I went to sparks and a few other places for a second look at an estimate I received. I was told $3,700 for the actual issue plus $1,000+ more for other issues I didn’t know about. I brought my car into Sparks and Adam was very kind in explaining everything so that I could understand. I truly appreciated that he was open to every questions and even said, “there are no stupid questions.” Which made me feel more confident and I was able to understand what was going on with my car. They worked on it right away and were done in a timely manner at a fraction of the price. I am able to drive my car safely now bc of Adam and Sparks Auto Group! Thank you guys!!! I’ll definitely be back if any other issues arise!

I was once a customer of a different shop across town for 35 years, and I never thought I would find another place that put me before profit, where I trusted both their word and their work, without question. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change, I had more than enough time to get there. The whole staff is GREAT! I have been going there for 17 yrs or so. Paul and Chris both have 40 or more yrs off mechanic experience, with 3 other guys and adding, says it all right there. Adam and Pam, greet you to start your service. Usually Auto Repairs Shop try to get more money from coustomer. But they help to reduce my cost. They fixed my car with in 1 hour. They help me a lots. I like their service. I really appreciate. I will go again if i have any other issues with my car. I really recommend their service for you . Thanks again

I have never written a review for an auto repair shop, but Sparks Smith Nielsen deserves a great review. These guys are passionate about cars, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest. It is owned and operated by Paul and is not part of some franchise operation where the mechanics change constantly. Paul, Adam, and the entire team are vested in the reputation and quality of service. I would not go anywhere else for a car repair or regular maintenance.

Also, I brought in a 1979 Fiat 2000 convertible that most places would not even touch because it is old and problematic. It has never run better since I brought it here for repair and my bill was extremely reasonable. I highly and strongly recommend this auto repair shop, especially if you have an older or specialty vehicle that needs someone with real car expertise and knowledge.

Paul and Adam are incredible! Super efficient and timely! They were able to quickly get the work done PLUS get extra parts I was unable to find elsewhere. They were able to order it and have it within 20minutes of the order! I wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else! Treated like family

I had a great experience here! My 2005 Honda Civic had an oil leak. Sparks repaired the issue and cleaned up the engine at a reasonable price, and they told me to let them know if I see any further issues. I plan to return for future repairs. Thanks!

When I moved to Hopkins, I chose this place based on Google reviews and so glad I did. Adam is always helpful, informative and the turnaround time for service is quick and efficient. I prefer bringing my Volvo here than going to the dealership. Even though I moved out of Hopkins, I’ll still bring my car here because of the excellent customer service and work of the technicians.

This place is the absolute best. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and honest.

I have had work done on my car multiple times here and every time they do an amazing job. Each time they explained what was wrong and what the steps were to get to problem fixed. The pricing is fair and they are always upfront. Breaks, AC compressor, Battery, and Starter just to name a few repairs. They are my repair guys

I have been going to this Smith Nielsen location since I moved to the area, and by far, this has been the best and most trustworthy place I've been to. They've taken great care of both of my cars, one of which was very old and needed a lot of work. The pricing is very fair, and they are very good at reviewing everything and breaking down the needed fixes and what can wait. The best repair shop in many miles. These guys are too good to go anywhere else, period. Trustworthy, best prices, and beyond a doubt the best customer service I have experienced. The fact they have loaner cars is even better. It's saved my bacon a few times.

For over 20 years I’ve been taking all of our vehicles to Paul and his guys at Sparks in Hopkins. I have NEVER been disappointed. Excellent work, excellent pricing and honesty is the reason I’m such a believe. You won’t be disappointed!!

These guys always do the right thing where my vehicle is concerned. That noise that I thought was a broken tailpipe/muffler that would cost me a couple of hundred? No, they told me it's a loose heat shield, reconnected at no charge while they're doing other maintenance and tire change. Good guys that do good work. I see no reason to ever take a vehicle elsewhere.

Best customer service, period. I would recommend Sparks for a few reasons:

1. Adam and Paul. These two are the customer facing duo that remember your name and remember your car. Amazing personalities that are warm and inviting.
2. Honesty. They always run me through my options and pricing. I have not felt pressured to get repairs beyond what is necessary.
3. Quality of the work. There is a reason why you see cars piling up outside their shop. Great quality and great pricing.

Compile that together and you get the best auto repair shop I have set food in.

I took a risk on a new mechanic shop and I WON THE LOTTERY!!!! Time and time again Sparks Smith Nielsen has exceeded my expectations, and my expectations are high! They are always fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Did I mention they actually take the time to educate me, when I am asking them a hundred questions?!

Being a woman I NEVER have to feel like they are over charging me, or recommending something I don't need. I honestly am going to be so sad when I move because I will be leaving the BEST mechanic shop I've ever came across. I hope I can find another mechanic shop as good and as honest as this one again.

I've been going here a few years now..its a busy place and well worth going to. I trust Smith Nielsen to assess my car problems and fix it without the unnecessary con of trying to squeeze extra money out of ya and do things unnecessary to your car. They do not try to take advantage of ya. The people here are nice and honest and the prices are reasonable. I strongly recommend. 👍
