Very calm, good vibes with Spanish music. Made me feel at home with my mom. Food was great. One of the best mangu I had in a long time. Waiter was quick and attentive, he was also the only one on the floor.

This is a nice diner. Staff are very friendly well lite inside, appetizers were good main course was also good, for a busy spot food came to the table really fast. Well, be back enjoyed the food

Everything was exceptional! Lamb chops with tostones, chicharrón shrimp Mofongo and bbq Cuban sandwich! Flavor overdose!!!! I would’ve shared pictures of the food but we couldn’t wait to dig in. Our waitress was extremely attentive to detail really enjoys making her customers happy! Gracias Odalis Bueno!!!👏👏👏

I went to celebrate my beautiful Mom birthday and my sister's daughter, nephew, and nieces. The decorations of the location were beautiful. The waitress took care of us quickly, despite we were a party of 10. The food was good, couldn't complain. Will definitely recommend this location to others.

I had not been to this place in years. And it still does not disappoint. The ambiance is very nice. The food is still delicious. The service was great.

I’ve been here multiple times and when i say the food is bomb i mean it I’m determined to try everything on the menu. I have never been disappointed. It’s worth the price! The servers are amazing i did notice recently a few new servers whom are a little bit slow but I’m sure they'll get use to it and pick up the pace. Tip is included in the bill and the drinks are fantastic my favorite drink is passion colonial.

A nice food I like that sometime I'm going to New York I think that's my new Latin restaurant in the Bronx, we ordered passionfruit Mojito and Mofongo and White. 👌🏻 also Master Barber CT we do a collaboration with anyone and we do support small and big business.

I ordered the Duo De Monfongos, which is mashed plantains and cassava with Churrasco steak and shrimp in creole sauce. The price was good and the food was amazing. They also have a super cute bench outside for photos.

Good portions and yummy tasty food. The servers are really nice too. Loved it!

My chicharon mofongo, was delicious. I truly enjoyed my lunch. Service was good. The only thing I was a bit bothered by, was the tip included in your bill. I feel that should be on the customer to give. We all have different experiences. Other than that it was great.

Food&drink was delicious, the ambient was really nice, this is the first Latin Cuisine restaurant that i go to and has candles on the tables, clean and neat tables. I live like a couple of blocks away so 100% will go again. Staff was great, the lady even invited us for an anniversary event that was going to be held the week after. Thank you!!

Update: I actually went to get some take out food and again it was great.

El Viejo has established a really wonderful restaurant. Not only is the food amazing and the staff spectacular; but he has captured a quintessential piece of NYC with this restaurant. Sitting here eating dinner, sharing a nice bottle of wine, watching the train roll by as the sun sets; you really feel like you could be in a movie scene. A definite must when visiting NYC.

Beautiful service, keeping traditional culture foods alive. Food portions is great and tasty. Lovely place to bring family or date night.

Came here with family to celebrate a special occasion. Food was delicious and service was great. Also nice looking restaurant. Drinks were good (Dominican margarita) Recommend the fried snapper with shrimps, yuca fries were delicious. Will definitely come back.

The food and service here is awesome. I forgot to take more pictures because I was busy with my delicious piña colada. First Time here and coming back.

I LOVE cafe colonial! The service is always great and the food is sooo good. I had the crab mofongo and it was delicious 😋 the quesadilla was good too but if you visit you better try any mofongo, all of them are cooked to perfection! The drinks are also amazing try the Dominican kiss (lots of alcohol) or the mojitos (passion fruit is the BEST).

Cafe Colonial is the best restaurant in the Bronx. The food can't be beat. I wood recommend this place to any and everyone. I can't wait until I find myself in the the area again. Gb from the boogie Bronx
