Mandarin Kitchen

First time customer. Went out to eat for my grandma's 90th birthday. We had made reservations so we got seated right away. They do take reservations if the party is large enough.

The wait staff was excellent. They took our drink orders right away. We got our food orders next. We all got either the individual or family dinners. The food was excellent. Big portions and very tasty. The cashew chicken was perfect. And the almond fried chicken I had was delicious. I plan to go back next time I'm in town. The only issue is the parking is a little tight but worth the effort to eat this delicious food.

Casual (and busy!) American Chinese restaurant across from the marina. Absolutely delicious and large, shareable portions. We came in about 8pm and didn’t realize they close at 830 and the staff was attentive and very friendly despite that. I will be back to try more of the menu!

Our go to restaurant for family dinner, great tasting 😋 food! And the 2 owners are very nice folks 😊 we always get the bbq pork fried rice along with different Ala Carts.

This place is fantastic! Food is delicious, staff are thoughtful, kind and attentive, and there are a number of happy regulars you'll see there (the staff know their names AND favorite dishes!). Everything I've eaten here is tasty- and I can't stop thinking about the Five Flavor chicken we had yesterday (YUM!). Definitely give it a try if you haven't; you will not be disappointed.

Their food is always really good. Mike the manager is very nice. Him and his staff are very friendly and attentive. They make sure you get what you want fast.

Mike and Connie are wonderful people. We always have a good time when we come here. The food came quickly, the servers were very attentive and friendly. Pricing was good.. My new favorite dish is the 5 Flavor Beef, but the Honey Walnut Prawns are good too.

I've been coming here for decades, and I love the food. I love the people. you really can't go wrong here if you like Chinese food. In my opinion, they have the best Chinese food in the area.

Parking may be difficult, but there's a lot next door and spots across the street

My friend and I enjoy going to mandarin kitchen at least once a month. We like sitting in the bar and the bartender waitress is right on. She had not seen us for awhile but she remembered what we drank and caught that I was not ordering the meal that we typically like to share. Always enjoyable and the food is delicious.

Food was delicious and we got the $20 dinner package, so good!

This restaurant has been around a long time always fresh homemade recipes great prices and service.. Just the thought of their combination fried rice sweet sour chicken Sesame chicken mongolian beef 3 star spicy😍 i am drooling!! Des Moines best kept secret💙

The service was really good. Employees are really kind and friendly. Very affordable prices, The place is clean and organized. They kept checking on you, how you are doing, if there’s anything you need etc.. the food was really good too!

One of our "go to" places for Hot & Sour Soup (which I started grubbing on before I remembered to take the photo)!! Their lunch combo specials are pretty awesome! Not greasy or over-seasoned. I love the Sweet & Sour Shrimp! Hubs into the Sweet & Sour Pork; and the Fried Rice was extra yummy!!

110% fabulous! The sizzling rice soup was exactly what the doctor ordered- nutritious, veggie filled with soft and scrumptious proteins. Truly a healing and soul satisfying experience. Super kind, sweetheart family running this jewel. Mindful, clean, in- dining. I'll be back when I fly across country to visit my son, who lives in the area. Thank you, dears🙏❤

A little on the cold side, they were busy...Seahawk game...but the flavor was amazing!

The Egg Foo Young sauce was little plain for my taste but excellent after I added a packet of the soy sauce they give you:)

My new place! I had been looking for a place that had great wonton soup and I finally found it! The food is delicious and fresh !

New favorite items: crispy Hong Kong style noodles with chicken, basil prawns and mango chicken (see my photos). In the past I favorite was the moo goo gai pan chicken and Szechwan beef with added chilies. I have had the triple grand duke with added chili peppers that’s good too. Serious prompts and friendly! There is a separate room for private events/meetings.

Delicious food that's always fresh will delight the whole family accompanied by the attentive and friendly staff! This has been the favorite dinner place of my family since I needed to use the high chairs here. The food is classic and always tasty. The hot and sour soup is my favorite and it is thick, not watered down. I can't get enough of their menu!

Absolutely loved this place. My wife Google searched this place after worked and we gave it a shot. Man it was great. We'll definitely come back.
