I love the trails here with so many trees and hills. Feels like you are completely away from the city and in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful!

Lovely trails for a nature enthusiast: solid wildflower viewing, dragonflies everywhere, and birds that aren't found in many other places in the area. Main trail is wide but unpaved, mildly hilly, and VERY buggy, so come prepared.

With 10 miles of trails, great scenery and technical features, it's the perfect option for any level of rider, whether you're an experienced biker or looking for something intermediate. From the moment I stepped foot in Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve, I knew I was in for a treat. This gem in northeast Scott County is an idyllic blend of glacial ridges, lush forests, and hilly terrains that makes every visit memorable.

Whether you're on foot, horseback, or two wheels, the trails here have something to offer. The walking and horseback riding trails wind through dense woods and open fields, offering a serene and contemplative experience. Wildlife sightings are frequent, and the peace and tranquility are incomparable.

For the mountain bikers among us, this park is a paradise. The trail system is extensive and offers varying levels of difficulty. Technical sections will challenge even seasoned bikers, while there are plenty of areas where less experienced riders can still enjoy a good ride.

Murphy-Hanrehan isn't just for those who want to get their pulse racing; it's also a haven for birdwatchers. Designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society, this is the best park in Three Rivers to spot woodland songbirds. The Natural Resources division even conducts annual songbird surveys, attesting to the area's importance for bird populations.

I was particularly impressed with the effort put into maintaining this natural oasis. Trails are well-marked and the park is clean and well-kept, thanks to the hard work of the park's management and staff.

If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, look no further than Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve. However, come prepared if you think you'll need to use the restroom. Despite this shortcoming, whether you're an avid mountain biker, a casual walker, a horseback rider, or a birdwatching enthusiast, this park offers something for everyone. I can't wait to return for more adventures, but I'll be sure to plan my bathroom breaks accordingly.

Great single track. It is very fast and flows well. Some technical features that have ride arounds and the climbs are all pretty easy. Great place to ride because of at the great scenery. In total 10 miles of trail to ride when there bird loop is open. Fat biking in winter as well.

I Love this trail this is on top of my list 10/10 and I’d highly suggest it to a friend or coworker if they wanted to go mtb. I like to remember this trail is for the flowyness and the gruvyness there are a lot of roots in this trail but they arnt that bad to deal with if you know how to deal with them but they are also fun and there’s a lot more features I’d thought there be. I’m a huge fan of man made or wooden built drops jumps ramps and more and there is so much here same with the tall and gruvy bridges they are so fun to ride and just cruise on and you don’t even have to go fast on this trail to have fun you take your time and it’s so beautiful there is a certain area where you get too and there isn’t any shrubs or bushes around there are just the tall trees and you can see so much and as your ridding you can see upcoming features that can hype you up but I love this trail so much ❤🙏🏼

Rating 5 stars because how are you gonna give Nature any less?

For trail running, it's pretty good, not the most difficult course, but fun anyways. I like Afton more, but Murphy is pretty good too.

Easy, intermediate, and advanced trails offer options for every skill level. Restrooms and plenty of parking at the trailhead. Pretty well maintained trails (only took easy and intermediate sections). Visited late May of 2021.

My new favorite trails in the twin cities. More flow, less straight trail sections, more kickers, berms, rock features. Climbs are well paced.. Only the skinny has some risk and all the other features are doable for this intermediate rider.

Visiting from Missouri, this park was super cute! We didn't even see half the park. Off leash dog park at this trail head (pay to use), but the circle trail here is one way! I love it! Helps prevent dogs meeting in passing. Was still a little early season wise, but the trees were gerting green and the open space was pretty. Even saw a deer!

Beautiful and very hilly. Easy to get lost if you don't study the maps. Great trail running or hiking. Plan to get muddy if it's rained. I avoid it once the biting black flies appear in summer. They are awful there.

This is a great place to go ride your Mountain Bike. It is fast and flowy and very well done. There are a few features, and you can usually go around them easily if you would like. Murphy is a very fun trail for all skill levels. You can also ride your fat bike in the winter here. They do a great job all year long.

My favorite singletrack in the Twin Cities and in everyone's top five, there are a lot of great trails in the metro area. The furious uphills are rewarded with fast downhills, there are a few small jumps but you can go around them... if you're so inclined. This trail is more about flow than tricks, there are other great trails for the latter. Check the MORC website for trail conditions before you ride.

Murphy singletrack is fantastic! 3 different loops for a variety of skill levels. The trail is a one way singletrack and is well kept up for great year round riding. Park closes at 10pm and remember, never ride wet or closed trails. Happy riding!

One of the best local mtb areas. Trails for all levels. Not too technical, multiple loop options. The fun factor and difficulty goes up with speed. Many local high school mtb teams practice here. Large parking lot, water and rest rooms are available.

My favorite trail in the Twin Cities metro area the Twin Cities metro area. It's just technical enough, just scary enough, and just challenging enough from a cardio standpoint to test your skills without doing anything too risky. Lots of mounds to practice little jumps as well.

Had a fun time riding these trails. The green is quite easy at the end there are a few jumps. The blue and black trails have some more challenging parts.

Great set of stacked loops. Green is flowy and flat through some prairie, blue has great depth of terrain and nice trail features.

Intermediate trail was a lot of fun. There are few rock crossings, short steep inclines. Overall not very difficult.
