Penobscot Valley Country Club

We had our wonderful wedding reception here this weekend. The staff was awesome (especially Dylan), the food was terrific, the venue looked great, very reasonably priced, and they got us in quite last minute. Our evening was pretty much perfect! PVCC and Dylan helped make our night everything we have wanted. Thank you!

Had our wedding here, hands down one of the best decisions we made in the planning process! Christine was an absolute treasure, such a valuable asset in the planning process! Great ideas and suggestions about how to save money overall with the wedding, how to make it about us with favors and centerpieces, etc. She was wonderful! Chef Dave made special dinners for special diets, so incredibly thoughtful! The rest of the staff were amazing! Gail and Mary Kate were excellent servers that night, too. Hubs can't wait for his free season of golf!!

Dylan was very helpful and friendly. We were there for the Maine Mayflower Society meeting.. The meeting room is bright and cheery. The view is spectacular.

What a wonderful venue. And the staff were so helpful and kind.
They hosted a fundraiser for The Purple Iris Foundation and donated as well.

My experience at Penobscot Country club was in incredible! Upon arrival I was greeted by Jack, the pro shop attendant who checked me in for my tee time and was super helpful and full of course insight. At the first tee I was met with gorgeous views of the Penobscot valley and mountain ranges spanning the horizon. The course conditions were impeccable and rivaled any course in northern Maine. I cannot recommend Penobscot valley country club enough for anyone new to the game or an elite player looking for a challenging track. Awesome!

This is a very enjoyable course to play, one of the best in northern Maine. Challenging and from pro shop to grounds you can tell there is a constant effort to improve. The one course I play in where if you make suggestions someone is listening. This course impresses me more and more each day. They now have their own app for booking tee times, from ground crew to pro shop the friendliest staff, would love to send the staff from the Florida courses I play up to observe.

My wedding took place at the Penobscot Valley Country Club on 11/6/21. It was an absolutely magical day. The venue itself is gorgeous with the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. We were able to use the facilities all day long to get ready, which was important since we had a large wedding party and accompanying guests. Christine was with us every step of the way. Having her there gave us peace of mind. We didn't have to worry on the day of because we knew Christine would make sure everything went smoothly and she really did. Clean up was organized by Christine and her crew. Everyone was very professional, polite, and pleasant to interact with. The food was also delicious (the bread was soooo good) and many people brought home their leftovers. I highly recommend them as a wedding venue or for any large event as Christine and everyone else there was lovely to work with.

PVCC just keeps showing improvement week after week. Today I was especially impressed with the greens. As a member, I don't remember these greens with as much density to the turf ever. And, although they were a little slower than usual, they putted true, and also had all the subtle breaks PVCC is noted for. GREAT WORK!!

The course has come along ways since the beginning of the year! My compliments to the hard working crew! I would also like to compliment the bar staff for always giving good service with a friendly smile! My compliments also to the chef! Thank you for making my favorite salad, a Border salad, upon request! It was yummy! My husband and I usually eat after golfing and the food has been delicious! Not to leave out anyone, the pro and his staff are also why this golf course is a favorite place to golf!

Been a member at PVCC for years. The course remains one of the best, if not the best, in the area. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Great experience....from golf to dining.

Today (Nov 7) was a great day of golf at PVCC!

I hope we can get a league for Video Golf and Cribbage this winter.

Fantastic golf course. It reminded me how bad I actually am at golf. Very fun place to play.

Excellent facility, and the staff are out of this world. I was on a business trip a few weeks ago. Members of my party contacted the management about having a scramble tournament. They all (staff and members) went all out to make us feel welcome. Thanks guys. We will be coming back in the future.

Attended a wedding reception here recently. Food was excellent, views were amazing, staff were friendly. Only issue we had was the doors to the outer decks locked from the inside, so if you went out, you couldn't get back in. But a lovely venue and a delicious dinner!

Outstanding course ... it was april and i had to walk it as it was muddy and soggy from winter thaw ... but it was STILL fantastic to have the opportunity to play a championship course like this one .... if i ever get back to bangor i will definitely be here again .... donald ross was a madman ...lol

I'm not a golfer but I've worked on events charities and Penobscot Valley Country Club is always supportive of causes in the community. It also was one of the most beautiful courses in the region.
