New Tokyo Teriyaki

We always get takeout and folks working are very nice and order is accurate. Spicy chicken and dark meat chicken teriyaki are my favorites. I get a full order or each which makes four meals for me, great value. Meat is cooked to perfection and we have been getting takeout for years. You need to try this place!!

Sold yaki spot on the main drag in the Des. Food quality and service are both excellent. Place is clean but they use some kind of bitter smelling solution? Pine sol? Don't know but it's a little off-putting. Still great though.

Parking lot can get a bit full but plenty around on the street.

My go to Teriyaki place. I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always excellent, the place is always clean and the staff friendly and really care that you like your food. Recommend!

This is my my favorite teriyaki place, I first went here the day after Thanksgiving of 2019, delicious food, I would mostly get teriyaki combos, today is the first time I went here since March of 2020, unlike last time the orders were in to go boxes even when I was dining in, because of safety concerns, Food was delicious as always, I had the spicy chicken and pork combo. Cannot wait to be back!!!

A long time gem in the Des Moines, WA. Staff here are very friendly. Phone your to-go order if you are in a “rush”. Black tea, and water are complimentary while you wait. The lunch specials are offered M-F from 11am-2:30pm, always a deal!! Good food quality and flavor is great!

Fresh, flavorful, well executed and fast! Very large portion size. Chicken site-fry.

I love this establishment! The ladies at the front are the sweetest <3 and the dishes are consistent.

I rotate between the spicy chicken teriyaki, the chicken katsu, and the short ribs. If you’re feeling a little extra hungry I definitely recommend the gyoza. And if you’re feeling super extra hungry, get the fried rice. Huge portions and it’s greasy -as it should be.

Huge shoutout to these guys for real though, they keep me and my family well fed!

The food here is always amazing. I enjoy coming here after work to just get a quick dinner, and I wish this was closer to my job because I'd probably eat here lunch too 😅 there's a really sweet woman with glasses working the front who is very kind and wonderful to talk to. Prices are going up unfortunately but I doubt that will keep me away.

The food is always fantastic here. The young lady that's always working up front is always friendly.
They have a nice new system that let's you see the item names and prices as they're rung up.
They get an order for two out within 10-15 minutes.

Favorite work lunch spot. It's increasing in price, but so is everything unfortunately. I like the spicy chicken teriyaki because it's more likely to have a bunch of crunchy bits. The chicken gets extra caramelized from the spicy teriyaki sauce and it makes for quite a meal. The rice seems to provide the soft side to the crunchy chicken. When I say crunchy, I mean it in a good way, I promise! It's crunchy but tender. Truly my favorite teriyaki!

Omg.... This place has amazing food....I ordered the BBQ short rib and boy were they delicious.... The char on them took just added a while new level of taste to them....I also ordered the stir fried rice with need and shrimp and it's one of the best stir fried rice I have ever had.... Of you have a chance to go, you won't be disappointed. The staff was support friendly too.

Just checked this place out for the first time tonight! Very good quick service and delicious yummy food! Lots of variety and the cashier behind the counter is super sweet and helpful!

Delicious teriyaki and the best spicy chicken & pork! :) It's not too sweet, and if you ask for extra spicy - it's even better! The portions are huge and I'm only capable of eating half the meal before grabbing a to-go box. I highly recommend coming here for a quick and delicious meal.

Always kind, best chicken breast matsu. Miso soup is delicious. Fried rices always fulfilling, and still amazing for lunch the next day. Definitely a family favorite!

Hands down the best teriyaki south of the international district.

Score! Good basic teriyaki, generous portions and oh so friendly staff. We had takeout for five and had more than enough to eat. Looking forward to our next teriyaki order out eat out!

The tofu teriyaki was really good 💕
