J&R's Islip Steak House

Phenomenal food. Great prices! Love this place. Their stakes are out of this world. When they didn't have the brand of beer I asked for, the waiter made an alternative suggestion; Great choice of beer!

My husband and I visited this establishment for the first time and it won't be the last. We loved the food and the service, very friendly environment and staff. Our food got to our table fairly quickly and the waitress was very courteous to us. Her suggestions on the menu were excellent and very helpful. I highly recommend it 👌🏼 👍🏼 😌

There was about a 10 minute wait but it was well worth it.
J&R's has a midwest ristic hometown feel about it.
The waitstaff is extremely attentive and the place is very clean.
Now the Steaks are very good and made to order. I really liked the signature steak sauce😋
I had the JRs Steak marinade.
My husband had the Shrimp scampi he said it was good.
Everyone else in our party of six said their food was really good.

Then they made our night by serving not only cheesecake but delicious brownie sundaes. Yes a fantastic end for a good meal.

This place is really great! I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was scrumptious and juicy! I would recommend this to anyone in Islip.

My husband and I visited last night for Valentine’s Day. With a 5:30pm reservation, we were seated promptly. Our waiter (apologies for the name slip) struck the perfect balance—attentive without being clingy. 10/10 for customer service!

As for me, the marinated burger was like a secret whispered by the culinary gods. Each bite was a flavor explosion—a symphony of juicy ecstasy that made my taste buds do the cha-cha. Seriously, it was so good that I briefly considered proposing to it. 🍔💍

We had a great evening at my mother birthday dinner. The staff was so friendly and accommodating our group of 12. I got the prime rib and my wife got the marinated skirt steak, both cooked perfectly and so good. We will be going as regulars from now on. For the amount of food you get for the price it's unbeatable especially nowadays.

One of the best steak house in the Long Island: I think I ever been. The size and tenderness of the steak in that price can beat to any steak house. Stuff members are also nice. Definitely will come back again.

One of my favorite steak place. Friendly staff and great food. Came here for the pasta salad. They give you this when you are waiting for your meal. The lunch was only about $11 per person.

I work in a Nursing Facility and today was one of our residents birthday, all month he spoke about how he was going to J&R for a birthday steak. My resident went alone, took the bus in a wheelchair and enjoyed a delicious lunch for his birthday. When he got back from lunch there was something that made his day he shared with me, the owner of J&R in Islip not only chatted with him, he was kind enough to treat him to his birthday lunch. It's not about the money, it just goes go show there are still kind people in this world. This act of kindness truly made our residents day and days to come.

Honestly great environment! It feels like I’m family every time I go in there. Very festive for the holidays, great deals for quality food. Recommend this place to anyone.

The bartenders and servers are all wonderful. The steaks are the best! Very reasonably priced! I love this place!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The whole feel is amazing and excellent food. I like being able to go out to a restaurant that's not one of those big chains. Our waitress was an older woman who was super sweet. The only negative thing I could say was that I thought kids meals were free on Sunday through Thursday, we went on a Monday and were charged for the kids meals. We were a large party celebrating a birthday and the birthday girl chose this restaurant (they live in Suffolk) I just wish there was a J&R's in Nassau County and a way for me to get a J&R hat for my husband 😂

Ordered the lunch Special marinated sirloin came with a side and a salad was delicious cooked perfectly only 12.99 we also got the regular marinated skirt steak with side salad and fresh vegetables. We eat out quiet often and we go to J&R’s a lot they have the best happy hour specials, the best daily specials and the best lunch specials the food always comes out hot and cooked perfectly. This is also the only place I will get skirt steak they give you good size piece not like other places . The mussels are also delicious here and don’t forget the garlic bread to dip in the sauce🥰

We've been there more then once for lunch . Prime rib lunch special ,cooked perfectly. Billy our server was very helpful polite . Our all around experience was very pleased . I recommend 👍 👌

Who needs a fancy steakhouse with exorbitant prices. J&R has great food for resonable prices. The staff is friendly and attentative. Great place to eat with your family. Will definitely be back with friends. We went back and we'll be back!
