Sal & Dom's Pastry Shop

This bakery has been in the area since I was child and from their boxing it says 1956. I recently went to pick up 2 sets of cookies and 2 Flans for the Thanksgiving dinners I was attending. Both houses loved each of the things I brought. The workers are very polite and thankfully the line was not long at all like some other bakeries I've been to in the Bronx.

OMG, I went there to buy myself a birthday cake. I ordered it over the phone, and I asked for Raspberry Cream, a buttercream vanilla cake. Well, the next day, I went to pick it up, The young girl informed me to pu it in the refrigerator because it was just made. I brought it home, and when I opened it, it was simply gorgeous. When I cut into it, it was delicious!!!! It was such a delicious cake.I was out of my mind.We finished it in two days!!

Went to Sal & Doms for my mom and aunts surprise birthday. As a longstanding pastry shop within the neighborhood my family was well aware of the quality of the service provided, however, we had never ordered a cake there.

For this event, it being their 70th, I knew I wanted a two tiered cake with imprinted pictures of my mom and aunts life on it, however, I putzed around on the flavor profile for sometime.

I pitched ideas to the staff, at times it seemed endlessly, but after sometime, and careful thought, I went with placing an entire order thinking that was the route I wanted to take, only, however, to scrap those entire plans a week before the party, and going with my first choice.

What a choice-- white chocolate mousse and raspberry jam filling with almonds around the outside--And, the staff didn't even bat an eye on my 360 when I came in to make the sudden change.

I have to say, not only did the cake turn out exactly as I explained amd envisoned it to the staff but, WAS, hands down, THE best cake I have ever eaten.

The amount of compliments on it were endless among the entire guest list, this, mind you, coming from a family of over 50, who have longstanding ties to the Bronx, which at this point in time, spanes nearly 100 years, and , as you'd expect, hav their own favorite bakeries.

I'll end by saying: Thank you Sal & Doms for all your hard work, attentiveness, and above all else, continued high quality baking! All your hard work made this party one that I hope will be remembered for a long time to come.

A guest brought these delicious pastries to our superbowl party and I was blown away!! I loved the variety and how fun the box was wrapped. Definitely a delight!

Never had the pleasure of trying anything here, I'm way over in Pelham Bay. I asked my mom and she told me that everything here is absolutely delicious. Her neighbors used to always get pastries from Sal & Dom's to bring over to my Grandma's. I'm going to make my way over there! I feel like I'm missing out on something very very special.

We love this bakery! This family owned & operated Italian bakery has a well deserved legacy they have worked hard to create. The space they’ve created is warm and welcoming, as is the service. And now, for the pastries. The pastries are so good. So decadent, the portions are plentiful. The Napoleons are the perfect ratio of flaky center layers to soft and light cream. Our second favorite are the eclairs, see how stuffed the “mini” one is in my pics. These pastries are a girl’s best friend. Did I mention how good the prices are?

Went in today for the first time and had a slice of their chocolate ny cheesecake and it was so good (as you can see from the pic lol). For the price to quantity ratio I would say its just right especially during these inflation times. Service was great. The staff was cool and overall a great experience. 10/10 recommend 💯

I would actually consider moving to The Bronx, if it meant I could be a stones throw away from a delicious pastry at Sal and Doms

Amazing bakery! I love everything about it honestly! My favorite place to go. I travel from Connecticut to New York just to get their cakes and cookies. It's literally my favorite bakery of all time! I highly recommend! Great customer service, they're so sweet. I just love Sal and Dom's!

I have been eating Sal & Dom’s cookies and pastries for my entire life. My aunt to get pastries and cookies from them every single holiday for all of us. The cannolis are superb. The cookies so fresh!
Recently, I needed a last-minute anniversary cake for my in-laws and I also ordered 2 pounds of mini pastries. Unfortunately my father-in-law got very ill and we could not have the gathering. We had to cancel the 2 pounds of pastries and they were so gracious about it, but the cake was made and we were really happy to be able to give to my in laws for their own special treat my in laws loved it. . Sal and doms did it last minute and for the most reasonable price around. I highly recommend, the nicest people Old school way of doing business very rare these days

Hats off to the crew at Sal and Dom's. Prompt efficient service, beautiful website, patient and professional staff. We had our wedding cake done by them 20 years ago. But the cake designed and created by Carlo for my 65th birthday party in April is still remembered and talked about by our guests. He helped me decide what flavors to combine for the filling and with some adjustments made a one-of-a-kind lasting memory for me! Thanks again!

Whenever I return to the Bronx I make it my business to visit and treat myself. Their consistent quality speaks volumes about the pride and dedication put forth. Excellent biscotti!

They made me a really cute cake, at an affordable price. They were also able to put fresh fruit inside. The women running the front are very sweet and helpful.

I went to Sal and Dom's to order the cake for my husband's 60th. I explained what I wanted to Carlo and the cake was PERFECT. Besides being delicious, the decorations were exactly how I envisioned it. We got our wedding cake from them 5 years ago too and it was amazing. You will not be disappointed!

My dad has been dealing with Sal & Dom's bakery before I was even born and as for myself now I'm buying pastries from this bakery I love it & would recommend it to anyone that want some good fresh pastries
