This place is amazingly delicious! Been craving catfish for a minute and decided give them a try. Food was sooooo good. Met the owner, and he was very professional! Great customer service all around! Even bought some pies to satisfy my sweet tooth!

A gem hidden in Kent. I’m not sure how many people know about this place because I expected a line but there wasn’t one. The hush puppies are amazing I had 10 easy because they tasted so good. Make sure to get the Cajun sauce with the hush puppies. I also had the shrimp po boy and I loved how they didn’t skimp on the shrimp and the shrimp had good flavor. Finally I had the craw fish etouffe probably the best etouffe I’ve had in Seattle. Once again a ton of craw fish and a ton of flavor. I’m coming back again for the etouffe and hush puppies.

Little bit of Louisiana in Kent! I could linger in that store for hours! Best little pecan pie I've ever had! And all kinds of exotic meats and sausages!
You gotta check it out!

Love this store! I've never had an experience in the NW like coming into Althas. The owner greets everyone who comes in with a smile like you're long time friends. Even the other customers are super friendly and just happy to be there. No other store like it and I couldn't recommend a better place to experience Southern cuisine!

It’s so hard to get good boudin here. Not only is Altha’s boudin good and authentic, it’s some of the best I have had. His special gumbo/boudin mix is so delicious and he offered us a free sample. Not only is the food amazing, they are so beyond friendly. Thank you for giving me nostalgia today and I will definitely be back!

Wonderful selection of Southern Cajun foods and seasonings. Gator burgers, rabbit, boudin, hot sauces, hush puppies, meat rubs, sweets, etc.
If you want to try something new or add spic to your meals, stop here!
Thank you. We look forward to coming back.

Best place to eat in all of South King County. Amazing food, big portions nice price. Perfect location and friendly service; deserves 6 star rating. Authentic ingredients and cooking, getting hungry just writing this review. I had the 4 piece fried catfish with hush puppies and a nice sweet Snapple Mango Madness and ate on the pleasant Meeker St. sidewalk. #MeetMeOnMeeker #KentWA

The owner of this place was sooooooooo friendly!! Im from the South so im used to having southern hospitality (something seattle lacks lol) but he was warm and welcoming. Showed me around the store and gave me some updates on all the new items to come. I've never felt like I was back home until I walked in this store. They literally have EVERYTHING you need and everything AUTHENTIC actually from Louisiana. They definitely gained a lifetime customer. I've been looking for crawfish tails and dressing mix to make rice dressing for monthssssss. Glad I was able to find it in a store and not have to order online.

Finally found the most authentic crawfish etouffee I've had up here in the PNW! It really does taste as if I was back in the south. Super friendly staff who are very humble and make you feel like family. The hush puppies are amazing as well. This place half restaurant half small store which sells many goodies you'd get back in the 504. Will be back to try other things on the menu.

Not many of these places around & I have to say I am very impressed. I can't wait until they expand & have live Blues during lunch. I am so glad to have them close to home & work & I will be back for sure. All these places seem a little spendy but I guess that is supply & demand & the love they put in their food. Definitely worth the treat every now & then.

Everything that a store should be! The folks there left me smiling for the entire drive home, just from the way they treated each and every customer! The gumbo was so good I had to get a few containers of it to take home. Also, one of the few places I’ve found anywhere that sells gator. I went in looking for ingredients to make myself a jambalaya, and I left a lifelong customer. This place has all the charm, open hospitality, and good food that you could ask for, and more.

I definitely see myself coming back here again and again in the future.

Of all the local businesses I’ve ever been a patron of, Altha’s Kitchen holds the #1 spot in my heart. It’s a beautiful day with some beautiful accents. The family who runs it are Louisiana natives and do special orders to bring that southern spice to the PNW. I can’t express the gratitude to be able to eat food that I haven’t had in years that connects me to home. Who dat!

Great, they have Blue Bell ice cream in the pints for $7.99 esch. It's better than ordering four half gallons at $140.00. Most of the charges are for shipping. But it's worth it!

I had the 4 piece catfish and fries, it was pretty good. Also had 3 tamales, the boudin smoked pork. Really enjoyed the boudin. So much more to try on the menu.

It's like home. I left my heart in NOLA, and this place even has Camellia Dried, beans. You have to know these regional favorites.
He also makes a wonderful Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice.
I'm home.
