I love the variety and the gifts I can't find anywhere near home. Plus they have I forgot existed!!! Excellent coffee and service

Great grocery/bakery/coffee stop any time of year but especially good this time of year for stocking stuffers and last minute gifts.

Went here all the time while we attended UMaine. Our weekend treat was to go on a Friday afternoon and get a few fancy craft sodas to enjoy over the weekend. On snow days we went in the morning for fresh donuts and hot cocoa. It was nice to always see Roberta in there. I hope we get to return there someday.

Used to get a muffin here every morning when I went to UMaine. Returned here after 10 years and they are still just as good as I remember. Been searching high an low for a muffin that compares and it simply does not exist.

Since moving to the Orono area, I've found myself here at least once a week - there's always something new & such an eclectic and fun variety of foods, gifts, and trinkets to look at. The coffee here is SPECTACULAR, too - seriously, you've got to try it, as it's some of the best in the area (especially when compared to nearby chain coffee shops.)

This place has been my go-to place for coffee, wine and gifts since I moved to the area in 2013. From high school to graduate school Ampersand has always been such a comforting hometown spot that I highly recommend to anyone! The espresso drinks and pastries have my heart- SO GOOD! If you're thinking about going- do it! <3

Love the home feel of this store. It has a little bit of everything; take time to look around. Roberta is a pleasant fixture!

This place has a super friendly and chill vibe. You can find a lot of great stuff -- organic and local food and gifts. Try the "everything" cookie. The coffee is always good, and they have Nitrobrew.

I work at a coffee house that gives an employee discount and I still rather visit this store for an assorted array of latte flavors and oat milk. The customer service is north of ordinary, it helps me appreciate the culture around living with a community. In fact, I’m anticipating my next visit tomorrow after work. I hope the chocolate croissants stick around until 13:00?

10 years ago, The Store was in a tough spot. Even with love and care, years of operation had taken a toll. Yet, one day last spring I came in and the Store has taken on new life. Going in now, I feel like a low again. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies, but get there early or you'll miss out.

They have the Best coffee in Orono and the best deal! Buy one of their mugs and get $1 coffees everyday! Plus free coffee Wednesday! Their pastries are also delicious and they have a phenomenal selection of craft beer and wine!

I love Ampersand! The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. It's much better than Aroma Joe's or Nest. Also, it's a family owned business which is definitely more ideal to support. They have great prices, like 2.75 for a 16 oz chai latte- with dairy free alternatives like soy and almond milk. My one gripe is that I wish they made more vegan baked goods. I've heard great things about their blueberry muffins, but apparently they go pretty quickly in the morning, and I've never gotten my hands on one. But, clearly the demand is there- please start making more!

Absolutely love Ampersand. Best coffee in town. Everyone is very friendly. They have the cutest little knick knacks! Great place to grab local eggs. They also have a wide selection of wine!

Wish I had discovered this place early into college. They have very unique coffee/tea drinks and a wonderful little marketplace. Definitely check it out over starbucks, dunkin, or aromas. That's if you like to change things up.

My granddaughter and now I enjoy going to this wonderful general store with a potpourri of offerings from coffee and cakes, to candy, to wine, to any handy items you might need at home! Love it there!!

Nice atmosphere, nice people, a chess set, overly soft stuffed animals, huge cookies, and the best god damned tea I've ever had in my life. I'm currently attempting to find a place to live in Orono just to be somewhat close to this place. I love it.

This is a family owned business that works hard to make great baked treats, sources amazing breads, makes great brewed and espresso coffee, has organic and natural products, sells great wine for less, and has one of the best chocolate collections in the area. PLUS--- they're bloody funny, wry, and know everything that is going on in town. Want coffee. Go here. Need the NYT and great crusty bread, go here. Small shop with a big personality. Great place to grab coffee or fresh baked goods. They have a small eclectic selection beer and wine, plus lots of hard to find food items.

Awesome baked goods, coffee, and coffee drinks. Lots of nice local handcrafted goods. Also very easy to order bulk foods. An anchor of Downtown Orono. Great cafe.
