We have a 15 year old dog with a possible nose tumor and recurrent seizures. We have seen both doctors and they have helped us through this hard time with exams, advice, compassion and needed medications that have helped give Trixie more time with us and a better quality of life in the time she has left.

Awesome folks who love animals work here. I’ve got 3 dogs and 2 cats that whole heartedly agree! Thanks for the great care!

We had an incredible, warm and lovely first visit today with Dr. Mills. Every single staff member we interacted with was incredible, and I had immediate trust with them handling our fur baby. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you so much for your care, knowledge and compassion!

Dr. Richter is the absolute best - especially if you have aging animals like I do. Dr. Mills is great too, you can't go wrong with Compassion. We go well out of our way for them - I highly recommend!

The Staff are very friendly and kind at this Compassion Vet Hospital. Dr Diane is the best dog and cat whisperer I know, and her sence of humor is so refreshing. Compassion, indeed.

New vet for us and they are friendly, accommodating and communicate extremely well. We moved our vet care from NC to NH and finding a good vet for our for family can be tough but we’ve found ours at Compassion!

Drs. Mills and Richter and their wonderful team saved my dog’s life. Their compassion (the practice is aptly named), coupled with kindness and honesty when keeping me abreast of my pup’s critical condition were greatly appreciated. They arranged for us to get acute care at SAVES in Lebanon after stabilizing her. I know everyone at Compassion, including the daycare staff, prayed for Tess that night. So wonderful to have such talent and dedication in our small town.

My cat, Moo, had his first physical with CVH this morning and it was a wonderful experience. I myself had been anxiously anticipating the visit but as soon we got there, the atmosphere and staff were so warm and welcoming that I quickly felt at ease. Moo was pretty nervous but everyone was so sweet and gentle with him. Even though it was only our first visit, I'm already looking forward to future interactions - I think even Moo had a little extra pep in his step once we got home. Dr. Richter wanted to do bloodwork and some other basic things which is to be expected but what I really appreciated was - rather than assuming I could afford everything right then and there OR trying to shame me into it - she offered to write up an estimate of what she wanted to do and gave me a no pressure option. I was able to go ahead with everything but that was a really refreshing approach compared to past experiences. I'm so happy to have found a vet that feels like a good fit for us and that I feel fosters a welcoming and open, patient-care relationship - thank you!

We had to prepare our dog for international travel, and I’m very glad that we chose Compassion. Every staff member I dealt with gave superior customer service. Dr. Mills was wonderful, and stayed on top of getting our health certificate back from the USDA on our behalf. There were a few times that we had to make last minute appointments, but Compassion was continually accommodating.

Originally we we patients of a vet nearby. They were great but when we got a 14 week old rescue we needed her to be seen but was given an appointment 2 weeks down the road. We actually saw an ad for Compassion Vet and called. Were able to get her in next day. Her name is Queenie. After getting her seen we were happy to see that they have a boarding facility as well. Every experience we've had whether it be Veterinarian and quality of care or boarding we have alway been 100% satisfied. Would recommend anytime for anything. And when it comes to boarding and daycare it nice to know our pup is safe and loved. Thanks to all!

My dog really enjoys his time spent at doggie day care and overnight boarding at the kennel. The vet next door is wonderful as well. I trust these very enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and caring professionals who take excellent care of my precious dog.

I have absolutely had the BEST experience with this office! Dr. Diane and her team are an amazing team! I have been going to them now about 5 or so years. They made sure that I was comfortable during the time I lost my best friend. My other dog and kitty still continue to go to them and I will continue to bring other friends here in the future.

Diane and the entire staff at Compassionate are absolutely wonderful! Honest, loving, and dedicated to their jobs!
You’ll go once, and instantly feel like family to them!
With a wide scope of veterinarian practice, the team can help, and do help in every way.
They really live up to the name of their business, and I am forever grateful!

Our dog is a fairly new patient however so far we are really liking this vet. The office did charge a fee for a test we didn't have done however they fixed the issue. Their website also states they do acupuncture but it's more of cold laser. However, so far Dr. Richter has been wonderful, not only is she great with dogs but she spent alot of time with us during our first appointment going over all of the health, potential natural ways to help our dog as well as backups with western medicine if need be. We feel very comfortable bringing him here and highly recommend the practice especially for people who like a vet who is happy to explore natural healing methods.

Update from 3 years ago -
Diane has been an amazing vet for our dog. She saved his life by thinking outside of the box and has been absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend her more!

We were on vacation in the area, and our dog tore off a toenail on a Friday afternoon. We called to see if they could squeeze us in that day and they did. The staff were all welcoming and kind, they took good care of him and gave us clear instructions for care at home. Thank you Compassion Vet Hospital!!

I met Dr. Diane Richer a few years ago. I searched out a vet to do oral surgery on my two cats. I use the vet in my town for routine shots only as they always seem to charge way more for procedures than quoted live in southern NH and drive an hour one way to her practice. When you meet her, you instantly know she absolutely loves animals. She takes the time to explain everything in detail, so you know exactly what your pet will go through. I just brought my dog there for oral surgery. I just love this vets office and all the staff! Highly recommend to anyone considering going there.
