Los Panchos

I’ve been many times over the past 5 years or so and have never been disappointed in the food. I’ve also never had to wait to be seated or wait too long for the food.

My go to is the seafood chimichanga with rice and I get a side of beans. My husband loves the tamales with beef and wishes there was an entree that really featured them (he gets them ala carte with a side of rice and beans). We’ve had many of the entrees over time; spinach cream burritos, chili poblanos, the combo platters. Never had a bad or inconsistent meal. Haven’t tried it yet but glad they added carnitas and birria choices which are newer to the menu.

The only detractor is the location. It’s in an alley so if you’re seated and facing the window, you have a view of an alley. Would love if they were able the at paint the alley wall or something.

Will certainly keep being a regular customer.

I am a bit behind in my reviews, so the lunch I enjoyed in Delmar at Los Panchos is from late 2022. This is a restaurant that had been on my radar for awhile, especially as I heard they had birria as an option. It was everything I hoped for!

The dining area was more than half filled during the weekday lunch hour and the waiter was attentive. I quickly had chips and salsa delivered to my table as well as the water I requested. Birria tacos were on my mind from the beginning, so I ordered quickly. The wait was probably about 15 minutes, during which I enjoyed the child and salsa (possibly a little too much, as I had a tough time finishing the rice and beans).

The rice was good, similar to the rice one gets with the entree at most Mexican restaurants, and the refried beans as well. That is neither here nor there, as the most important part of this meal was the tacos. And they were soooo good! Tender shredded beef perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth delicious. The dipping au jus sauce was flavorful and a perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the birria tacos in particular. Can't wait for a chance to go back.

Also took a slice of tres leches cake to go and enjoyed as an afternoon treat - delicious also!

Our family loves Los Panchos! The complimentary chips and salsa could be my meal alone. So good! My daughter gets the Panchos Fiesta and it’s so flavorful without being spicy. Mi esposa enjoys different dishes, but tonight the Pollo Fundido. I’m, wow! Delicioso! I keep getting the Birria Tacos, but I’ve to try something different next time. Our picky eater 7 year old loves their mac and cheese, but said the cheese pizza was a 10/10! We always get a half pitcher house margaritas and it’s a perfect family dinner! Trust. So many leftovers too! 🇲🇽

Los Panchos is a very safe pick for Mexican food in the Delmar area. They have some great sangria and margarita selections. The food is top-notch. I had some Mole and my wife had fish tacos. We both really enjoyed our meal and had plenty of Mole left over for another meal. it is tucked into a corner of the shopping center anchored by Hannaford‘s. Try it out!

Great service and delicious food. We came in around 8pm, not much people there. They gave us chips and salsa to start. They give a lot of add ons for the tacos.

Our family enjoyed a late lunch today at Los Panchos. Everything was excellent, from my husbands “birria tacos”, my son’s “enchiladas de mole”, daughter’s “chicken fajita quesadilla “ to my choice of “Camarones a la Diabla”. Service was also excellent, with the waiter seamlessly handling multiple tables. It’s a great family owned restaurant in Delmar with a vast selection of tasty options for everyone to enjoy.

Excellent authentic , great service , food is delicious I ordered the El Vegetariano so great they have meatless dishes the guacamole and salsa are awsome a hidden gem will go again !! Keep up the amazing dishes !

Good food and drinks at a reasonable price. Great service. I enjoyed a special combination plate.

Oh yeah, this place is right on! A five star for sure, although I have only been once. I ordered the Birria Tacos and I was not disappointed! I didn't even eat them until about 1.5 hours after I ordered them and they were still amazing. The depth of flavor was great, the hot sauce and consume that accompanied the dish were perfect! Plus the portions were huge! I wish I took a picture of the plate but all I took was this stupid beer photo. Anyways, go here now!

Good food, good service. We got the birra tacos, birra chimichanga and margarita flights. Everything was great. Will definitely go back!

This is comfort Mexican food. My first time here and I will be back! Mondays are 1/2 priced margaritas, the food portions are great! My husband and I shared a single order of chicken, beef and shrimp fajitas and it was plenty plus more for both of us. Theres something about good, well cooked, mexican food. Warms my soul and brings me to my happy place! We will be back!!!

Amazing food, big portions, and prompt friendly service! Had the beef chile relleno, cheese enchilada and chicken chimichangas... everything was delicious. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Tried this place for a nice Cinco De Mayo dinner, It was lovely. A little small, not a lot of seating, but they make it work. The food was great, fresh hot and made to order. We would definitely go here again.

Had a nice time. Food was great. Service was fantastic , The staff was so nice . The margaritas were huge. ,and so v good.

Came on a Friday around 6pm with two young children. Zero wait to be seated. Staff were kind and welcoming. Food came out fast and was incredible. My 5 year old who is an incredibly picky eater was very happy, as was everyone. The house margarita was fantastic. Portions and quality were far above expectations. I will absolutely be coming back and would recommend to others.

I have lived in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Florida so I feel like I know good Mexican food when I find it, and this is definitely it! Huge menu and spot on food! So delicious!! I had the Birria Chimichanga and my husband had the Grande Special! Perfection! And the tequila menu is awesome also!! Great margaritas!! Definitely recommend!!

First time customer ... My new go to place for authentic Mexican food ...

Our first time ordering to-go food from Los Panchos, so we ordered several different items to sample their entrees. The food was absolutely delicious, very nicely packaged, and the staff was very pleasant. So glad to have a new restaurant to return to in the future. Highly recommended. Thank you
