Thirty Bales

This place blew me away - what a gem of a restaurant! The server was very knowledgeable about where the food originated and everything that was in each meal. The apps, salad, meals, and dessert were incredible!

If you leave this place without getting the award-winning carrot cake you are missing out! It was the best I've ever had! I will be back many more times in the future for sure.

I have a new fave! Closer to work than home but will for sure be back - the food was delicious and came out really quickly which is great for going to the theater! The atmosphere is cozy and I will save room for a custom cocktail next time for sure - Thank you :)

Marybeth was an incredible waitress and made sure we knew everything about where the food was sourced and her recommendations. They have nothing but absolutely delicious locally-sourced food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You can tell so much care, thought and intention goes into the food here.

We were a group of 12 and we were able to sit all together for my birthday.

I just moved to Hopkins from downtown Minneapolis and ordered the beet salad for lunch takeout. Hands down one of the best I've ever had. If you like goat cheese and beets, this is the salad for you! I'm excited to go back and try more things.

Delightful brunch experience. Fluffy pancakes, lightly crisped and chewy thick-cut bacon, and the chorizo biscuits and gravy piled high with sauteed veggies and chipotle aioli were fantastic. Friendly service, and overall a great value for the quality of food.

One of our favorite spots. Really delicious flavors. Cocktails and wine list are top notch. Get the bread pudding!!!

We really liked Thirty Bales. The food was delicious- I had the Poutine and my wife had the spicy chicken sandwich. Her only minor suggestion was that the focaccia felt like it was not the best bun choice, but the chicken was fantastic with a really good spicy sauce. Our server was prompt, helpful and friendly. We had a great experience and will be back again in the future.

Been here for after work happy hour twice in the last two weeks. Have had great service and I love the atmosphere. It's hard to find a fun place these days that isn't too loud so this is a real gem! I'm happy to have found Thirty Bales as a great option for catching up with friends.

My husband and I had a date night here tonight; great food and cocktails, a great variety of options on the menu; we went with the short rib pot pie and short rib lasagna-both amazing. The owner greeted us and was so attentive making sure everything was good, definitely will be coming back soon!!

This was our first time visiting. We were there on a Sunday night and it maybe was a bit slower than say Friday or Saturday night, but the food and server was excellent. She went into detail on a variety of the food choices to let us know what was unique or set them apart. My Bale burger was excellent and tender. The bacon apple jam was delicious. The hand cut fries were both crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They had a large selection of craft beers as well wine and cocktail choices. The four of us shared a small slice of Bourbon cheesecake that was the perfect ending to our meal.

30 Bales is delicious. Everything we tried had a made from scratch quality to it in the best ways. Service was friendly and attentative.
We started with the truffle parm fries. Which were crunchy and tasty in their own, but def advise dipping in the truffle aioli.
For entrees, my gf had the beet salad and I had the spicy chicken sandwich. My gf enjoyed the beet salad, but would have chosen a dif protein if she had it again. She had the Tuna as a protein.
The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing. Crunchy, spicy, and tasty. The chicken was super juicy.
We finished our meal with a tres leches strawberry shortcake for dessert. My gf didnt care for it because it was really sweet. I thought it was quite a delicious cake. The cake was crumbly and moist, the jam was sweet and sugary. Yum!
We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch. Excellent menu diversity and atmosphere. I had the green chicken curry and wasn’t disappointed. The service was excellent and I will be returning. The only suggestion I have would be try not to sit near the kitchen because the radio is so loud it takes away from the overhead music which fits the overall vibe.

I ordered the Coconut Green Curry Bowl and it was the best meal I have ordered out and some time. Lindsi was our server and made our visit extra special with her kindness and hospitality.

Awesome food and atmosphere. Had the Beer Braised Pulled Pork Tacos, and they were some of the best tacos I’ve had in recent memory. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely amazing the was such great options we struggled to pick one! The lasagna is the best lasagna I've ever had and the walleye dish was such a great choice for a cold day! The service was some of the highest quality of service I've seen in a long time our server was SO attentive and helpful! We enjoyed the entire experience and definitely recommend!

Really great atmosphere and awesome selection of hand crafted meals. Loved seeing lots of unique options that I couldn’t get elsewhere. And the staff was excellent. Would definitely recommend trying this for a night out on the town!

MaryBeth was a fantastic server. It's so nice to go out and get great service. The walleye was delicious, my wife loved the airline chicken, and our friend really enjoyed her Bale burger. The chocolate torte was pretty good, but the apple cobbler, oh, my, goodness, absolutely the best I have ever had. If you are in Hopkins, and looking for dinner, Thirty Bales is the place to go.
