Second run prices for first run. movies theater is 90 style theater but usually 3 flicks and the kids love it. Love the exterior looks like a special vintage place. Kids concession prices are awesome. Safe part of town. Parking is not the easiest but possible and since the theater is not huge I can relax a bit with the kids.

Purchased tickets for my two daughters and myself all for twenty bucks. Two boxes of candy for eight and the picture and sound was great. Very polite and helpful staff. Sure, the place hasn't been renovated like every other place on Long Island but the pricing and atmosphere is like no other theater on L.I. as well. It's a pleasure to be able to take my children to a theater that was like the movies when I was growing up. We all had a great time and will definitely return.

Amazing cinema, large screen and clear audio system. The place is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The price of tickets and concession items are also unmatched by any other movie theater I've ever been to!

Nice local theatre. Comparatively inexpensive, yet still carries first run / opening night movies. It's a 1940s / 1950s style theatre with three screens. Once upon a time it only had one huge cinamascope screen with a large auditorium with a large mezzanine and balcony. Now the former balcony is their large theatre and the mezzanine is divided down the middle into two smaller theaters, which are still about the size of your smaller theaters at a modern multiplex. It's worth full price just for the ambiance and nostalgia, but they only charge $7.50 for and adult full admission. It's a great place to see a movie. It's not as cool as the old 1920s and 30s cinema halls with their red velvet, chandeliers, and gold leaf, (like the old Bay Shore Theatre that got turned into the YMCA), but it's the next best thing.

Great spot for a quick cheap outing grest staff always. The popcorn is good. Candy prices are to be expected. Cant beat the ticket prices. But dont be looking for the island 16 exsperince. Its rustic it has character.

Old theater, great price. I have been here several times in the spring without any issue. They were cash only theater. I'm hoping they start or started accepting credit/debit.

I love this place, I was brought here once by a friend now I come here all by myself. I love this place never crowded, yes the seats maybe a little scary but i love this place, I cannot stress this enough this place has character and I honestly think this place needs to be a town landmark so it never goes anywhere!!!

Absolutely love this place. Its very retro and cheap. Not much to offer in snacks but they have the classics. Candy, popcorn, and drinks. Will come back again.

It's an older theater that needs some renovations, but the movies start on time and concession stand prices are the best you'll find in a theater. Support the little theaters now before they're gone!

i love it i had lots of elbow room and the price $$$ for everything is decent from popcorn 🍿to candy🍬and also movie tickets you should bring family and frinds here if your on a budget...great place

Awesome little theater. $7.50 for an opening night ticket. Fantastic staff. My go to movie spot from now on. Only con is that they only take cash.

IF ANYTHING the people of the township,need a lesson in manners ,but that's a matter of
Parents living up to training their children correctly,that is something the children,will unfortunately Will have to address,I would suggest they remain in their town ..because no matter what state,city or town they go to they are due for a awaking ! And I have seen spoiled children awakened sadly far from home in other countries and other states, sooner or later the piper gets paid.Be I haven't seen so many rotten kids in one town .And I lived in Islip for 3 1/2 years. There is a lot of underlying hatred in Islip..they created their own little world..if you walk with the devil ..no good comes from him ..First lesson! I listen to ssatin. (by doing his bidding the out come you will never enjoy.) Bring your kids ,but stay with tthem..

By far the best movie theater around they are very old school theaters but at the same time you get the same quality in 3D as you would had a giant Multiplex food is movie food nothing to write home about but still good but the price of the tickets is the cheapest around I don't go anywhere else but Islip

Staff :polite,caring,and helpful,they should start on weekends at 11:00am ,Islip Cinema ,worked very well price great,its towns people should be ashamed of how they allow their youth to behave, untrained ! ! Would be a kind word..Islip cinema 5 points people of Islip..well around 2.Newsday should go and address the issue ,its across from town hall, I wonder when was the lastime they went there on a saturday or sunday..its not the cinema fault !!!

I enjoyed going there as a kid and am so happy to see it back in business. A great alternative to the pricey high end screens!

If you miss South Bay Cinema, this is the place for you. Inexpensive movie viewing, concession prices are decent. You basically get what you pay for, so if you want a cheap movie, go for it. I will return.

Definitely would recommend this place to anybody with kids they have a $5 ticket fee and they have a box you get popcorn or candy and a soda the five bucks best place

local and homegrown mom and pop cinema. It is small but carries the most up to date movies and inexpensive compared to others. One complaint is parking though

Great staff with good deals on snacks.. Movie screens show very nicely and my children love going there.
