Nice place to fish.

Beautiful park..unfortunately too many people ruined it so now it's almost always closed

This park is a jewel, beautiful lake, great fishing, clean and great place to ride bicycles or just relax. There's a beautiful view of the St Louis skyline, from this park.

Great experience here and the fishing 🎣 here is also great with a golf course and play ground with picnic tables

Very peaceful!! Perfect for a date or fishing with the kids. The downside of the park. The bathrooms were closed, and it was definitely an inconvenience.

Things have gotten a lot better since I was last there. Haven't seen any used condoms on the parking lot. The Park staff most be making their rounds. VERY GOOD. Looks cleaner then before.

Frank Holten State Park is a glorious, expansive park nestled on the edge of East St. Louis and easily accessible to the greater St. Louis Metro East community. There are several native habitats to explore and admire with some amazing plants and trees. It is home to diverse wildlife. It's a great place for walking, playing, relaxing, exploring, and more. It's a great space for photographers. There is a large lake and fishing is permitted.

My favorite parts of this park are the flowers along parks of the lake and the bald cypress trees along another part of the lake. However, there are many hidden and obvious gems throughout the park.

I will have to go back to explore more next time. Lot's of nice little pond and lakes. I do not recommend using the bathroom at this place.

What can I say? This park is very nice! Plenty to do here. Very clean handicapped accessible bathrooms. Geese and other wild life. Nature st its best. They have a free book exchange too. There are lots of recreational activities going on year round while park is opened. Recommend you take the day and enjoy yourself.

Love the scenery and the nice walking path. Always kept clean and the lawn is mowed. Great place to work out and socialize. My family used to meet on all occasions here.

I've been walking in that park for years. The workers do an outstanding job keeping it clean. Great exercise environment!

The scenery is beautiful no matter what time of the year. Great place for morning walks, feeding the geese an ducks and over all comfort.

I had a very peaceful experience...beautiful scenery and wildlife. Nice place for kids to play and family BBQs too.

Lovely when it's kept up. I see they are cutting grass more often. Need too cut up tree limbs that are stacked in spots. Cut down old trees.
