La Dolce Vita of Lemont

This past Saturday 10/28 I had a surprise 80th birthday party for my father. Although I had never previously dined at La Dolce Vita, several people I know, highly recommended it for so many reasons…(delicious food, great ambiance and they had a banquet room for parties). So, I decided that based on all the recommendations I received, it was enough for me to reserve my dad’s party there. I am happy to write this review for anyone who is looking to host a party for whatever the occasion may be, as my entire experience from the day I booked the party to the day of the event was exceptional. Margie & Kasia were wonderful in assisting in my menu selection, final count was due a few days beforehand and when needing to add people last minute, there was never an issue. In addition, and worth mentioning, they allowed us to come in the night prior (as they did not have the banquet room booked for an event that Friday evening) to decorate and set everything up…alleviating the stress of having to do everything the day of the party. The food was OUTSTANDING, and everyone was raving the entire event. The servers and the bartender were so kind and delightful and so helpful during the entire party, from packing up some of the leftover food, to cutting up and serving the birthday cake, etc. They really did assist in helping make sure that the event ran smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect event and the best part…my dad was surprised and so, so happy! Thank you La Dolce Vita, I will definitely be seeing you all again! :)

This restaurant has a very good selection of some of the best Italian dishes, seafood and steaks.
They also have a very extensive wine selection.
If you're a beer connoisseur your'e out of luck, their beer menu is not good at all.
The building is old, but is nicely decorated and they made it wheel chair accessible by installing a ramp at the front entrance and an elevator to access the bathrooms on the 2nd floor.
The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable with their menu.
They also kept our water glasses full and our table clean.
It's also a great place to dine in during the Lemont Sunset Soiree Summer Concert events, since they are so close to where they set up the stage.

I've heard about this restaurant for years! We've finally got to dine here.
We made a reservation at 5pm. We asked for outdoor dining. It was a small area, tables were closer than I prefer. I only saw the dark bar area, so I couldn't tell you about the dining room.
The staff was friendly and helpful in telling us about the menu. Great wine list! We liked your entrée included a salad. Also fresh Italian bread beforehand. Entrée portions were perfect. Appetizer of calamari was delicious! I ordered the linguini with calms in red sauce. It was good, but there was a off taste to it. Couldn't figure out what was different in the ingredients. We will definitely return!

I took a friend out for her birthday tonight. Everything was first class. Bread/salad/pasta/drinks & dessert.

Most excellent! My wife chided me because I forgot to make a reservation, but fortunately, we were able to get a spot at the bar. It was the perfect place for dinner to cap of a day of golf at Cog Hill. My wife was carb loading and running in the Chicago marathon the next day, and it's hard to be an Italian joint for such an occasion. I thoroughly enjoyed my veal marsala, but my wife got the Penne Con Ricotta and Spinach (after seeing the lady next to her order it) and it was the awesome. Gotta say Penne Con Ricotta and Spinach > Veal Marsala and that's not a knock on the veal marsala. Also, for what it's worth, the place was slammed and the bartended was absolutely busting her tail. In a time where customer service has taken a dip all around, I certainly appreciated how hard she was working. A+ service and food!

Oh and bonus points for having the UNC football game on at the bar! :)

A good way to test Italian restaurants is to order the the same dish at all of them. My test plate is chicken parmigiana. La Dolce Vita does a great job on this dish. Theirs goes very light on breading, which is refreshing compared to many other Italian restaurants. I think this is has to be my favorite way I've had it prepared. 5 stars, I've never had a bad experience or inaccurate order here.

Awesome hidden gem in downtown Lemont. Been here many times. Every other Wednesday is the Pork Chop Milanese special, which I highly recommend. The wedge salad, and the stuffed pepper are delicious. Reservations are recommended.

One of the best Italian meals I had in a long time. Lively place on Friday night. Wish I took a picture of the food, only took pics of cocktails! Try the special ravioli stuffed with sausage.

over 10 years.
I happy to report that the food and and service have remained excellent.
Reasonable prices with large portions

Great service and food and such a nice downtown with plenty of places to have a drink before dinner.

This was are 2nd time here for a birthday celebration and the food was awesome. Only draw back is they have a hard time splitting the checks up.but other than that Great place. Downtown Lemont you rock.

The food is always excellent and the atmosphere is fun. Sort of like fine dinning combined with a casual outing with your friends. The staff is professional and service is great.

What a great restaurant in a beautiful little town. We have been here several times with friends and on date nights. Always busy but not crazy. The staff is great, they treat you like family. The food is always delicious and in large portions. Check out the special board they have some great options. We stopped in tonight since we were in the area, got a spot at the bar and had dinner right there. Probably our favorite spot, right in the action and talking with the folks next to you. Everyone is having a good time. I can't recommend La Dolce enough!

This hidden gem has been a favorite for a long time. Small old school Italian dining. Antique bar adds to the decor. Always hard choosing which dish to order.

I really enjoyed my dining experience here! The restaurant had a dim, cozy ambience, and the service was excellent. I ordered the linguine with clams, and it was amazing. It was a nice, big serving with individual clams and large chunks of clam throughout - just how I like it! It was delicious and flavorful. They provided a huge salad and bread for the table, which also came in nice, big servings. I’m excited for our next visit!
