Jive Cafe

I’ll admit I haven’t been to this place in about a year due to moving out of state, but this cafe was my absolute favorite place in the Cooperstown/Hartwick area. Their service was always much quicker than other cafes in the area and the staff were always friendly. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and they have amazing coffee! Please give them a try!

I've stopped in a few times while in town and every time was better than the last food was amazing and the service was outstanding and with a smile. The owner even came out to make sure everything was good. Can't wait to come back to Cooperstown.

Their Reuben egg sandwich is one of the single greatest things I have ever eaten!!! Incredibly consistent, fast and friendly service, excellent prices... this is the spot to go.

Traveling from the Midwest, we stopped at numerous cafes heading east. The hot mocha was the best I’ve had-great balance of chocolate & coffee! The thin and crispy pancakes were fluffy & delicious. The bacon & eggs were very tasty. Can’t wait to return.

Truly a great place for food , service and value. Locals gather along with visitors to share information and stories of travel . Jimmy is there to make things right for all and will fix food on request for special needs. Fresh food, hot coffee , tea, and cappuccino. A place to enjoy.

My son and I are from San Antonio, TX. We were in Cooperstown in vacation for two days earlier this month. Since our hotel was nearby, we decided to have breakfast at the Jive Cafe. Best choice we could have made!! Their omelets and breakfast sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Even the customers ( Joe and his couple friends) were fun and helpful. The entire experience at the Jive Cafe was outstanding. We liked it so much we went back the following morning on our way out of Cooperstown and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!

This place is truly bustling in the mornings, and for good reason! The iced coffee was delicious. Some of the best I've had recently and for a good price. The grilled cheese came with chips and was served quickly. Simple, but good!

Great breakfast sandwiches. We had the Reuben egg sandwich on a bagel and the jalapeno egg sandwich on a bagel. Delicious!
Those and the good coffee started our day off perfectly. Especially because the prices are very reasonable.

FYI: Order at the counter, then take a seat for your food to be served. There are inside and outside seats (socially distanced). If you order coffee, you go to the prep station to add your sugar, creamer, etc.

I am a local to the area and I have gone here for coffee and scones more than once...absolutely delicious for both. Today I ordered a Reuben sandwich and home fries. I cannot say enough about the service and the meal was out of this world. I do not like fatty meat and there was no fat in my sandwich. The home fries were fantastic...didn't even use a condiment, which I always use.

Decent place to grab breakfast either take put or dine in. It's one of few breakfast spots close to Dreams Park so it crowds quickly. That being said it was worth the line

Very good food, great atmosphere and even better service. Small town feel with genuine friendliness from the customers that were in the restaurant and from who I can only assume was the owner.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches, awesome lunch options like custom sandwiches and specialty breads. The owner is always friendly and considerate, and tries to make sure his staff meets his standards. As a local, I have been here many times and never been turned away for service or disappointed in the wait time. A hint : call your order in ahead of time if you need to be extremely quick, that way you don't need to wait in line.

Excellent food. Bacon crisp!!! Good coffee but especially excellent service. Staff here couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly!

We just stopped here for lunch before leaving town. The food was delicious, restaurant was very clean and the gentleman who took my to go order was very pleasant and friendly. I also appreciate their efforts to protect the environment. We will definitely return next time we visit.

Such a friendly and nice environment. Literally the best omelet I've ever had and the coffee is next level. Definitely missing this place now that we're back home.

As a cooperstown local I rarely feel inclined to write reviews. However, after frequenting the jive lately I felt the urge to convey what a fan of this place i am. Great food and coffee at a great price, friendly and efficient service, and a nice atmosphere. This is my new regular place for sure. So happy I decided to change it up.

Good food, delicious drinks, and top-tier service, all at a fair price. Great choice for breakfast if you’re in the area.

My family and I were in town for the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament and the house we rented for the week was across the street from this nice little cafe. We stopped in almost everyday for at least coffee but we also had food on a couple of days.

My first glimmer of excitement was THIN & CRISPY pancakes on the menu. Growing up my parents would make me crispy pancakes and I never see that offered in restaurants. So of course I had to try them out. And they were perfect. Thin and crispy on the edges. Drizzle some of that NY Maple Syrup and I was in heaven.

My son and father both tried the Tuna Melt and Chicken Salad Melt on different visits and both were highly satisfied. I had a taste of the Chicken Salad Melt and it was really tasty. If you're in the are and want some nice cafe food, this is definitely a place to visit.

I have lived in Cooperstown area for a year and have never come to this place until now - thank goodness I found it! Great food, great service, crispy bacon, great music, very reasonable prices. The portions are exactly what you would want and more. The barista was extremely friendly and helpful, even when we did not know the difference between an Americano and a "red eye" (pro tip: one has drip coffee and one doesn't). The jalepeno sandwich is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had, and definitely the best in the area.
