Samba provides excellent and authentic dishes that you'll enjoy. The wait staff was very talkative and were very thorough in their descriptions of what can be expected with the food when it comes to the table. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious. With plenty of gluten-free options, this place is great for people with allergies.

Great food and amazing customer service. It's a small place, yet it's classy and family friendly. I came in not knowing what to expect, it was my first time trying Brazilian food and it was so good, better than I expected. The owners were the ones making drinks and waiting tables, they introduced themselves to me and were telling jokes, made recommendations and everything was so good. The hot sauce was amazing... A little goes a long way but it's flavorful. There wasn't anything I tried that wasn't delicious. I regrettably didn't get a photo of the flan but it's grandma's recipe and yum 😋

We really enjoyed this place. Our food was delicious and the staff was fantastic and friendly! They were happy to make recommendations and teach us a thing or two about Brazilian culture/cuisine. If you’re in the Hopkins area much, stop in and try one of their traditional dishes. We hope to be back.

As a native Brazilian, I can easily affirm that this is the most authentic Brazilian food I’ve had in Minnesota! The taste brings me straight back home. I can’t emphasize enough how perfectly cooked everything is. I’ve been here so many times and tried a very large variety of the plates in the menu, and can’t complain about any of them. Besides, the staff is super friendly, the environment is fun and relaxing. I love coming here and deeply recommend! I’m so glad I have a little piece of Brazil so close :)

Charming, family run cozy spot with a great variety of homemade food that's all made with care. Lots of the food is basically comfort food that will be at once unique and appealing to the Midwestern palate. Hearty stews, beautifully grilled meats, amazing pizza and pasta! Something for everyone here...

Everything was delicious! From the pao de queijo to the pudim. I really wanted to get the bacalhau but they had just run out and so I got paella instead.

Fun tasty and different! My girlfriends and I met for a little girls night out here. we liked the white wine sangria (comes with frozen fruit) which kept it cool, we ended up getting a pitcher of this to share. Then we shared the Mendioca Frite (Fried Yuca) appetizer and the Coxinhas (Chicken Croquettes) both we enjoyed. The fried yucas are small light crunchy squares and reminded us of potatoes. The Croquettes were lightly crispy on the outside and warm with chicken on the inside. They came with a sauce that was like thousand island dressing. The owner brought us a spicy salsa/sauce that his father makes yum (give it a try but be careful it packs a punch!)
I had the seafood paella it had probably 6 or 7 mussels and small scallops and a descent amount of shrimp. All was flavorful and a super bright saffron yellow - I recommend this dish it's a good size portion (I took home 1/2)
We shared the molten choc cake (the ladies wanted chocolate). The owner proceeded to pour some fun libations at the bar for my lady friends to try - he is a great host!

I was looking for a well-reviewed, restaurant that would have plenty of options for 11 people, including four around the age of 80 and a couple of young adults who would prefer to eat vegetarian but are willing to eat fish and seafood. Oh, and one of the older guests thinks of ketchup as a spice so we needed to be sure that there would be dishes which could be prepared without spice for her. We struck gold.

The owner placed us at a round table facing the street, so it was very easy for everyone to see everyone and converse. He was extremely proud of his food and made a point of telling us which items were prepared by his father and mother, which he personally loved and why, and helped us decide when we had narrowed down the options to two or three options.

The service and food were superb. We will definitely be back.

This was my first time trying Brazilian cuisine and it was amazing! On top of that, the staff was incredible! I learned so much about the dishes and culture. The server was very personable. This place provides such a comfortable environment. The staff definitely wants to teach others so don’t be afraid if you aren’t familiar with the culture. They are so happy to answer your questions. I will be going back over and over again. Definitely would recommend! Great cocktail drinks and desserts as well. The staff even served people after closing time and didn’t at all even nudge at the fact that it was past closing time. They were just as happy to serve them as if they had just opened for the day. Genuine people and spectacular food!

Fantastic food and service! To give some context, my husband and I eat out *a lot*and are extremely picky about food. I got Paella Moresca and my husband got Picanha (medium-rare). We also had some flan for dessert.The food was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were very generous. The server (owner) was very friendly and helpful, and even brought us some in-house made hot sauce. Highly highly recommend!

My husband and I are from NY and wanted to try different places in the area. That being said my standards are high for food and service. We came across this place and we are so happy we did. We felt like we were home. The owners are so funny, warm, lively and genuine. He made so many great suggestions that made it easy to pick what to get and try out. The homemade sangria is made to perfection and the steak bruschetta is so tender you can pull it apart with your hands. I had the chicken and beef skewers and my husband had a traditional pork dish ( they give 2 full size pork chops) unheard of. They also didn’t even charge us for a drink we had. Everything was delicious and not to mention from drinks to food the servings are not skimpy. Would go back here just for the experience, inside is nothing special but the people and food are.

Picanha was fantastic! There is a market here where you can pick up popular Brazilian items like Guaraná and bombons. Glad I finally made it out here!

We came here for dinner on a cold Wednesday night and thoroughly enjoyed the food. One of the owners took our order (and made fantastic recommendations) and helped guide us through the extensive menu of home-cooked foods. We had steak, pork, a dish with shrimp, and two smaller appetizers and were very happy with everything.

The food was awesome. Very, very tasty! What a hidden gem in Hopkins. One of the owners was our waiter and he was extremely polite and helpful with the menu. I had the paella and it was delicious-the saffron rice was perfect and the sausage, ham and shrimp were flavorful. The peas were bright green and not over cooked. The portion sizes were huge, so I had enough left over for lunch the next day. Definitely will be going back!

First visit tonight and it was fantastic! Very friendly service....we had to wait just a bit longer than I’d like to get our order in....but then the piping hot food was quickly served after that.

I LOVED this place. It's family owned, with original family recipes on the menu. Jo, the father, and Victor, one of the sons, were absolutely prenominal hosts, very friendly and engaging. This little combination restaurant and grocery is brilliant. I love the food and options, great dishes rarely seen around the twin cities, service is amazing (I think we were served by a manager or owner) and if you want to get some of their spicy but flavorful hot sauce they will sell jars of it for a good price. The grocer section doesn't have much to it although you will have difficulty finding what they sell elsewhere. The staff is super friendly.
Don't walk by this place, because the signage outside doesn't give it much presence, but they are worth exploring.
