Inn on Water Street

So charming and unique! Clean, comfortable and so cute. The mattress is high quality and very comfy and sheets were soft. Love all the little touches and the coffee/lounge room in the lobby! Here for a sisters weekend - will have to come again!

Stayed last year and will be staying for my birthday in December..this is a charming inn with beautiful rooms. One of my favorite Inns.

Loved my stay even though it was a short one! Will definitely be going back, very clean and comfy rooms, staff is very pleasant!

Nice clean rooms and lobby. Very nice complimentary breakfast and coffee bar.

I would give this place all 5 stars except there was some damage to one of the walls in our room that needed to be painted. The very clever drawer ignoring board was broken. (they brought us a new one right away) and the table was very wobbly and did not get fixed or replaced during our 3 day stay. The view was pretty good. We stayed in room 7 and there is a very large tree directly across the street from the balcony. The gliders were amazing! I did not really complain about the maintenance issues because I understand that these are challenging times and most places are very short staffed. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. You've got to get your Mocha Late' from the cool machine in the breakfast room. The most important thing to me is that the hotel was very, very, clean. I highly recommend this hotel. I feel that we received great value for the money. Hope the restaurant opens soon. I heard from local store owners about how good the food was there.

My husband and I have been Patronizing the inn on the water for more than a year and a half and it has been nothing but excellent service. Renee has always been our go to person at the Inn on the water. Her kindness, and bubbly personality has made our stay wonderful. The rooms has always been clean and neat. I would recommend anyone to book a home away from home at the Inn on water street.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Very clean and super comfortable (especially the special beds and pillows). Every aspect of our stay was pleasant. We got a room with a view and it was beautiful! The lounge upstairs has a neat viewing area too, which we loved. The room is perfectly clean, with well organized space. The staff was very friendly and responsive. They answered all of our questions, answered our calls or called us back when needed. The breakfast was good too, it felt like eating a nice breakfast at home. Would love to visit again!

Customer service was impeccable! Can't speak highly enough of this husband and wife duo. My husband and I recently stayed there for our wedding night and they allowed a very late check in with a smile on their face. They escorted us to our room and provided champagne to help us celebrate. I was blown away by the service! Comfy robes awaited us in our king balcony suite. The look of the room was country mixed with marina. Very clean, and crisp. We live 10 minutes away but we would stay here again just for a fun getaway. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel, our rooms were fantastic, great view of the river from our balcony watching the big freighters go by. Definitely a destination place you don't want to miss. I highly recommend this Inn.😊👍

What a cool little spot! Very clean and lots of unique features. The bed and linens were amazing. Temperature control is actually controlled in the room, unlike most hotels these days. But the best part about this place is the people who run it. Even during COVID, they were very accommodating and super welcoming. An amazing place for a getaway!

Phenomenal Accommodations! The view was amazing watching the freighters pass by while we sat on our balcony drinking our coffee in the morning and enjoying a nice glass of Cab and a cheese plate before we went to the restaurant for dinner. Laid back and quaint to say the least. The rooms were clean and spacious, but the beds were so comfortable my wife and I will be replacing our existing with the same from the hotel!

It will be our go to place to stay while we visit our friends and family!

Stopped for cocktails. Had skeleton key and margarita. Both were very good. Came back later in the day and had dinner. Had duck, lamb, and tortellini. All we're great. Very clean. Bathrooms were immaculate. Angie was our server both times and was top notch. Very nice addition to the water front.

Friday 10-18-19 my husband and I thought we would give the Inn a try for dinner, and we were so glad we did. There isn't many places we can go to eat out in the area. We won't eat bad oils or margarine (even if it's mixed with a little butter). The prices here were well worth it for the quality of the food you get. Their site states "We strive to source natural, wild caught, and organic food so that our finished product is not only delicious, but also nutritious and healthy." and they mean it. We had the lobster cake, fried brussels sprouts, scallops, and snapper. Everything was great including the service. I'm in a wheelchair and there was plenty of room to not feel cramped. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back!

We didn't stay at the Inn itself, but we are at The Inn Kitchen - so this review will focus on that.

The restaurant was clean and cozy feeling. The waitstaff were all friendly. We had reserved the "Terhune Room" for our party, and it was laid out nicely, and was nice because it was a bit quieter than the main restaurant.
To start with, they bring out corn bread - it is delicious! It is more like cake than bread, with a nice blend of sweet and savory - everyone at the table loved it!
I ordered their Waterfront Lemonade - nice and fruity!
I ordered The Farmer's Cut (8oz sirloin - photo), and my partner ordered the Three Cheese Tortellini (pboto). There was a bit of a wait for the entrees to get out to us - but the food was worth it! Incredibly delicious!

Bottom line - totally worth the price & wait, but make sure you plan your time!

Wife and I tried the Kitchen for the first time. The food and ambiance were great and the staff was super friendly. I got the farmer's cut 10oz NY strip and it was delicious. Wife got the scallops and even though she said they were good, she only got 4 and they were on the small side. That was the only negative of the night.

Food was excellent. There were 4 of us who went and we were all very happy with our dinners. Servers and bar tenders were great too. Both owners greeted us and they were very kind and welcoming. Got a tour of the hotel and jewelry store. We will be going back for sure! Great place and enjoyable atmosphere.

Be sure to check out the common room on the top floor; huge viewing binoculars that can see well across the river into Canada!

The rooms are very elegant!! The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. The game room, though doesn't contain games, is a nice place to hang out and look out the old WWII ship binoculars. The lights in the room are a little weird as you use your room key to activate the lights. The best part was the complimentary chocolate chip cookies and milk in our room.

We stopped at the Inn late on a Friday evening. We had delicious cocktails and an appetizer. The prices here are probably the most expensive in town. However, the food is fresh, local, and very well-prepared. The Inn is located inside a hotel, but don't let that put you off. Our server was well-trained, courteous and very attentive. Our seared tuna appetizer was delicious. I hope to go back and enjoy a full meal there someday!
