Islip True Value Hardware

It might be part of True Value's chain but this a hardware store from back in the day. If you're having trouble finding something they most likely stock it. They have knowledgeable staff and friendly service. When I mentioned back in the day little did I know how far back. The owner showed me a picture of the building in its original design shortly after it was built in 1847 as a general store and another in 1926 with a new storefront both of which I've posted.

Islip True Value Hardware was was great!
They were the only local hardware store that was open during the snow storm, they had shovels (Home Depot didn't), and everything else i needed. They were shoveling the entrance when I pulled up, and they have a plow that clears the parking in front. Very happy.

Best hardware store ever. They always have anything you may need and you are in and out in 5 minutes. (Try to find a 2 inch stainless steel bolt at home depot in 5 minutes..good luck) Doug and his staff are always very helpful and great problem solvers. Their goal is to solve your problems and not just sell you something you don't need.

Went in to get a few bolts for my kitchen table home depot had none long enough the 2 gentlemen worked on the base trying all different sizes, shapes half hour later not only did they find a bolt but put on extensions, so it would fit, and assembled it all for$5.00! now that's what I call going over and above thanks again guys

I love this hardware store. They have everything you need & give excellent advice. I broke my new Halloween garden witch while assembling it. The gentleman in the store found the perfect fix and I left happy (as always). Shop local!!

Love this place so much the owner is super nice. Will help you with anything. I have been going there for years. There is a little bit of everything words cannot describe how sad I am that it is going. Just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for many many years

This particular store has all the oddball hardware I have ever encounter and needed. Been using them for years. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Hasn't failed me yet.

This is simply the best Hardware store I have ever been to. I have been using them for more than 14 years and extremely happy with the service and knowledge of everyone. Five star service always.

Why go to Home Depot and take an hour or more find what you need. Islip True Value you are walked to what you need with a smile and your out the door in 15 minutes. Also, they a large collection of stainless Steel fasteners, at 1/2 the price of West Marine.

Friendly staff, all checked I was being helped. Plenty of things needed for a solid boffer sword. *duct tape not included
