Litvinov Alan DDS

I first met Dr. Litvinov ten years ago when we moved to Penfield. His office happened be across the street from my house and after the first visit, we were loyal customers. I love the small town feel of the office. The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. Dr Litvinov is wonderful. He is both professional and personable. Even though we only see him once a year he remembers what our entire family has been up to from year to year. He gave a great recommendation for our orthodontist when it came time for my daughter to have braces. I always feel as though my questions are answered and my concerns are addressed at the time of the appt. Even though we have now moved, we will continue being loyal customers. Thank you!!

I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist, but Dr. Litvinov and Judy are both very personable people! It is a smaller practice stationed in a home which made me feel much more comfortable rather than being in a large commercial setting. I am confident that my concerns were addressed accordingly. I am happy to be a patient here!

Dr. Litvinov is very friendly and nice. I did not have any cavities in the more than 3 years I have been seeing him, so most of my interactions are with his office staff and dental hygienist. Hist dental hygienist, Donna, is amazing. She gives me the most thorough cleanings I have ever gotten. The prices are better than what you get at places like Aspen Dental too, and they aren't always trying to sell you something you don't need.

Dr. Litvinov has been my Dentist for many years. He is kind, compassionate and does Excellent Work. He created the best fitting partial I've ever had and I'm so thankful for that. I won't go anywhere else. I highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr Litvinov's for as long as he has been in practive. Not only is he a great dentist, but also he is a really nice guy. I feel that he really cares about his patients and i highly recommend him. Signed Lowell Twitchell

I am a new patient of Dr Litvinov. I found him easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions in a professional manor. I hope to be a patient of his for many years to come.

Good dentist—but was asked to leave after cancelling 2 appointments. Bummer to have to go!

Pros: took my insurance, got me in quickly, Dr. Litvinov has a good sense of humor, good parking.

Cons: no explanation about there not being a hygienist to normalize the experience and/or put me at ease, did not show me the x-rays after letting me know I had two cavities, wasn't offered anything to rinse my mouth with (literally had to pick shards of tooth out of my mouth after the fillings), wasn't shown my teeth in a mirror after the cavities were filled, wasn't offered anything to wipe the drool off my face, one of the fillings was very rough and bumpy and I ended up going back to my old dentist and paying out of pocket when pieces of the filling continued to fall out when flossing (she ended up smoothing the remaining part of the filling down at no cost).

So, I won't be going back, but I do hope Dr. Litvinov will consider implementing some changes (many that require very little effort) that will make his patients feel more comfortable, valued, and/or confident they'll be receiving quality dental care. My experiences were extremely different from every other dental practice I've been to. I don't believe a patient should have to advocate for truly basic services (I was so taken aback, it did not occur to me to ask to see the x-ray, ask for a swish of water to get the pieces of tooth out of my mouth that he saw me picking out, ask for paper towel to wipe up my drool, etc.). I truly hope changes are made to make this review obsolete!

I was suppose to get my braces done in May but he said I need a deep cleaning. I called the office many time to see if they ready to do it but they alway said they will leave the doctor the message. They suppose to follow up on my case and update me on what going on instead of having me calling many time and still don't get an answer. Horrible service.

I had an appt made and was going to be a new patient, however I decided to call back and cancel it after a rude and offensive conversation with the doctor himself. The office kept calling me relentlessly to confirm my appt, which is understandable that they want to confirm. However with having 4 kids at home, I do not have my phone on me at all times. I wasnt given enough time to even call back as they kept calling me. Then I was able to answer on one of the calls and it was the doctor. Explained why they needed a confirmation due to covid and people not showing up, again, understandable. It was not until the rude comment that he made that rubbed me the wrong way. I had asked why they kept calling me so many times as I was going to call back to confirm this appt. I am on a Medicaid managed plan and he replied with people on Medicaid managed plans tend to not make their appts. This was very offensive and not ok as I haven't ever missed any type of appts and if I have to, I will call in advance. Judging people and putting them in a different category based on their insurance type is very wrong in many ways. Needless to say, I will not ever do business with them or recommend them to anyone.

He is a very nasty person. I was eight months pregnant and he spoke to me in no way a professional of his capacity should speak to anyone, much less a client. If I could give him zero stars I would. He is a terrible person and I truly feel bad for his wife. If he is willing to speak to an almost stranger in the way he did, I can only imagine how he treats those close to him. Not to mention, his staff did not seem surprised that I stormed out in tears. They were apologetic and said they shouldn't speak with me because he would get upset with them. My husband called the office and demanded he call back, and not much to my surprise we never heard back from him. You speak to a woman in that manner but not another man. Shake my head. Karma is a wonderful thing!

I was wearing my temporary tooth cap almost 2 months. My appointment was rescheduled several times. Dr. Litvinov worries about his vacation trips much more than his patient.

Lazy dentist - the cleaning I had done was rushed and sub par- the cavities I had fixed were problematic and or not fixed properly- the tooth I had pulled had bone coming out weeks after, the chip I had fixed still needs work- needless to say I am not going back.

My daughter had a very negative experience there went to see a different dentist and told her the technology of the X-rays was very outdated which used 4 times the necessary radiation for X-rays and that she did not have the cavities that this office told her she had

Called take an appointment and left message on voicemail, never heard back.
This is not a good start, even if they are or not accepting patience, should still call a potential client back.

This guy is very unprofessional very disrespectful has no clue what he’s doing look like a mental sick do not go there at all. He has no manners how to talk and he cannot speak any language . Super Duper confused person.

Very unprofessional has no idea how to talk with the patient. I wish I never went there. He has very bad communication.
