Portillo's Shorewood

Our go to spot for some chili cheese 🧀 hotdogs 😋. Place is always clean and food is always good and fast. Most importantly the staff is always friendly. My kids stop here sometimes twice a week.

This Portillos never disappoints! Came at noon, on a weekday, in the rain. Sure enough we were greeted, outside as usual, by an employee in what I’m calling an umbrella box! She was pleasant and dry, I was impressed!! Food order was taken quickly, and a few minutes later the food all came out hot and correct. Cheese fries are the best thing to eat!!

The big beef was delicious and so was the chocolate cake. The lady in the drive thru was very friendly.

Quick service. Always great. Although this time my beef was a little skimpy on the meat but usually made properly. Get the chocolate cake!

We came to try the beef sandwich. And did, it was amazing! If you haven't tried it you need to. My husband says it's a bucket list item. You should have it dipped in the gravy. Great customer service. When we got there it seemed really busy but we got our food fast and plenty of seats. Very clean. Wish we had one in VA.

This was a real treat. I stopped in for a quick bite to eat and found a fabulous place for a great meal. I was greeted by Kate and she was awesome. I had the Chicago hot dog and it was fantastic. I would definitely be back in this place again.

Their grab and go really got me out of a tough situation. We are having a bunch of last minute guests and portillos catering was closed. Their grab and go saved the day. They were extremely busy but were still able to meet all my needs aith great service as always.

My wife and I went to Portillo's for a couple of hot dogs. The hot dogs were okay. Not great, just okay. The service and atmosphere were very good. The chocolate cake was very good. We'll be back.

Best fries ever, always a long line but it moves fast

It was such a great experience for my first time being in Portillo's. The interior was interesting, the hosts were great, the food was awesome. Unfortunately I was super hungry so I didn't get to take a picture of the food, but it did not disappoint at all! The Italian beef sandwich was very delicious and one of my favorite! Would love to come back to Illinois to visit more Portillo's!

I've lived in Austin, TX since 2019 but make it back to the Chicagoland area at least 1x/year. My annual trips include 1 or more stops to Portillos to pick up bottles of salad dressing. During this trip, I noticed a sign for a plant based hot dog. In the past, I've asked for the hot dog without the 'dog', which was my go to since 1995 when I became a pescatarian & figured I'd try it out since the grilled tuna disappeared.
Of course, cheese fries are a must as well since they do not exist in Austin. I was amazed at how good the hot dog tasted. The bun was steamed & the toppings were fresh. The fries were crispy & the cheese hot.
I just wish someone would open a Portillos in Austin!

It’s good, like really good. This is obviously the collaboration of several good minds to come together to put together good food and a good atmosphere and Tell a good story about how food was good and how it can still be good if you practice. I have a literally driven 1000 miles for a hot dip sandwich. So maybe it’s good if good = frkin awesssssom sauuuuce!!!

1st and I love it!!! I tried the beef and sausage sandixh and hot dog with a strawberry lemln cake shake. Fries are good

Brought grandkids for lunch before school begins and as an "end of summer" treat. Other grandparents had the same idea! Kids had cheeseburgers 🍔 and they love Portillos. We had beef sandwiches and lemon cake....loved it! Love Portillo's and the fact that all the restaurants offer the same good quality and good service! Tables and bathrooms are always clean and disinfected.

We always love eating at Portillos! I'm partial to the chopped salad while my wife loves their burgers. Fries, onion rings, and chocolate cake are yummy as well. The chocolate cake shake is as good as it sounds. Every site is unique; this one has a prohibition era vibe which is fun. Conveniently located off Route 59, plenty of parking.

Been going to this Portillo’s for a long time it’s fast Reliable and the service is always good.. and of course, the food goes without saying no matter what you get it’s always delicious

Always good and fresh every time we visit. Drive thru take a while, as to be expected. Order is NEVER messed up or missing items. We love this Portillo's location.

Stopped at another favorite while on vacation in Illinois - Portillo's! Enjoyed our big beef, chili dogs, hot dogs, cheese fries, and root beer floats. Would love to see this restaurant open a location in DFW!

One of my favorite places. That flame-broil hamburger is awesome you got to try it. They have a nice selection and Delicious desserts. Fast service nice employees 👍

I mean I am no IL resident... but anyone should know you cannot go wrong at Portillo's.... Go with the traditional beef sandwich (amazing) or get cheeseburger, hotdogs, or even a salad if that is you thing... don't forget a slice of chocolate cake for dessert! 😉
