A must experience activity. Come prepared with good gear. The trail is hard pressed so if it’s rained it can be messy. This is a wildlife area and there was a sign for black bear sighting, so take necessary precautions. The scene is calm and tranquil. You basically escape into wilderness instantly and are surrounded by nothing but trees. It’s a beautiful walk.

Great "board walk", it has a few benches alont the path and during the warmer day the parking area will be packed.

Wonderful amenity for Bangor, the City Forest has well maintained trails, easy to read posted maps coded by number and letter. Be forewarned, no dogs allowed on the Bog Boardwalk which was disappointing to us so we had to skip that trail which seems really popular. Parking wasn't bad on this holiday Saturday and we arrived after 1 pm.

Great place for a short walk or a long walk. Great for bike riding, walking dogs, cross country skiing or get there at the right to walk out on the bog raised walking path. Very nice place to quickly be out side the city I and see some nature. Lots of trails and walking paths . Birds, bears and dear are some of the many aminals you might find.

What a nice quiet place to go for a walk on the blog walk. For you to get the most of this place walk slowly and relax it's not a race.

very well marked/maintained, family friendly, flat, accessible for all. The bog boardwalk is unique.

A large park with miles of trails. It's a great park for birding, it is abundant with woodland songbirds. The biggest drawback is it is very popular and the parking lot can get crowded, but generally on the trails there is plenty of solitude. Lots of dog walkers, some of whom decide they are above keeping their pet on leash. Aside from the people and their errant dogs it's lovely. You can walk the orono bog boardwalk, the veazie railroad bed trail or connect up with bangor land trust trails to extend your walk even longer.

Always a nice place to go for a walk, run, bike or snowshoeing! The trails are well kept and there are also some trails off the main trail that are taken care of but still have the feeling of walking through a forest!

As tourists, we were very excited to have stumbled upon this treasure! The mosquitos are unreal - but losing a little bit of blood was worth the sights! Definitely will recommend anyone who visits Bangor to hike these trails.

One of my favorite places to walk. Lots of different trails with different lengths. Usually not too crowded. You can be alone in a urban area.
