Scooby's Hot Dogs

I love this place… it reminds me of my childhood growing up in Chicago.
The fries are real cut fresh fries.🔥
The staff was quiet but friendly. The Italian beef was 🔥 they dipped it as many times as I liked, and I love a soggy beef. The gyro burger was 🔥the gyro meat was cooked to perfection and everything was fresh. If you ❤ Chicago style food this is definitely the place to go.

Crown jewel and staple of Downers Grove for years. Great hot dog stand that serves all the favorites. They always give you a healthy amount of fries with your order and they taste fantastic. You can Scooby size your meal and then you get a ridiculous amount of fries. I love their 2 hot dog special with fries and a drink. Bonus, this place has Green River in their fountain drinks. Enjoy!

It's exactly what a hot dog joint should be. Every flavor what you would expect. Even the texture on the fries was spot on.

This a great lunch spot serving up Chicago Style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, shakes and more. I've been coming back for over 15 years. The prices are fair and the staff is friendly. The retro dining area is clean and well lit. If you're looking for a chill lunch spot give them a try.

The food was amazing!! I had a brat with fries and a bottle of Rootbeer. ( broke that Chi town tradition...no ketsup on the dog...but in my defense...it was a brat!! Hehe)My son had a Polish sausage and fries with a bottle of Green River soda. I was a little disappointed that my fries seemed to be in little pieces instead of whole fries...my son's fries were fine. They tasted good...just would have liked whole fries.. overall, my experience was great. Wonderful customer service, great atmosphere and great food...if you are looking for all beef Vienna dogs and a true Chicago atmosphere in the burbs...this is the place to go...they even have Italianbeefs and more...check them out

Friendly register order was done as asked. Food was preped and served as the same time and they have bottles of sodas as well as fountain drinks.

Very nice and clean location and I've been to 3 Scooby's now! Their food is always great! I do think it's strange they separated the fries from the hot dogs. Normally when I order at the one on grand ave near Elmhurst I'll order the double dog fries included and they just put them in the same wrapper with fries on top. This one wastes the wrappers by separating all 3 items. But hey if they don't want to save money then it's cool lol. I guess there's a lot of ocd people who don't like their food items touching in that town 🤣

Enjoyed the Chris Combo which is $9.99 . This includes a Chicago hot dog, cheeseburger, fries and drink. Well worth it.

Great Chicago Dogs and the best hand-cut crispy fries! I grew up in Chicago and know what a Chicago-style dog is supposed to taste like and this is it! Very fast service! I ordered the 2-dog special and was out of there in 3 mins. Like others, thought it was slightly on the higher side, but well worth it. I'm certainly coming here again and recommending them to everyone I know in the area.

We're visiting from Florida and this place was the closest to our hotel, so I decided to give them a try today. I had their Italian beef meal and it was one of Best Italian Beef's I've ever tasted! Lots of meat, spice & dipped well..The fries were delicious! I will definitely be going back before I head back home!!
