Edit: Dr. Northorn called me and we had a very open conversation. Finally got to see the real Lawrence - can confirm he's a genuine guy and looking forward to our hard reset for my next visit.

Ive been a patient of Dr.Northorn for many years. He is a well informed, knowledgeable, caring practitioner. His staff are always polite & helpful. Wait time is normal for a doctors office. He is very compassionate & personable. I have recommended his practice to multiple friends & family members. Its rather shocking reading some of the reviews about wait times in the middle of a pandemic. Be grateful that his office is open & extended hours to serve all !

Dr. Northorn is awesome and so is his office. The nurses, medical assistants and front desk staff are always kind, both on the phone and in person. They never make you sit in the waiting room for very long. I had to go in for a sick visit a few days ago and Dr. Northorn was not in. I saw the on-call doctor, Dr. Darrow, who I also loved. Always have a good experience here. Thank you.

Dr. Northorn has been my primary care for many years. As someone in the medical field, I did my research before picking a doctor. He has an excellent reputation. His office operates very well. They have excellent turnaround for paperwork. He has a great team and gets things done efficiently! I trust him with my family and friends!

Dr Northorn has been my doctor for many years and he’s the best. He listens when I have an issue and works to help me find the answers. He not only cares about his patients but he cares about their families as well. My daughter has been undergoing chemo for a rare cancer for over 10 years and even though she’s not his patient every time I had an appointment with him he would ask how she was. I always knew he was a caring, compassionate doctor but seeing his response to the ongoing pandemic has been amazing. His office does their best to accommodate all patients, even new patients, with covid testing to ensure they’re not waiting on long lines outside at other facilities. When arriving at their office if we have to wait, we simply wait in the car to avoid contact with others. Going into their office we know it’s clean and sanitize after each and every patient, I’m grateful for the care they take in ensuring our health and safety. If you want to feel like your doctor cares about you, Dr. Northorn is the man to see.

I have going to Dr.Northorn for years. The staff is always kind and efficient. The Dr. is one of the kindest, most caring Physicians I have ever had. He always takes so much time with me and makes sure I am comfortable with all of the choices we make for my health. My husband and my daughter are patients and they also adore him. 😀

I was recommended by a friend I went to HS with bc I was in desperate need of finding a doctor. I haven’t had a primary care doctor in years. My fiancé and I both made an appointment with him because we needed a referral for a specialist that we see. I have never been to this particular office before. I do have to say that the waiting room is huge and comfy. There was maybe a 5 minute wait time IF THAT which was awesome! The receptionists are very helpful and polite, even on the phone as well when I was scheduling the appt, which is hard to find nowadays trying to deal with making appointments with doctors. The one and only complaint I have with my experience is that the medical assistant had a bad attitude. But I brushed it off, I do understand that people have bad days but you’re not supposed to bring that to the work place & especially taking out your anger on someone who didn’t do anything and whom you’ve never met before. Within 3 minutes of her leaving, Dr. Northorn came in and greeted me with “open arms” so to speak. He has a great personality, very personable, has great bedside manner and actually has a sense of humor, which is one of the things that is important to me. Even though I only met him for the first time today; Personally first impressions are everything (I am good at reading people very well, I don’t even have to know you to get a feel of what type of person you are) & he gets a 5 star rating for that. He even gave me a dab lol & said “nice to meet you and welcome to my practice.” My fiancé had a great experience with him as well. We really like him as a doctor & will be keeping him permanently for our primary care physician.

To be quite honest, I normally don’t leave reviews on anything but I think leaving a review for something as important as a doctor is imperative just in case you were/are someone like me who was trying to find a PCP. If are looking for looking for a PCP & don’t live far from East Islip, I would totally highly recommend this doctor for sure. I hope my review helped.

Dr Northorn is a true gentlemen that actually cares about his patients. He lets you explain how you feel rather than just runs tests and treats according to the results. Totally recommend. Office staff is polite and is extremely accommodating with scheduling etc. Very rare these days.

Dr. Northorn is a wonderful and caring doctor. His office is very clean and his staff is efficient. When we had a Covid scare in our home he was caring and informative and put us all at ease in a very tense time. Plus the wait time was great... I had heard rumors of people standing on line for hours for a test and we did not wait line at all!

Have had nothing but good experiences at this practice! Even when super busy Dr Northorn takes the time to make his patients feel at ease. Knowledgeable and personable! Would absolutely recommend.

If your looking for a great doctor look no further than Dr.Northorn . Anything said other than fantastic service and caring staff is far from the truth . Dr.Northorn has helped me and my family through some tough times during this pandemic . Time and time again he made our health a priority and put our minds at ease . Not only is Dr.Northorn fantastic , his staff was extremely caring and made us feel very comfortable at every visit , from the staff upfront t at the desk to the staff that are in the back , one in particular Stephanie . Dr. Northorn is kind and listens to his patients. He has treated my family for many years. He is not the type of doctor that just prescribes pills and sends you in your way. He listens, comes up with a plan and then follows through. With all that is going on with COVID he still treats his patients with the time and attention needed for their proper care. I highly recommend him to others looking for a family doctor.

Dr. Northorn is a wonderful and caring physician. He saw my mother as a new patient with a covid exposure, and when she came for a recheck, he noticed a cognitive decline in her and sent her right to the hospital where she was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia. Had he not caught that, we may not have her here today. We are forever grateful to Dr. Northorn and his exemplary staff.

I drive out of my way to see Dr. Northorn, about 20 miles each way. His compassion, understanding and attentiveness are second to none. Dr. Northorn's heart is bigger than him, and he's about 6'6! He is absolutely the only Dr. I'd trust with caring for my health.

I’ve been going to Dr. Northorn for quite a few years now. My whole family goes there. I really can’t imagine going anywhere else. He’s caring, considerate, and very intelligent. He diagnosed my son with pemphigus vulgaris, a very rare autoimmune disease. It was confirmed by a specialist but four prior general practice doctors had no idea what the symptoms were being caused by. In today’s world of people doing everything fast and not paying attention, it is very reassuring to use a doctor with old world values.

Dr Northorn is amazing. He’s thorough considerate and caring. You won’t find a better physician. Dr Northorn takes his time to make sure you understand every aspect of your care.
