Fox State Forest

Quick stop for a picnic lunch. Hiked about 2 miles Rt, along the Ridge trail. Saw the virgin forest. Listened to birds and frogs. Perfect for a quick stop. Will plan a longer hike when we return this fall.

A great day in fox forest, beautiful pictures! Not so well maintained though, I had to go off trail sometimes to get past fallen trees.

It was a wet hike, but beautiful area. Wonderful woman gave us advice before we started our hike.

Peaceful, quiet place. Make sure you watch carefully for the trail markers.

Hidden gem, I go there every other day. Not a lot of people which is nice because I prefer the quiet and I let my dog loose. Trail markings could use some work, but I'm familiar and don't generally stick to them anyway.

From the spring informative lectures to the vast trail network my dogs and I have enjoyed. This is a true jem of NH conservation.

Wonderful wooded, wide trails. Best in boots due to lot of water. Trails are well marked. Parking lot. Maps are even available! Thank you!

Amazing place with very varied sub-environments and hiking. It will be a very educational and interesting time spent here. A real hidden gem that should be part of your adventure!

There are several great trails which are easy to follow. Maps are really accessible, and the views are lovely. There are short and long trails and an information office. Lots of parking available too.
