TLDR: great market with high quality food and cooked items

Came into the market on a Saturday and it had plenty of people inside ordering food to go items or the fish deli where they serving lots of people. They have some cool stuff including Asian style craft beers and other drinks and snacks that I’d love to try! All in all, great small market in San Mateo

Been shopping here for almost two decades. Love their great choices of sashimi, hot pot meats, sake, frozen foods, and hot cooked foods. Super efficient and friendly check-out service. Parking during the weekend might be a challenge, though.

This supermarket is a must stop. Regardless of whether you're hungry looking for food or already ate and heading out. The hot and cold Togo items are super yummy. Everything Japanese. Seriously looking for fish. Go to the back. Our family loved it. Don't forget about park across the street. Perfect place for a quick picnic.

I recently visited Suriki Supermarkets, and I enjoyed the experience. The store had a great selection of Japanese snacks, drinks, and other grocery items, and I was particularly pleased with the quality of the food that I purchased.

One of my favorite items was the salmon onigiri, which was delicious and fresh. I also tried the spicy salmon sushi, which was equally tasty and had just the right amount of spice. The store had a variety of other sushi options as well, all of which looked equally appetizing.

Parking was a breeze as there were plenty of street parking spots available. The store itself was not too big, but it was not too small either, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience. The prices for the items I purchased were also quite reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise given the high quality of the food.

However, I do have to say that while I enjoyed my visit, I still prefer Mitsuwa Marketplace in Saratoga, San Jose as it is much larger and has a wider variety of options. Nonetheless, this Japanese grocery store is still a great option for those looking for a smaller store with a good selection of Japanese items.

Overall, I highly recommend this Japanese grocery store to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine or is looking to try something new. With its excellent selection of food and drinks, comfortable shopping environment, and reasonable prices, this store is sure to please. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Small but excellent Japanese grocery store. I love swinging by Suruki for some quality soy sauce or other Japanese staples, some very fresh fish to cook (I love mackerel, and they always have it), or just some pre-prepared food to go.

There's no line to get in, unless you're waiting for the sushi sale.

The mushroom selection is great. They have fresh local ones from Half Moon Bay

They have grab and go bentos and lunches. There's cold drinks, like the juice and flavored milk boxes. The fresh local strawberry cake rolls and assorted muffins and cupcakes are pretty good too. They moved some stuff to the refrigerated cases to the left

I really like the gombei tofu in the refrigerated section, and the specialty produce (chrysanthemum greens, sashimi)

They have oyster sauce and other random Asian sauces not just Japanese. Like Vietnamese rice wraps. Many people go for the sushi and fresh seafood

Very very nice Japanese market, very easy to find parking space because the San Motel down town center parking are about 100 yards away!

Very fresh sushi and sashimi! Also hot Japanese bento boxes!

Limited fresh produce but very well stocked fish department ! Lots Japanese specialty grocery you can find here but the price are bit high!

Very busy in the weekend and evening!

Suruki market is one of my favorite places on earth. The food is on point whether it be the sushi or hot food. The market itself is well stocked and organized. You wouldn’t believe how happy I am that my dog groomer is right next door, so I have that much more of an excuse to come here! Prices are unmatched

I don't actually shop here regularly, but this is one of my go to places for sashimi! I always recommend this to people, especially if you are pre-planning food (you order by the pound). Most of the time they are able to whip out a sushi platter the day of as long as you order before 1PM. There's options to add more ginger/wasabi and rice, and you can also add other kinds of food they have too. The fish has always been fresh for me, but at times they've gotten the order wrong. It is also convenient because if you needed anything else it’s also a market!

Fresh Sashimi! Great prices! Great selection!

It's so nice of them to cut the fish into sashimi slices and plate it for free!

Also a great place to buy fresh ramen and broth!

Got my onigiri (rice ball) fix at Suruki today. Like an addict, I walked out with over 10 onigiris to share with family. Did I over do it? Nope. They have the traditional triangle ones as well as the 1/2 circle ones. I enjoy these usually for breakfast. But today, I already had lunch and will eat these as an afternoon snack.

Awesome Japanese market! We go here on occasion to get fresh fish. Prices are good considering what you’re getting and food is great! Whenever we’re in the area we try to make our way here to get some food to go. Definitely recommend stoping by if you can!

I visit Suruki Market a few times a month. They have good selection of bento meals/ sushi/sashimi. If u got time to waste try waiting in line for half off all prepared foods, it's worth the wait.

One my favorite indulgence is fresh sushi and I found this Suruki Supermarket through friends and online. Everything was fresh and hand cut in the Market. I got to sample the Surf clam, salad
Seaweed salad, Blue fin tuna, extra fatty belly, Scallops, Fresh salmon, Blue fin tuna, and Yellow tail. They also sell sushi rice on the side. The fish was delicious and soft, melting in my mouth. I definitely will be coming back here.

Can you believe the sashimi plate below cost below 40 dollars? Come here for quality sashimi for modest prices! Must-have: tuna toro; Nice-to-have: salmon, octopus; ikura is a bit saltier, but well worth this price!

Ordered a whole bunch of different makis, nigiris, and rolls online for a friends' gathering. Store called me to ask if I would like the orders to be combined and I did. They plated my order into party platters and it looks and tastes amazing!
