I thought Dr. Block and his staff were excellent. I had a nasty infected tooth that needed to come out right away. His staff squeezed me in in just a few hours after I called. They were compassionate and made sure that I was taken care of. Dr. Block was very reassuring and talked me through the whole process. He eased my fears. After the tooth was extracted, he made sure I was okay and prescribed narcotics as necessary and made sure I was on an antibiotic. They sent me home with instructions. After a few days, I was feeling worse and the infection and the pain were still there. I called his office and his receptionist was very nice and urgently gave Dr. Block the message to make sure that I was getting a strong enough antibiotic. He also knew that I was short on money and charged me the lowest price. They were right there the whole way for me when I needed help and I felt in good hands. Would highly recommend.

Very impressed! Dr. Block and his staff did an incredible job removing my 4 wisdom teeth. I asked him about alternatives to anesthesia, and I thought he was very reasonable. He said we could try a local anesthetic (novacaine). We tried it on the easiest tooth first, and saw how I reacted. He and Cecilia talked me through the entire thing letting me know when there was going to be pressure. They joked around and distracted me which kept me calm. It was painless enough that I opted for a local anesthetic for the remaining 3 teeth (no anesthesia). About a year before my surgery, I took my grandma to a consultation with Dr. Block because she had to get 10 teeth removed (poor thing), and he was just as kind and compassionate with her. Hopefully, I will never need another oral surgery, but if I did, I would certainly go back to him. Definetely would recommend him and his staff.

Very pleased with DrBlock and staff.
I had 4 molars out, 1 dry socket.
Having no to go in for that. Pleased so far, just want the bottom to heal.
Dr Block has a sense of humor and tries to put you at ease.
I am a nervous anxious person and he and muse helped me through.
I did have nitra oxide and that helped too.
Hopefully insurance covers what they are suppose to pay.
Would recommend Dr Block and his staff for your extractions , surgery.

Dr. Block completed a dental implant for me (extraction and implantation of post). He explained everything fully and all went well. He and his staff are so personable and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Block.

Staff was very pleasant. My extractions were done quickly and I was given good post op instructions.

Dr. VanSurksum was great he explained the procedure and showed a video on what to expect. I would highly recommend his office and staff.

Dr. Block was friendly but that's is as far as it goes. After he performed UNNECESSARY surgery on my mouth I ended up with not 1, not 2 but THREE major infections. I spent MONTHS recovering from his !@#@$ work. I ended up with three different abcesses in my mouth, on antibiotics for weeks and then IV antibiotics for several weeks after that. 9 months later I continued to have problems with the area he destroyed. I had a root canal that did not help so finally this summer a wonderful surgeon removed my tooth. I am now left with NO tooth right in front of my mouth (my eye tooth #11). I had to spend $3000 extra to fix his poor work. I had to have additional surgery, tooth removal, a $600 oral appliance to wear for 6 months before i go back in and spend another $2k to have a dental implant placed. When I arrived at Dr. Blocks office the staff did nothing to ensure that risk of infection was minimized. My new oral surgeon had me rinse with an oral antibacterial rinse right before the surgery, for 2 weeks after and oral antibiotics. I was sent home with pain meds, antibiotics and the oral wash. NON of which were provided by Dr. Blocks office. Their finance department that is supposed to obtain prior authorizations for procedures lied to me as well. They told me that my medical insurance would cover the procedure but low an behold they didnt! I have been fighting with a collection agency for several months now for the remaining balance of $570 to Dr. Block as I do not feel I should have to pay this because of all of the pain and suffering I went through. The finance department hung up on me when I explained my situation and how upset I was, instead of trying to resolve it like an adult. I would highly suggest you steer as far away from Dr. Block and his team as possible!
