Piccolo Bistro

I booked the Bistro for a Sprinkle Party for my daughter . I enjoyed working with the owner in planning the party . He was accommodating and listened to my requests. We had 23 quests. The 4 tables were handled with prompt and friendly service …. Everyone enjoyed their meal . Yes, I would book another party . I also have discovered a nice restaurant to have lunch and dinner at; with family and friends .

We had my daughter's bridal shower at Piccolo Bistro. John was great to work with and everything went seamlessly. The food was amazing.

We had a great time at Piccolo Bistro for our large party. The owner was very accommodating and the food and service were great. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

We went for dinner and everything was excellent! They are able to accommodate with gluten free diets. The only complaint was that the service was a little slow - but it was also 4th of July weekend. Every time I’ve been I’ve enjoyed my experience!! And the outdoor seating is covered and pretty cool even in 90 degree temperatures.

Delicious food and very good atmosphere! Definitely we come back again.

Wonderful breath of fresh air experience! Lively little quaint and romantic setting! We were able to sit outside in their beautiful patio, which was able to be covered by an awning with lights underneath. It was perfect! It was a quiet night which made for a nice date night. The bread and olive oil (which had pesto, cheese and maybe some other spices?) were fresh and tasty! We ordered the fritto misto, YUM! and the special lobster bisque. For entrees we had the homemade Tagliatelle with Crab Meat, Shrimp, Cherry Tomatoes, Arugula, Citrus Gremolata and the penne vodka! Both were very very good! We will absolutely be back again, happy to have found this little hidden gem!

Please try the grilled octopus and the short ribs. It was sooooo delicious. The service was also great. Staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend and will return some time soon.

Had the sea bass. Hard to find really good Italian that can accommodate diary and gluten allergies. These guys nailed it

Indoor and out door dining.. we started outside and moved inside when it got too cool (thankfully there was table available so we could). Comfortable, relaxing place to sit and chat with an old friend (or new). The owner was very welcoming to us and to families with children. Highly recommend. BYOW

Our big family event with 9 people was just perfect! Everyone ordered different dishes and everything, the sea food, lamb and beef were all delicious. The presentations were beautiful and the service was outstanding. The lovely outdoor space reminded me of my vacation to Barcelona. We really enjoyed a springtime afternoon in the sunshine. We have already booked another event in two weeks. Definitely recommended to friends!

Great food and great service. Portion is very generous! Salmon over risotto is very good. Fresh salmon and smooth tasting risotto. Piccolo burger is surprisingly good! Short ribs on the bun were tender and juicy. We never had such a unique burger! It was raining yet the brand new retractable awning kept us dry while allowing us to enjoy the sound of rain drops….Cannot recommend this place enough!

Went for lunch-sat outside such a lovely space! The waiter was wonderful-patient and very helpful. The mushroom polenta was really amazing & perfect for sharing. The penne ala vodka was just perfect. I will definitely recommend and most certainly go back. Everyone was attentive and kind. Thank you for a great afternoon!!!!

My husband and I visited Piccolo for the first time recently, and we plan to return again and again. The food was superb. They accommodated my food allergies exactingly and with aplomb, serving me a delicious meal perfectly and exclusively prepared. My husband had the eggplant rolitini appetizer and raved about flawlessly melded flavors. For his main, he had the risotto with grilled shrimp and scallops. The exquisitely fresh seafood was exceptionally cooked, beautifully sauced, and the risotto itself had a perfect bite. The portions were so large that he took his dessert home - a tiramisu. It’s his favorite Italian dessert, and he has sampled it all over Italy and the US. Piccolo’s tiramisu is authentically prepared and rivals the best he has had.
The service was welcoming, friendly, and attentive to our every need without being obsequious. The dishes were timed to arrive precisely and at the perfect temperature. The atmosphere was cozy and the decor was warm and inviting. Don’t hesitate to make Piccolo your next restaurant destination, and don’t wait! It’s a gem!

We hosted my daughter’s first communion here and it turned out perfect!!!! The food was great, owner was super flexible & staff was so sweet. I will definitely host another event in future. Thank you!!!

Today we were going to celebrate my 5-year-old granddaughter in this restaurant, we booked a table for 7 pm in advance, we warned in advance that we were going to celebrate a children's birthday, but we had to leave the restaurant after an hour and a half waiting for service. None of the restaurant staff even apologized for ruining the child's birthday! We will never visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it to others. Also there was a company celebrating a girl's birthday, when we left the restaurant, they said that they had been waiting for service for 2 hours, and they would probably also leave...

Everything we had was delicious, and my granddaughter was very happy with her make-up birthday party! Everyone makes mistakes, and we thank you for rectifying the situation in such a polite and decent manner. I am updating my initial review as it is absolutely earned."

I had the opportunity to dine at Piccolo Bistro twice in the past two weeks. The food and service were excellent.
I highly recommend this neighborhood BYO in the center of Ridgewood.

Of all the restaurants in Ridgewood, Piccolo has by far the best patio for al fresco dining! The patio is tucked in away from the street; no pedestrians passing close to your table!
Very enjoyable ambiance!

Delightful dinner last night- food was excellent and served piping hot. Great service, new owner very gracious. Outdoor dining space is set back from the street with a retractable roof that was quickly activated during unexpected downpour.
Can’t wait to go back!
