I highly recommend this place, I have been having my hair done by Alexandra for years, I cannot thank her enough, she has introduced me to new looks, techniques and styling. I always feel so welcome at Alexandra Beauty Salon and the results speak for them self. Amazing, lovely, friendly, always reccomend. Thank you Alex.

I go there for a wash and set. Alexandra does an excellent job. She is also gentle in combing my hair out.

ATTENTION ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN: BE CAREFUL.
This salon is putting perm in their deep conditioner to permanently straighten and destroy our natural hair, without our knowledge. Do Not Be Their Next Victim! They told me they were putting shampoo in my hair. They told me they were putting conditioner. THEY lied. When I walked into their salon my hair was thick and beautiful. My beautiful. I had the curl pattern of 4c natural hair type. I loved MY hair the way it was. Today I have violated hair, “permed against my will” hair, damaged hair. They RUINED my hair. Please do not let them ruin your’s.

If you live in Mount Vernon Please DO NOT go to Alexandra Beauty Salon at 770 S 5th Ave. They relaxed my daugters hair without her knowledge or her consent. They are mixing RELAXER into their shampoos and conditioners. Then they applying this mixture to women and children with natural hair. Then they add more if you agree to a "Deep Condition" Please Do not go to this salon!!! Do Not let this happen to you or anyone you know.
Women who choose to wear their natural, wear it with pride. We cant allow salon owners to come into our communities and violate us with their lyes and decents. This is somethings that is taking place more and more through the country as African American woman are choosing to go Natural. I wont let this salon owner believe that she can get away with this. I intend to make sure that she doesnt coment this crime in our Communtiy again. This was a direct attack on the African American Women. An attack on who we are, our hair, our Rights, and our Culture.

DONT LET HER GET AWAY WITH IT. NOT TODAY! NOT IN MOUNT VERNON!!!
