I discovered this shop a few years ago and every time I make my way to Western Washington, I make it a point to stop here! The owner is the most friendly guy and I once met a lovely friendly woman working too! There is no hand dyed yarn here, instead this shop carries online yarn, but in store. (For example, ICE yarn) There is some Lion Brand and Red Heart, but he carries varieties that I never see in box stores. I love that you can see online yarn in person. Technically it is a tiny more expensive this way, but you save on shipping costs and can feel the yarn in person first! There are also lots of accessories available for sale, and LOTS of books! The owner is also very good about recognizing both knitters AND crocheters! (Unlike some yarn stores..) Overall, I recommend this store. There is SO MUCH yarn inside. And if you can’t make it to Des Moines, there is an online Amazon store!

So much variety in this shop! It can be hard to find vegan yarn in local yarn stores, so I was really excited to find exactly what I was looking for (Bamboo Pop Sock by Universal Yarns).

Stopped by on New Years Eve check the store out since we were in the area. Google said it was closed for the holiday and on Saturdays, so we were just going to peek in the window. To our delight, they were open!! This store has an incredible variety of high quality yarn. The colors and fibers available are stunning. The owner is an absolute delight and shared so much information with us about yarn. The owner absolutely knows yarn, knitting, crocheting, looping, and pattern design like a rockstar. We learned a lot and look forward to coming back soon to pick out yarn for new projects. After you are done shopping for yarn, walk over to the little donut building and have a tasty treat to cap off a great adventure.

Love this delightful shop! I visited a year ago while just driving through and have been telling people about it since but forgot exactly where it was until I found it just the other day. Morgan is super knowledgeable and helpful. I had unique yarn he helped me pair and I had questions about crochet to knit conversions he was easily able to answer which kept me from buying too much yarn for a project. I also purchased a beautiful set of knitting needles ❤ Will definitely be returning, Morgan is a gem of a resource.

I made my first visit today and was happy with the super friendly and welcoming service. When I asked about a pom pom maker, I wasn't simply pointed to the item, I was asked many questions to make sure I got the right item and understood how it worked. They have a terrific yarn selection (my husband even took a photo or two of all the colorful stacks) and found some beauty Studio Donegal to bring home. I was asked if I needed it wound and if I ever needed project help, to come back in to take a seat at their project table. Definitely a place I'll come back to again.

This is an amazing gem of a shop with a wonderful, caring owner. Morgan is not only knowledgeable and extremely helpful but also went out of his way to spend time teaching our Girl Scout troop the basics of knitting. Thank you so much!

Absolutely LOVE this business!
So much vegan and high quality yarn selections.
I love the fact that he had a selection for spools, with great options. I purchased three, because they were unique that you cannot find anywhere else!

Owner is personable!
Great first experience, definitely my favorite place to purchase my yarns and will come back for more!

I was so pleased when a yarn shop opened in Des Moines. I was even more pleased when I met the owner and I liked him. He, Morgan is very down to earth kind of guy and a wealth of knitting, machine knitting, and crochet knowledge. You can bring in any project (even if you got the yarn elsewhere ) and he will help you with your problem. Another plus is that you can come in and knit and he does not charge you. It's a nice shop to sit, knit and socialize. I have also met a lot more men knitters in this shop. I have met knitters of all ages, and all skill levels.

Nice variety of yarns too.

Awesome store. My boyfriend and I were just there and we each got yarn for our next projects. I wish I had discovered this place sooner because it was clean, well-lit, well-stocked, and the owner was very knowledgeable. We'll 100% be coming back because it was an absolute heaven out of an Elizabeth Lenhard novel.

More than you'd expect a yarn store to have. Threads and beautiful yarns, as well as many notions. Friendly service and community oriented. Sit and stitch.

I very much enjoyed my experience at this store. My husband and I were visiting from out of town, and were pleasantly surprised to see a yarn store near our hotel. The proprietor was a very friendly man who gave us some helpful tips about starting to crochet a blanket, right down to the size crochet hook. It's too bad we don't live in the area, or I'd surely be a regular customer!! Great service, and highly recommend!

Love this place. Great selection of high quality yarns in different sizes, colors, and textures. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. That really makes a difference. I go at least 1-2 times a week. This place offers classes too!

I have been coming to this store for 4 years, off and on, and have always received great assistance from the people there. When learning to knit (I was a crocheter), Morgan, the owner helped me choose a pattern and simple yarn. He is a great teacher and showed me varieties of yarns and patterns, as well as demonstrated how to do stitches that I was not familiar with.
That's why I keep coming back! And I know how to knit now.

There aren't many yarn shops in the Seattle area that I haven't been to and All Points Yarn is one of my favorites.
Take your time if you go, there's all sorts of yarn, not only in the front of the shop but also in the back.
Lovely yarns that inspire you to knit and/or crochet.
Morgan is very knowledgeable about each and every yarn in the shop and he is also helpful with patterns if needed.

The gentleman in the store went out of his way to helped me. He got me back on track for my blanket that I was knitting. I had added stitches to my blanket. He took the time to take me through the process to put in other knitting needles, taking out the rows, then showing me how to take out the extra stitches. After all that then showing me how to hide my tails in my blanket. I really love this store!! I am back enjoying my knitting again.

Morgan fixed several holes in a blanket that is over 40 years old. He was such a pleasure to work with and was so kind since the blanket is a favorite of my son’s. I absolutely recommend him and the shop!

This is such a pleasant shop. Every question I had was answered, the gentleman was very nice with my daughter, and I left with exactly what I wanted to get started on a new project. This is definetly a store for anyone from a beginner to experienced and for those who love fiber arts.
