats and dog are our boys, and like to think that we provide only the best for them. The vet selection is no exception. Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital is not only professional, but they really listen to what's going on with your pets and try and provide a solution, rather than say, "We'll see what we can do.". I highly recommend Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a trusting vet. We wouldn't take our boys anywhere else 😌.

Can’t say enough positive things about Juanita Bay. The team is always available for any questions and concerns you may have, it’s very easy to schedule appointments, and they have taken awesome care of our dog that has been through two procedures here. Highly recommend!
