Garden Cafe Woodstock

I recently dined at this vegetarian restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food served. The restaurant was bustling with customers, which added to the lively atmosphere. I particularly liked the fact that they have a garden that opens up during warmer weather, providing a unique dining experience. I look forward to visiting again when the weather is nicer.

A real treat! So much great Vegan & Gluten free offerings. We shared 2 appetizers & 4 entrees between 3 of us and had lots of leftovers to bring home. Price was reasonable and eating in the garden was beautiful on this September 22, 2023 day. A great central location in Woodstock NY to walk around the town from. I look forward to going back.

Garden Cafe was our favorite stop on our little vacay up north. We stopped for lunch and to charge our car nearby before a hike at overlook mountain. Highly recommend checking out this cafe - it has delicious sandwiches, burgers, bowls and desserts. We also got hot chocolate (so good) and tea. Be sure to take a look at their specials! We got the cashew brie which came with a lovely rosemary blackberry compote and fresh toasted baguette which was possibly my favorite. The carrot cake was super yummy too with praline pecans (& it’s gluten free!)

I've dined here a few times on my travels to the Catskills, and it's always a huge hit! This cafe is always busy! The staff are SO kind and helpful. Their smoothies and fresh pressed juices are delicious. The menu has a wide variety of vegan meals, you cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! I love that they source local and organic ingredients too. The atmosphere inside is just cozy.

I got the portobella panini, which I absolutely loved. So tasty! Filling too. My husband got the macros dish with tofu. Everything was delicious, he especially loved the seaweed salad. He said he could eat this dish everyday. Excellent service, too! No wonder it was a busy Saturday afternoon at the restaurant. Lovely food and staff!

Loved the atmosphere and service! My friend and I ordered mushroom sandwich and cauliflower tacos. We also shared carrot cake; it was delicious, a bit on the sweet side but very good. I would definitely recommend the mushroom sandwich, it is exceptional! Their focaccia bread is amazing! Definitely recommend for both vegan and non vegan food lovers!

One of the best vegan restaurants I've been to! The food and drinks are absolutely delicious! Their mushroom panini is so so good! I had Garden Cafe for lunch and dinner the next day! Their sweet potato black bean burger is also amazing! Their atmosphere is very welcoming! I'd make a trip back here just to eat at Garden Cafe!

Impressed by the variety of vegetarian options at this restaurant. The food was both fresh and delicious, complemented by amazing and friendly service.

One of the best meals I’ve had in the long time! So many options and the daily specials were so fun! We got the baguette with cashew brie, tofu satay, noodle less lasagna, and pesto pasta. Would recommend absolutely everything! Our server Lee was so kind and helpful! We were so full but needed to try the dessert and got the brownie to go and it was amazing.

There is a reason I keep coming back - rather, there are reasons. The food is delicious and nourishing to the whole body; it is made with love. The people who work here are kind; they extend kindness to meet everyone where they are. The people who come bring themselves without trying to fit some mold; the space holds whatever is brought. May this wonderful institution keep thriving for our community and those who visit.
Yes, I also come for the black bean quesadillas that I can’t stop ordering, and when we are in a dessert mood, the carrot cake is for lovers of carrot cake.

We visit this vegan / vegetarian favourite every time we are in Catskills.
Everything on the menu is very thoughtfully made. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. I will never forget the Primavera pasta and the garlic bread along with it. The best garlic bread I have eaten!
The fruit juices are fresh.
Their location is excellent.
The staff is very polite and extremely warm.
They allow pets indoors and are super pet friendly.

Garden cafe not only has the most delicious vegan food; This restaurant simply made our first Woodstock experience! The food was so good, we came for lunch and dinner. The vibe and energy of this restaurant is very special. It’s a “must go” if traveling to Woodstock, NY!

The place is swarming with honey bees..everywhere. There were small cups on a railing that were swarming with bees. I have no problem with bees..JUST a warning there are MANY. 🐝

My wife, son and myself were visiting for the first time to Woodstock NY. We found this cafe/ vegetarian restaurant, soo beautiful and welcoming. the food was delicious and the attendants were all fantastic. One more thing the people of this town Woodstock are all beautiful and kind. Stay as you are , 99% perfect human beings.

100 stars for Garden Cafe at Woodstock. I absolutely love this place. Excellent service. Food, so amazing it's better than what I make at home. Lots of options to choose from -- and plenty of it. In this day and age where so many vegan restaurants are over-priced, at this one you can have a great meal for two, with drinks, appetizers, and dessert/coffee for just $100. You can't beat that! The entrees are plentiful. I ate there around 2 p.m., and eight hours later I am still full, which is not normal for me because I'm always hungry. I wish I wasn't two hours away, I'd eat here at least once a week. And, to be honest, I would have to say this is the BEST vegan restaurant since Pure Food and Wine closed down. I love that there are so many vegan restaurants, but this one is the BEST.

Try the Lentil Loaf when you go here. Hearty meal, amazing sauted kale and great gravy over mashed potatoes. This was one of my fav vegan meals ever!!

Amazing service and outstanding food. Pots of amazing teas, especially the fresh ginger/lemon tea. Meals prepared to order and arrive piping hot. Potato kale soup with corn bread and upgraded salad was delicious. Dining companions burritos were also delicious. None of us are vegan but the quality of the food has us reconsidering.

This cafe is perfect.

Tasty tasty tasty, my dish was tasty. I had the red lentil loaf and this dish was flavorful and filling. The steamed kale was on point, the apples, the sauce. I enjoyed the whole thing and filled for the rest of the day. I also had a delicious juice which I was able to order combining many veggies and fruits. Enjoy your lunch here :)
