Easy roll in for gas, did self service, used my safeway points 😀 and back to the freeway (I84)

This cake was so good I ordered from Oregon for pickup on our way. Kristie was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect 🥰 Not only was it beautiful but delicious as well there were many compliments that day. Thank you Kristie and the cake decorator you are awesome 😍

We stopped in to check out the deli and found the BEST customer service people in everdome period. One was African American and the one that we eventually chose to sample their food was I think Hispanic. Both were extremely friendly and polite and interacted with us very well. I wish the deli people in Yakima was that happy to help their customers.

Clean. They have a great variety if cat foods, the deli has GREAT, reasonably-priced fried chicken (and baked), an offering of hot Chinese foods, and the usual grocery store fare. Incidentally, Safeway's coffee brand (Sumatra, my favorite beans to buy. Tiger on bag!) is comparable to other, more famous,coffee. Less expensive and, Bueno!!

Here in The Dalles, if you want to get in and out quickly, go to Safeway. Beats FM hands down. And if you've never tried their breakfast burrito they are good. For lunch sometimes I'll get a grilled Panini and that's quite tasty too.

Jess is always a great manager,or assistant manager,!every employee I've had any interaction with have been super nice. Only place I'll get my groceries at!

It looks like the general layout of the store in The Dalles is similar to the one in my town, Leavenworth. It's nice to be able to walk into a store anywhere and be able to easly find what your looking for.

I don't know that I have actually ever been to this store, but we have family in the area and we use the floral department to send flowers. We call from far away and ask for a beautiful arrangement to be sent and within a short amount of time, our family there receives prize-worthy bouquets from the floral department. Each time we call (once a year), we have been helped by a very kind and patient lady who promises us a wonderful arrangement and each time our family has given it great reviews. Thank you! We will be making our yearly call very soon! (The kind lady there is 'Amy', if I remember correctly.)

The cashiers are kind, sociable and get you through the line rather quickly. I also like the fact they have hand wipes available at the door to wipe the grocery carts with. Reasonable prices, deli staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. Love the chicken! Have ordered it for potlucks more than once, always a hit!

I would like to tell you about these two AMAZING, RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL employees at the deli, it was a young gentleman with blue eyes and a young smiling lady . They were so awesome and nice while we went yesterday May 16 at around 7 pm o we are here for vacation and it is nice to mset people like this. Please recognize them because they deserved it. Anderson family .. they loved my cat shirt.

This is a great grocery store. We enjoy coming here to shop for things when we visit The Dalles. They have wonderful produce and a wonderful variety of snacks. The store is really big and they offer a very nice selection of products. Things are very easy to find and prices are very affordable. I shopped at this store when I lived there and for me it's always nice to go back too. The employees are so nice and very helpful to their customers. I would highly recommend this store if your in the area. The service is wonderful and the employees make you feel so welcome. They also have a pharmacy, florist. Bakery and starbucks. So they provide many services other than grocery shopping.

Always good customer service! Every single time I go to Safeway to the meat department they're always willing to help out and never complain about slicing meat. Unlike Fred Meyer they never want to slice any meat, and they're always trying to convince me and other people to get the packs of meat that are already sliced just so they don't have to work. They'll say, "Get those packs, they cost about the same price and they are just as fresh".

Beautiful fruits and vegetables. Decent deals if you shop the sales. Fresh deli. Lovely flowers. Enjoy the clean and large Starbucks. Lots of room in the isles. I am a devoted customer from here on out.

Awesome safeway. Employees are always nice and it's rare something I want is out of stock. The employees are so awesome that when our car battery accidentally died, they immediately offered to help jump it.

The staff are really great here! Always nice and great to talk with. The parking lot may or may not have free kittens sometimes lol 😂

Lots of parking, easy in and out of store. Store was clean, with several foods, such as cheese, strawberry dipped in chocolate to taste in preparation for Mothers Day. I bought corn on the cob, New York steak, cherry tomatoes and a strawberry vanilla torte cake for supper tonight. Looking forward to dessert!
Update....i started a keto diet since.. lost 12 pounds, on my way to goal of 25 total loss ..

Nice store, carries most everything you need and want. Really nice bakery, fresh produce, top quality meat department. Not always very deep in canned goods and sauces choices at times but they still offer more than the local competition does. No bulk foods department and a small but growing selection of gluten free and natural foods choices. Frequent sales prices, very fair prices and a very clean store make Safeway a pleasant place to shop.

i went to Safeway to turn in bottles and cans. They had a large recycling area, with several working machines available for use. The recycling area was clean, there was an employee immediately available to do my hand count at the end, and cashing my tickets in at the u-scan was quick and easy.
Turning in recycling should ALWAYS be this quick and easy.
I truly appreciated their store, and their customer service.

Every time I walk in and out I smile. Every minute I’m in there, I enjoy myself. Beautiful Store. Really nice restrooms. Really nice walls. Nice everything.
